Description
The present invention relates to a casting apparatus and a solution casting method for forming a film used as a retardation film from a dope.
A retardation film is used for the liquid crystal display, and the required quality for the retardation film is becoming stricter as the liquid crystal display has a larger screen and higher definition. Optical properties are regarded as important quality requirements.
As a method for producing a film used as a retardation film, it can be said that a solution casting method is preferable from the viewpoint of the optical characteristics as described above. The phase difference film market continues to expand, and with the expansion of this market, it is necessary to improve the film production efficiency in solution casting.
The solution casting method is industrially performed by a continuous method. That is, the casting process until the dope is cast to form a casting film, and the casting film is peeled off, and the drying process of drying the film that is the stripped casting film are continuously performed. Increasing the speed in the casting process of the casting process and the drying process leads to an improvement in production efficiency.
Therefore, in order to increase the drying speed of the casting film, conventionally, as in
In Patent Document 2, wind is blown onto the casting film for drying, and the angle formed by the direction of the wind and the surface of the support is set to 45 ° to 80 ° or 90 °. In
By the way, in the method of drying a cast film by applying a wind, in order to advance the drying effectively or efficiently, the air blown as a wind is heated and heated. As described above, when heated air is applied to the casting film, the exposed portion of the casting surface on which the casting film is not formed gradually rises in temperature. If the temperature of the exposed part of the support rises too high, the temperature of each side of the cast film rises too much and foams.
Therefore, in order to prevent such an increase in the temperature of the exposed portion of the support side due to the wind blown on the casting film, in Patent Document 4, a wind shielding plate is provided, and the wind does not hit the exposed portion of the support. I am doing so.
However, the method of flowing wind parallel to the casting film has a problem that fine lines extending in the casting direction are generated in the casting film, although the drying speed is higher than that in the case where the wind is not blown. Further, in
Here, in the method of
Therefore, in view of the above problems, the present invention provides a casting apparatus for preventing foaming of a cast film while further improving the drying speed of the cast film in order to increase the production efficiency of the film by solution casting. An object is to propose a solution casting method.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a casting film by casting a dope on a casting surface of a belt-shaped casting support formed in an annular shape, and stripping the stripping film. A region to be heated on the non-casting surface by the pair of heat transfer suppression means provided in a plurality so as to be arranged in the running direction of the casting support and arranged so that the distance becomes smaller toward the downstream. It is preferable to narrow the width as it goes downstream.

The blower sends dry air adjusted to a predetermined temperature and humidity to the duct 18. The duct 18 is arranged so that the slit faces the conveyance path of the film 12. Each slit has a shape extending long in the width direction of the film 12 and is formed at a predetermined interval in the transport direction.

The second casting surface side air supply /
The
By arranging the

The first casting surface side air supply /
The air supply unit 61 includes an
The
By sending the gas from the opening 67 a facing the
In addition, the drying efficiency is improved by blowing the gas in a direction perpendicular to the film surface, thereby lowering the solvent content of the

The temperature of the gas from the
The gas blowing speed from the
The
As the wind shield member, a block-shaped member that covers the area from the
The
The space between the pair of
The
The
The
The plurality of
The
The first casting surface side air supply /
The
The gas from the

As with the first casting surface side air supply /
Since each structure of the air supply part 86 and the
The air supply unit 86 blows a gas having a temperature higher than that of the
The
The
The

Thus, by using the first non-casting surface side air supply /
The third non-casting surface side air supply /

The
In the present embodiment, the air supply unit 86 that outputs heated gas is used as the heating unit on the

(I) 2.0 ≦ A + B ≦ 3.0
(II) 1.0 ≦ A ≦ 3.0
(III) 0 ≦ B ≦ 2.0
The total substitution degree A + B of the acyl group is more preferably 2.20 or more and 2.90 or less, and particularly preferably 2.40 or more and 2.88 or less. Further, the substitution degree B of the acyl group having 3 to 22 carbon atoms is more preferably 0.30 or more, and particularly preferably 0.5 or more.
