Claims (5)
- 電解質膜の両面に電極層を設けた膜−電極複合体を有する発電体と、この発電体の厚さ方向一側に配置される第一のセパレータ及び前記発電体の厚さ方向他側に配置される第二のセパレータとを備える燃料電池セルが複数積層された燃料電池において、一の燃料電池セルにおける前記第一のセパレータに、前記一の燃料電池セルにおける前記発電体の外周部に密接される第一のシール突条と、この第一のシール突条より外周側にあって前記一の燃料電池セルにおける前記第二のセパレータに密接される第二のシール突条と、これら第一及び第二のシール突条と並んで***し、前記一の燃料電池セルにおける前記第一のセパレータと前記第二のセパレータの端部間に介在される短絡防止リブが電気絶縁性のゴム状弾性材料で一体成形され、前記第一のセパレータにおける前記第一及び第二のシール突条の***方向と反対側を向いた面に、前記一の燃料電池セルと隣接する他の燃料電池セルにおける前記第二のセパレータに密接される第三のシール突条が電気絶縁性のゴム状弾性材料で一体成形されたことを特徴とする燃料電池の密封構造。
- 第一のシール突条、第二のシール突条及び短絡防止リブと第三のシール突条が、第一のセパレータに開設された連通孔を介して互いに連続していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池の密封構造。
- 第一のセパレータに、第一のシール突条、第二のシール突条及び短絡防止リブが一体化されると共に前記第一のシール突条、第二のシール突条及び短絡防止リブの***方向と反対側へ後退した第一の保持部と、第三のシール突条が一体化されると共にこの第三のシール突条の***方向と反対側へ後退した第二の保持部が、段差部を介して互いに厚さ方向反対側へ屈曲形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池の密封構造。
- 第三のシール突条が第一のシール突条と第二のシール突条の間に位置して設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池の密封構造。
- 短絡防止リブが第二の保持部を第三のシール突条と反対側から覆うように設けられたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の燃料電池の密封構造。
