Description
The present invention relates to a spectrometer (diffraction grating spectrometer) that uses a diffraction grating as a dispersive element, and relates to a scanning diffraction grating spectrometer that sequentially measures the intensity of light of each wavelength by scanning the diffraction grating. It is.
In spectroscopic measurement for measuring the intensity of light for each wavelength, a diffraction grating spectrometer is often used. FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram showing spectroscopic measurement using a conventional diffraction grating spectrometer.
In the diffraction grating spectrometer, the posture of the diffraction grating 1 with respect to incident light (angle with respect to the optical axis) is gradually changed, and light of each wavelength is gradually emitted from the
In the scanning diffraction grating spectrometer, when the attitude of the
With respect to the above point, an example of spectroscopic measurement in the near-infrared region, which is often performed in the measurement of the component of the sample, will be described. For example, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2009-115669, fatty acids contained in meat are obtained by irradiating meat with near-infrared light of 700 to 1000 nm while spectrally irradiating it and knowing the intensity of reflected light or the like. A technique for measuring the amount of the component is known. Also, in the field of environmental technology, which has been especially emphasized recently, for example, in component analysis of eco-feeds (feed made from food waste, also called food residue feed), samples are irradiated with near-infrared light. The amount of components is known by measuring the spectral reflectance or spectral absorptance.
In measuring the amount of components in such a sample, if light with a wavelength other than the light that should be incident according to the arrangement angle of the diffraction grating is incident on the light receiver, that amount is noise and the measurement accuracy decreases. Directly connected to The high-order diffracted light described above is also typical of this noise. In particular, in the case of spectroscopic measurement for measuring the amount of a component in a sample, the reliability of the measured value is often greatly impaired by the presence of slight noise, and it is required to remove noise as much as possible.
For this reason, even in the measurement of the component amount of the sample that is performed by irradiating the light in the near-infrared region while performing the spectroscopy, the
As described above, in a scanning diffraction grating spectrometer, it is necessary to use a cut filter in order to remove high-order diffracted light from the light to be measured. When the wavelength range becomes wide, the cut filter is appropriately switched to be on the optical path. It is necessary to arrange in. However, such switching of the cut filter is troublesome, and is a factor that takes time for measurement. In particular, in a spectroscope that performs spectroscopic measurement of light in the near-infrared region, it is necessary to increase the scanning speed as will be described later, but switching the filter is a serious problem. That is, even if the scanning of the diffraction grating (change in attitude) can be speeded up, the switching of the filter cannot follow this, which is a major obstacle to the speeding up. Also, the data becomes discontinuous when the filter is switched. This is also a big problem.
The present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and when performing a spectroscopic measurement from which higher-order diffracted light is removed, it takes less time, can cope with higher scanning speed, and has data discontinuity. It has the meaning of preventing it from occurring.

As described below, according to the first aspect of the present invention, an interference filter is used as a cut filter, and the cutoff wavelength is changed by changing the arrangement angle of the interference filter. In addition, it can cope with high-speed scanning sufficiently, and there is no fear of discontinuity of measurement data. Furthermore, since only one cut filter needs to be provided, the cost can be reduced by that amount compared to the conventional one.
According to the second aspect of the invention, in addition to the above effect, the cut filter arrangement angle is changed by mechanically connecting the rotary shaft of the cut filter to the rotary shaft of the diffraction grating and interlockingly rotating the cut filter. Therefore, the measurement conditions become more uniform, and it is not necessary to stop the diffraction grating halfway. For this reason, the reliability of the measurement data is further improved, and the measurement time can be shortened by high-speed scanning, which can be sufficiently handled.
Further, according to the invention described in

A major feature of the spectrometer of the present embodiment is that an interference filter is used as the
The interference filter selectively blocks or transmits light using light interference inside the filter. In many cases, the interference filter has a multilayer film structure in which optical films are stacked, and uses interference of light reflected at the interface of the film.
Various types of interference filters are manufactured and sold according to the required filter characteristics. The inventor of the present application paid attention to the fact that an interference filter can be used as a cut filter of a spectroscope, and the interference filter often changes in spectral characteristics when the arrangement angle with respect to incident light changes. This point will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram showing the spectral characteristics of the interference filter used as the
FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the results of an experiment in which the spectral transmission characteristics of the interference filter used as the
In this experiment, an interference filter manufactured by Nippon Vacuum Optics Co., Ltd. was used. This interference filter has a catalog value of 1280 nm as the cutoff wavelength. Even if it sees an experimental result, in the angle of 0 degree | times, the transmittance | permeability falls rapidly from around 1310 nm, and the transmittance | permeability becomes zero at 1280 nm vicinity. The reason why the interference filter whose cutoff wavelength is set in such a wavelength range is used is that it is intended to perform near-infrared spectral measurement.
Then, as shown in FIG. 2, when the arrangement angle θ is changed, the spectral transmission characteristics change. In this example, it can be seen that as the angle θ is gradually increased, the cutoff wavelength gradually shifts to the short wavelength side. For example, when a wavelength at which the transmittance is about 5% or less is called a measurement cutoff wavelength, in the experimental results shown in FIG. 2, the measurement cutoff wavelength is about 1280 nm at an angle of 10 degrees, about 1260 nm at an angle of 20 degrees, and 1220 nm at an angle of 30 degrees. The angle was about 1170 nm at an angle of 40 degrees and about 1115 nm at an angle of 50 degrees.
As shown in the experimental results, the cutoff wavelength can be changed by changing the arrangement angle of the interference filter that can be used as the
The
How the
As described above, since the high-order diffracted light is light having a wavelength that is a fraction of an integer of the wavelength of normal diffracted light, λ / 2, λ / 3, and λ / 4, where λ is normal wavelength light. , ... are high-order diffracted light. In order to perform measurement with high-order diffracted light removed, in principle, when the
A) Blocking λ / 2 or less.
B) Do not block λ.
Of these, the condition of B is synonymous with transmitting light having a wavelength longer than λ and λ when considered as a cut filter. Therefore, the condition of A and B is that the “cutoff wavelength (λc) is λ Shorter than λ / 2 ”(λ / 2 ≦ λc <λ). However, as shown in FIG. 2, the characteristic of the cut filter is not that the transmittance is attenuated perpendicularly at the cut-off wavelength to zero, so that the wavelength region between λ / 2 and the measurement wavelength λ Thus, it is understood that a wavelength that is somewhat away from λ or λ / 2 is preferably used as the cutoff wavelength.
After understanding the necessary characteristics of the
There are several different configurations for the
Such a configuration may be used, but it is necessary to devise in consideration of the uniformity of measurement conditions and the demand for shortening the measurement time. This is because, in the configuration in which the arrangement angle of the
Further, since the scanning of the
In the measurement method that stops the scanning of the diffraction grating halfway, it is contrary to the shortening of the measurement time as described above, and it is in terms of accuracy and reproducibility to stop the diffraction grating once within a very short time as described above. difficult.
In the present embodiment, in consideration of such points, the
As can be understood from FIG. 1, when the

When performing spectroscopic measurement in the near-infrared region of 1200 nm to 2500 nm, when measuring the shortest wavelength of 1200 nm, the
In this setting example, when the measurement is performed from the long wavelength side, when the longest wavelength is 2500 nm (the angle of the
Then, when scanning of the
Further, the scanning (rotation) of the
As can be seen from the above description, in this setting example, in the spectroscopic measurement from 2500 nm to 1200 nm, the
According to such a configuration, the
In addition, the spectroscope is provided with a control unit (not shown in FIG. 1) for controlling each unit, a display unit for displaying measurement results, an input unit for inputting measurement conditions and the like (all not shown). The display unit and the input unit are attached to the
Next, the operation of the entire spectrometer will be described.
When measurement conditions such as a measurement wavelength range are input to the input unit, and measurement is started after the light to be measured enters the entrance slit 51, the control unit scans in the input measurement wavelength range. A control signal is sent to the
During the measurement, as described above, the
As can be seen from the above description, according to the scanning diffraction grating spectrometer of the present embodiment, an interference filter is used as the
In addition, since the cutoff wavelength is changed by continuously changing the arrangement angle of one
Further, as described above, in this embodiment, the arrangement angle of the

Next, the configuration of a scanning diffraction grating spectrometer according to another embodiment will be described. FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of a scanning diffraction grating spectrometer according to another embodiment.
The spectroscope shown in FIG. 4 is different from the
More specifically, as shown in FIG. 4, the spectroscope of this embodiment includes a control unit 8 (not shown in FIG. 1) that controls the whole. The
The control of the
The
As will be understood from the above description, the control data includes information on the initial value (angle at the start of rotation), the final value (arrangement angle at the end of rotation), the rotation speed, and the direction of rotation of the
The control unit controls the
Note that the angle determination means in the
Also in the spectroscope of this embodiment, the cut-off wavelength is changed by changing the arrangement angle of the
In this embodiment, the
In this embodiment, the
In each of the above embodiments, the change of the arrangement angle of the
When the angle is changed stepwise, the measurement wavelength range is divided into several parts, and an appropriate arrangement angle of the
In each of the above embodiments, the
The
