Description
The present invention relates to a twist drill, and more particularly to a twist drill having a structure that can easily regenerate cutting teeth.
Twist drills can often break and become unusable. Such a twist drill can be regenerated by polishing, but requires time and skill or a dedicated machine. For this reason, in many cases, twist drills with broken tip portions are currently disposed of.
However, broken twist drills often leave the chip discharge groove part as it is, and if this part can be used to easily regenerate the tip part, it will contribute to lower costs and reduce waste of resources. It is thought that you can.
In view of such a problem, an object of the present invention is to provide a structure that can be easily regenerated when a tip portion cannot be used in a twist drill.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention has the following configuration.
The invention according to claim 1 is a plurality of parts having at least an outer surface shape in common with each portion obtained by dividing the twist drill at one or more locations in the longitudinal direction of the twist doris in the range in which the chip discharge groove is formed. The tip shape of the twist drill is formed on the tip surface of each part, and a recess into which the tip shape enters is formed on the base end surface, and the chip discharge grooves on the outer surface are continuous in each part. These twist drills are joined to each other and fixed to each other so as to be separable with a certain force or more.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the twist drill, the parts are fixed to each other by welding at a joint edge. Note that welding includes brazing.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the twist drill, the plurality of parts include at least respective parts obtained by dividing the twist drill into two or more locations in the longitudinal direction of the twist drill within a range where the chip discharge groove is formed. The outer surface shape is made common, and parts other than the rearmost part connected to the shank portion have the same shape.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, when the cutting edge at the tip of the twist drill cannot be used, the part portion including the cutting edge at the tip is separated by applying a force of the predetermined level or more. The tip of the part that was joined to the part will be exposed. Since the tip shape of the twist drill is formed at the tip portion of the part, it can be used again as a twist drill in this state. In this way, it is possible to regenerate the twist drill whose cutting edge can no longer be used by separating the parts on the front end side, and thus it can be used for a long time with relatively little effort without discarding the twist drill that has been damaged or the like. be able to.
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the parts can be easily and relatively firmly fixed to each other by the method of fixing the joint edges of the parts to each other by welding.
The invention according to claim 3 can reduce the cost in the manufacturing process by making the parts other than the last part connected to the shank part into the same shape.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1A shows a perspective view of a twist drill X according to the present embodiment. The twist drill X is a general twist drill in which a chip discharge groove X1 having a double groove is formed in the state of FIG. 1A. Have the same shape. An exploded perspective view of the twist drill X is shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 1B, the twist drill X is composed of a plurality of

A method of using the twist drill X having the above configuration will be described. The usage method at the time of processing is the same as that of a normal twist drill. And, when the tip is not usable due to chipping during use, the base end side is sandwiched with a vise so that the boundary between the most
