Claims (10)
- 回路遮断器(30)によりアークフラッシュを検出する方法であって、
前記回路遮断器(30)内の光の存在を検出するステップ(104)と、
前記回路遮断器(30)の接点アーム(36)の位置を示す回路遮断器パラメータを検出するステップ(108)と、
前記接点アームが開放中であることが検出された場合に、固定期間に渡ってアークフラッシュ検出器の応答を遅延させるステップ(114)と、
前記光が依然として検出される場合、前記固定期間後、前記回路遮断器をトリッピングさせるステップ(110)と、を備え、
前記回路遮断器パラメータを検出するステップ(108)は、前記回路遮断器の入力側と出口側との間の電位を測定するステップを含む、
方法。 - 回路遮断器パラメータセンサ(50)が前記回路遮断器が開放中であることを示す信号を提供するステップを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 更に、測定電圧の導関数(70)を求めるステップを備える、請求項2記載の方法。

筐体(31)と、
前記筐体(31)の一端に位置する入口端子(52)と、
前記筐体(31)の一端に位置し、前記入口端子(52)に電気的に結合された出口端子(54)と、
前記筐体(31)内に位置し、前記入口端子(52)と前記出口端子(54)との間に電気的に結合された可動接点アーム(36)と、
前記筐体(31)内の光の存在を検出するように位置決めされた光センサ(48)と、
回路遮断器の動作を示す回路遮断器パラメータを測定するように結合されたパラメータセンサ(50)と、
前記光センサ(48)と前記パラメータセンサ(50)との間に電気的に結合されると共に、前記光センサ(48)及び前記パラメータセンサ(50)からの信号に応答して、前記回路遮断器(30)の遅延トリッピングを行うコントローラと、
を備え、
前記パラメータセンサ(50)は、前記入口端子(52)と前記出口端子(54)との間に適切に動作可能に結合された変圧器(78)である、
回路遮断器(30)。 - 異常動作状態の際に前記接点アーム(36)を開放するトリップバー組立体(42)を備え、
前記パラメータセンサ(50)は、トリップバー組立体(42)の移動を検出するスイッチである、請求項6記載の回路遮断器(30)。 - 前記パラメータセンサ(50)は、回路遮断器開放デバイス(38)からの信号に応答する、請求項6又は7に記載の回路遮断器。
- 前記回路遮断器開放デバイスは、過電流継電器(56)である、請求項8記載の回路遮断器(30)。
- 前記回路遮断器開放デバイスは、手動回路遮断器開放スイッチ(40)である、請求項8記載の回路遮断器(30)。
