Description
The present invention relates to a topcoat composition for polysulfide-based sealants.
As a polysulfide-based sealing material composition containing a thiol group-containing polysulfide polymer and a compound having two or more isocyanate groups in one molecule (hereinafter referred to as “polyisocyanate compound”), two in one molecule A curable composition containing the above polymer having a thiol group and a polyisocyanate compound is known (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).
This composition has better dynamic durability than conventional polysulfide-based sealants by oxidizer curing, and is non-staining that does not contaminate the surface of the cured product outdoors like conventional products. Since it is excellent, it can be used in many applications as a sealing material, an adhesive, and a coating material for construction, civil engineering, automobiles, and aircrafts.

(Examples 1-2, Comparative Examples 1 and 2)
Each component mentioned above was mix | blended by the component ratio (mass part) shown in the following Table 1, and each composition was prepared. In addition, the comparative example 1 is an example which does not apply | coat a topcoat composition.
Next, a polysulfide-based sealant (SC-M500, manufactured by Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd.) was applied to the joint, and each composition obtained was applied to the sealant surface after 6 hours of application to form a top coat.
About the laminated body in which the topcoat was formed, surface tack and adhesiveness were evaluated by the method shown below. The results are shown in Table 1 below.
<Surface tack>
Each composition obtained was applied, and the presence or absence of surface tack on the topcoat after 30 minutes was examined with a finger. In Comparative Example 1 in which the topcoat composition was not applied, the presence or absence of surface tack after 6 hours and 30 minutes after the application of the polysulfide sealant was examined.
<接着性>
<Adhesiveness>
Evaluation of the adhesion between the polysulfide sealant and the top coat was performed by a cross-cut tape peeling test.
Specifically, 25 bases (5 × 5) of 0.01 mm are made on the obtained laminate, and a cellophane adhesive tape (width 18 mm) is completely attached on the base, and one end of the tape is immediately attached. It was kept at a right angle to the metal deposition film, pulled away instantaneously, and the number of bases left without being completely peeled was examined. It is most preferable that the number of bases that remain without being completely peeled is 25, that is, those that are not peeled off at all.
As is apparent from the results shown in Table 1, it was found that the topcoat compositions (Examples 1 and 2) containing the binder component and the polyisocyanate compound can suppress the surface tack of the polysulfide-based sealant for 6 hours. . Moreover, it turned out that the adhesiveness of a sealant and a topcoat becomes favorable compared with the case where the topcoat composition (Comparative Example 2) which contains a binder component and does not contain a polyisocyanate compound is used.
