Description
The present invention relates to a seismic isolation device positioned between an upper structure and a lower structure of a bridge.
In general, the design index of a road bridge is defined by the “Road Bridge Specification (hereinafter simply referred to as“ Specification ”)”, and the design index related to the seismic design of a road bridge that can endure even in the event of an earthquake is It is described in “Aseismic Design”. A road bridge designed based on the design index described in “Earthquake Design” of this specification will be within the scope of limited damage if an earthquake as envisaged in that book occurs.
The Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011 last year was a large-scale strong earthquake that exceeded the seismic intensity (Meteorological Agency seismic intensity class) and the scale generally assumed so far. And many buildings such as road bridges. In addition, a large-scale tsunami occurred around the Pacific coast of Tohoku. As a result, the entire region of East Japan from the Tohoku region to the Kanto region was severely damaged by the earthquake and tsunami (Great East Japan Earthquake).
In the specification, type I ground motion and type II ground motion are defined as level 2 ground motion. Type I seismic ground motion assumes a large oceanic earthquake that occurs at a plate boundary with a low frequency of occurrence. The Tohoku Earthquake is equivalent to this.
The specification stipulates that, for Type I earthquakes, for example, reinforced concrete piers are limited to a degree of damage that causes horizontal cracks of a certain width, and are sufficiently safe against the ultimate state of the structure. It is prescribed to ensure.
Now, this specification was revised in March 2012, the following year (this year), following the occurrence of the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake. According to the revised specifications, for example, the design seismic intensity for Type I ground motion (ie, ground motion due to the same type of earthquake as the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake) among Level 2 ground motions has greatly increased.
Specifically, for example, in the revised manual, the design seismic intensity of a bridge with a natural period of 1 second on Class I ground (such as rock) was revised to about 1.0. On the other hand, in the specifications before revision, the design seismic intensity of the bridge with a natural period of 1 second is 0.7. In this way, in the revised specifications, the design seismic intensity in the seismic standards is significantly greater than before the revision.
With the revision of the specifications, the design seismic intensity (design conditions) when designing a new bridge has increased significantly, and it is necessary to design and construct a bridge with high seismic performance accordingly. Is expected to increase significantly.
On the other hand, for bridges that meet the seismic standards of the old specifications, and for bridges that have undergone seismic reinforcement based on the old specifications, the strength (strength) Therefore, if an earthquake of the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake occurs in the future, those bridges may be seriously damaged.
For such bridges with insufficient strength, it is possible to ensure the required strength by applying seismic reinforcement work corresponding to the design seismic intensity in the revised specifications. As one of the seismic reinforcement works, for example, there is a work of installing a seismic isolation device between an upper structure (for example, a bridge girder) of a bridge (bridge) and a lower structure (for example, an abutment or a pier).
As the seismic isolation device, for example, a shear panel type stopper using a low yield point steel having a large damping constant has been put to practical use as a displacement restraint device as disclosed in
Such a conventional device utilizes the fact that the hysteresis energy when the low yield point steel undergoes plastic deformation is large and has a large damping constant, and can reduce shaking (response displacement) even with large earthquake motions. Damages such as bridge breakage can be avoided.
Such seismic isolation devices can be used not only for seismic reinforcement work but also for newly designed and constructed bridges.
By the way, the permissible value of the bridge displacement (residual displacement) after the inertial force due to the earthquake is removed is generally within 1/100 of the height of the pier in the specification.
However, when the above-described conventional device is used as a seismic isolation device, the shear panel is subjected to shear buckling when shear deformation is large, so that residual displacement increases. Therefore, since the shear deformation is limited in the design of the shear panel, the energy absorbing ability of the low yield point steel cannot be sufficiently exhibited.
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, so that the residual displacement of the bridge pier and the like due to the residual deformation of the seismic isolation device using the low yield point steel is within a predetermined allowable value, and the low yield The object is to provide a seismic isolation device that can fully exhibit the energy absorption capability of spot steel.
This invention is a seismic isolation device installed so as to connect between an upper structure and a lower structure of a bridge,
A plastic deformation member made of low yield point steel whose deformation direction is parallel to the bridge axis direction;
Wherein provided in the deformation direction of the plastic deformation member Niso in series, and a damper device having a piston,
The damper device has an initial state at a center position of a stroke possible range of the piston ,
The bridge axial force acting on the upper structure causes a compressive force to act on the plastic deformation member when the piston reaches one stroke end, and a tensile force acts on the other stroke end. It is what.
As described above, according to the present invention, the damper device capable of canceling the residual deformation of the low yield point steel is provided in series with the low yield point steel in the deformation direction of the low yield point steel. The bridge pier can return to the pre-earthquake position without being hindered by the residual deformation of the low yield point steel, which satisfies the specifications for residual displacement in the specifications. Therefore, the energy absorption capability of the low yield point steel can be sufficiently exhibited, and the vibration caused by a large seismic force such as level 2 earthquake motion can be sufficiently reduced. Details of the effect will be described later.

Here, since the low yield
With the above configuration, the operation of the
First, the initial state of the
Next, when a
Next, a case where a large earthquake motion such as a level 2 earthquake motion acts on this bridge will be described.
First, among the ground motions acting on this bridge, the inertia force of the ground motion (resonance vibration) that coincides with the natural period of this bridge with the largest swing (amplitude) causes the state shown in FIG. ), When the
Here, the shocking inertial force generated immediately after the occurrence of the earthquake motion is buffered (the function of the oil damper device 11) and the low yield point steel because the
Then, the
Here, it is assumed that the low yield point steel LY1 is displaced (compressed) by a displacement amount LA in the direction of the bridge axis when the
And when the earthquake ends and the inertial force of the ground motion that acts on the bridge is removed, the bridge behaves elastically, so it tries to return to the state before the ground motion was applied. At this time, as shown in FIG. 7, the low yield point steel LY1 of the low yield
Next, from the state of FIG. 8 (a), from the state of FIG. 8 (a), due to the inertial force of the ground motion (resonant vibration) that coincides with the natural period of this bridge where the vibration (amplitude) is the largest among the ground motions acting on this bridge. As shown in b), when the
Here, since the shock inertia force generated immediately after the occurrence of the earthquake motion is buffered by the
Then, the
Here, it is assumed that the low yield point steel LY1 is displaced (elongated) by a displacement amount LB in the bridge axis direction when the
And when the earthquake ends and the inertial force of the ground motion that acts on the bridge is removed, the bridge behaves elastically, so it tries to return to the state before the ground motion was applied. At this time, as shown in FIG. 10, the low yield point steel LY1 of the low yield
Thus, the dimensions of the

hB=0.557
h B : Equivalent damping constant of low yield point steel W: Elastic energy of low yield point steel, sum of areas of two triangles (kN · m) indicated by broken lines in FIG.
ΔW: the total energy absorbed by the low yield point steel, and the area (kN · m) of the hysteresis curve HL representing the relationship between the horizontal displacement and the horizontal load shown in FIG.
Here, from FIG.
(ΔW / W) ≒ 3.5
Therefore, from the formula (I),
h B = 0.557
Therefore, by using the
By the way, the ratio of the absolute acceleration response of the structure to the maximum acceleration of the ground motion is called the acceleration response spectrum magnification, and there is a relationship that if the acceleration response spectrum magnification is smaller, the vibration amplitude of the bridge due to the earthquake motion is also smaller. As the damping constant (equivalent damping constant h B ) increases, the acceleration response spectrum magnification decreases, and the amplitude of the structure due to earthquake motion decreases.
Therefore, the effect of reducing the amplitude of ground motion by the

As a result, when an earthquake occurs, the bridge can be used appropriately and the availability of the bridge can be increased even after the earthquake motion begins to converge and after the earthquake motion converges.

By the way, in each Example mentioned above, although the
In addition, in the specification, it is said that the seismic isolation support is not used for Takahashi pier bridges because the effect cannot be expected, but the seismic isolation device according to the present invention has a great seismic isolation effect. This can also be applied to high piers. In each of the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1, 13, 1c and 16, the seismic isolation device according to the present invention is applied to a high pier bridge. In addition, naturally the seismic isolation apparatus concerning this invention is applicable also to bridges other than a high pier bridge.
As described above, when the seismic isolation device according to the present invention (hereinafter referred to as “the present device”) is applied to a bridge (bridge), there are the following merits.
(1) In the road bridge specifications, for level 2 earthquake motion, the energy of the earthquake motion is absorbed by allowing plasticity of the pier. Therefore, damage due to plasticization of the pier is inevitable. Therefore, when this apparatus is used, since the energy absorption of the earthquake motion is performed by this apparatus, the plasticized region of the pier can be eliminated and the elastic state can be maintained. Alternatively, the plasticizing region can be made extremely small.
(2) When this device is used, the allowable plasticity rate specified in the road bridge specifications can be afforded, so it has a proof strength even for unexpected earthquake motions larger than assumed in the specifications.
In addition, when the allowable plastic modulus is used up to an allowable value using this apparatus, the bridge pier cross section can be reduced, so that an economical bridge design can be performed.
(3) Conventionally, since this type of damping device has a large residual deformation, the residual displacement of the structure after the end of the earthquake motion is large, which causes a problem in the functionality of the structure and has not been applied. For example, in the road bridge specifications, the residual displacement is generally within 1/100 of the pier height. In this apparatus, by using an elastic damper (oil damper apparatus) in combination, the residual displacement can be made extremely small by utilizing the restoring force of the structure.
(4) Elastic dampers include oil dampers and viscous dampers, but they have problems with durability such as deterioration and need to be regularly maintained, so they have not been applied much. In this equipment, since the elastic damper is mainly used for absorbing shock immediately after the action of seismic motion and residual deformation of low yield point steel, deterioration of the elastic damper does not affect the damping characteristics of this equipment.
(5) When this device is used for seismic reinforcement of existing bridges, the inertia force due to seismic motion acting on the bridge can be reduced to less than half, so that reinforcement of the pier and foundation can be significantly reduced.
(6) After the occurrence of a Level 2 class earthquake, the bridge body is minor damaged and can be used immediately. If the residual deformation of the low yield point steel of this device is large at a later date, it is only necessary to replace it.
(7) An article in the morning edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun on July 19, 2012 reported that earthquake bridge reinforcement on road bridges was not sufficiently advanced on emergency transport roads. If this device is applied, this emergency transport road can be seismically reinforced to satisfy the new road bridge specifications.
The seismic isolation device according to the present invention can be applied to a structure other than a bridge as long as it can be provided between the foundation and the structure.
