Description
Claims (4)
- チューブ形態からなる第1変形部と、
前記第1変形部の端部の延長線上に配置され、チューブ形態からなる第2変形部と、
前記第1変形部の1次塑性変形を誘導するように、前記第2変形部の端部に結合されて前記第1変形部と第2変形部との間に配置される拡管誘導部と、
を含んで構成され、
衝突エネルギーを順に吸収するように、前記第1変形部は、前記第2変形部より短く形成され、衝突時前記第1変形部は拡管により1次塑性変形され、前記第2変形部は前記第1変形部より長い一部領域が圧砕により2次塑性変形され、また前記第1及び第2変形部がともに圧砕により3次塑性変形されるように構成されることを特徴とする複数の衝突エネルギー吸収段階を有する車両の衝突エネルギー吸収装置。 - 前記第1変形部は、衝突時前記拡管誘導部により拡管されて塑性変形されるように前記拡管誘導部と接する部分に予備拡管部が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の複数の衝突エネルギー吸収段階を有する車両の衝突エネルギー吸収装置。
- 前記第1変形部は、第2変形部より弱い許容応力強度を有するように強度の弱い鋼種からなるか、それとも薄い厚さからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の複数の衝突エネルギー吸収段階を有する車両の衝突エネルギー吸収装置。
- 前記拡管誘導部は、衝突時に第1変形部が容易に拡管されるように第1変形部が移動する方向に傾斜面が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の複数の衝突エネルギー吸収段階を有する車両の衝突エネルギー吸収装置。
