Description
本出願は、2009年12月31日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/335,155号明細書の利益を主張する。上記出願の教示は全体が参照により本明細書に援用される。
以上で識別された全ての参考文献の教示は、その全体が参照により本明細書に援用される。
本発明はその例示的実施形態を基準にして詳細に示され記述されてきたが、当業者であれば添付のクレームにより包含されている本発明の範囲から逸脱することなく形態および詳細にさまざまな変更を加えてよいということを理解するものである。
Claims (15)
- 固体酸化物セラミックにおいて、
a)イットリア安定化ジルコニア(YSZ)、チタン酸ランタンストロンチウム(LST)、マンガン酸ランタンストロンチウム(LSM)および酸化ニッケル−YSZ複合材料からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの材料を含む、1つの表面を画定する基板と;
b)前記表面の少なくとも一部分をコーティングし、サンボルナイト(BaO・2SiO2)結晶相、ヘキサセルシアン(BaO・Al2O3・2SiO2)結晶相および残留ガラス相を含むガラス組成物を含み、前記表面において前記基板の熱膨張係数以下の熱膨張係数を有し、ホウ素を含まないシールと;
を含む固体酸化物セラミックであって、
前記ガラス組成物が、200nm〜50μmの範囲内の平均粒径(d50)を有する結晶を含む固体酸化物セラミック。 - 前記ガラス組成物のガラス結晶化温度とガラス転移温度の差が、20℃/分の加熱速度で200℃〜400℃の範囲内である、請求項1に記載の固体酸化物セラミック。
- SiO2:BaOの前記ガラス組成物中のモル比が1:1〜4:1である、請求項1に記載の固体酸化物セラミック。
- 前記ガラス組成物中に存在するAl2O3の前記量が3.5モル%〜12モル%の範囲内であり、SiO2:BaOの前記ガラス組成物中のモル比が1:1〜4:1の範囲内である、請求項1に記載の固体酸化物セラミック。
- 前記シールが、室温で1μm〜500μmの範囲内の厚みを有する、請求項1に記載の固体酸化物セラミック。
- 固体酸化物セラミックの表面の少なくとも一部分を封止する方法において、
a)加熱時点でサンボルナイト(BaO・2SiO2)結晶相、ヘキサセルシアン(BaO・Al2O3・2SiO2)結晶相および残留ガラス相を形成するホウ素を含まないガラス組成物を形成するステップと;
b)前記ガラス組成物を微粉砕して、500nm〜100μmの範囲内の平均粒径(d50)を有するガラス粉末を生成するステップと;
c)前記ガラス粉末を結合剤および液体と混合してスラリーを形成するステップと;
d)前記固体酸化物セラミックの表面の少なくとも一部分を前記スラリーでコーティングするステップであって、前記表面が基板により画定され、前記基板が、イットリア安定化ジルコニア(YSZ)、チタン酸ランタンストロンチウム(LST)、マンガン酸ランタンストロンチウム(LSM)および酸化ニッケル−YSZ複合材料からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの材料を含む、ステップと;
e)前記コーティングされた固体酸化物セラミック部分のコーティングを焼結させるステップと;
f)前記固体酸化物セラミック部分の前記コーティングを加熱して、200nm〜50μmの範囲内の平均粒径(d50)を有する結晶からなるシールを形成し、こうして前記封止された固体酸化物セラミック部分を形成するステップであって、前記シールが前記表面における前記基板の熱膨張係数以下の熱膨張係数を有し、ホウ素を含まないステップと;
を含む方法。 - 前記ガラス組成物のガラス結晶化温度とガラス転移温度の差が、20℃/分の加熱速度で200℃〜400℃の範囲内である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングされた固体酸化物セラミック部分を焼結させるステップが、3MPa未満の圧力で実施される、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記固体酸化物セラミック部分の前記コーティングを加熱して結晶からなる前記シールを形成するステップが、3MPa未満の圧力で実施される、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記シールが、室温で1μm〜500μmの範囲内の厚みを有する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 300℃〜500℃の範囲内の温度まで1時間〜24時間の範囲内の時間、前記コーティングされた固体酸化物セラミック部分を加熱することにより、前記コーティングされた固体酸化物セラミック部分を焼結させる前に前記結合剤を除去するステップをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス組成物中のSiO2:BaOの前記モル比が1:1〜4:1である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス組成物中に存在するAl2O3の前記量が3.5モル%〜12モル%の範囲内であり、前記ガラス組成物中のSiO2:BaOの前記モル比が1:1〜4:1の範囲内である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングされた固体酸化物セラミック部分が、半時間〜8時間の範囲内の時間、750℃〜950℃の範囲内の温度で焼結される、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記固体酸化物セラミック部分の前記コーティングを加熱して結晶からなる前記シールを形成するステップが、半時間〜8時間の範囲内の時間、850℃〜1100℃の範囲内の温度で実施される、請求項6に記載の方法。
