Description
The present invention relates to a raindrop detection apparatus.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a raindrop detection device that can detect raindrops that adhere to the outer surface of a windshield of a vehicle and that can detect the humidity of the inner surface of the windshield is known. In the raindrop detection device, the light receiving element receives light emitted from a light emitting element provided inside the vehicle in the raindrop detection unit, and detects the presence or absence of raindrops on the outer surface of the windshield from the change in the amount of received light. On the other hand, the raindrop detection device detects the temperature inside the vehicle interior, the humidity inside the vehicle interior, and the temperature of the inner surface of the windshield in the humidity detection unit. The raindrop detection device calculates the humidity of the inner surface of the windshield based on these numerical values. The raindrop detection device accommodates a raindrop detection unit and a humidity detection unit in the same housing, and is attached to the inner surface of the windshield of the vehicle.
In the raindrop detector, the raindrop detector is attached at a position away from the windshield in order to secure an irradiation area. On the other hand, the humidity detector is attached in the vicinity of the windshield in order to detect the temperature in the vicinity of the windshield surface. In the raindrop detection apparatus described in Patent Document 1, the humidity detection unit is attached in the vicinity of the windshield with a flexible substrate.
However, in the raindrop detection apparatus described in Patent Document 1, the raindrop detection unit and the humidity detection unit are mounted on one flexible substrate. In the raindrop detection device described in Patent Document 1, since heat generated in the raindrop detection unit is transmitted to the humidity detection unit through the substrate, an error may occur in the temperature detected by the humidity detection unit. Therefore, it is impossible to detect the accurate temperature inside the windshield. Moreover, since the humidity detector is attached in the vicinity of the windshield by an expensive flexible substrate, the manufacturing cost of the raindrop detector increases.
An object of the present invention is to provide a raindrop detection device capable of detecting an accurate temperature inside the windshield.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the raindrop detection device can detect raindrops adhering to the outer surface of the vehicle windshield and can calculate the humidity of the inner surface of the windshield of the vehicle. The raindrop detection apparatus includes a light emitting element, a light receiving element, and detection means for detecting raindrops. The reference light emitted from the light emitting element is reflected by the windshield. The reflected reference light is received by the light receiving element. At this time, the light receiving element outputs a signal corresponding to the intensity of the received reference light to the detecting means. The detecting means detects raindrops adhering to the outer surface of the windshield based on the intensity of the received reference light. On the other hand, the raindrop detection device includes an inner surface temperature detection means, an in-vehicle temperature detection means, and an in-vehicle humidity detection means for humidity detection. The inner surface temperature detecting means detects the temperature of the inner surface of the windshield and outputs a signal corresponding to the detected temperature to the detecting means. The vehicle interior temperature detection means detects the temperature inside the vehicle interior near the inner surface temperature detection means, and outputs a signal corresponding to the detected temperature to the detection means. The vehicle interior humidity detection means detects the humidity inside the vehicle interior near the inner surface temperature detection means, and outputs a signal corresponding to the detected humidity to the detection means. The detection means calculates the humidity of the inner surface of the windshield based on the temperature of the inner surface of the windshield, the temperature of the vehicle interior near the inner surface temperature detection means, and the humidity of the vehicle interior near the inner surface temperature detection means. The raindrop detection board is equipped with a light emitting element, a light receiving element, and a detecting means. Further, the humidity detection board is equipped with an inner surface temperature detection means, a vehicle interior temperature detection means, and a vehicle interior humidity detection means. The terminal electrically connects the raindrop detection board and the humidity detection board. The housing supports the raindrop detection substrate and the humidity detection substrate. In the raindrop detection board, a first opening is formed in the vicinity of the raindrop detection side terminal on the raindrop detection board where the raindrop detection board and one end of the terminal are connected.
In the raindrop detection device, the detection means mounted on the raindrop detection board generates heat. The heat generated by the detection means is diffused into the raindrop detection device via a substrate on which the detection means is mounted, a housing that supports the substrate, a terminal that is electrically connected to the substrate, and the like. On the other hand, the inner surface temperature detection means detects the temperature of the windshield inner surface. At this time, in order to accurately detect the temperature of the inner surface of the windshield, it is desirable that heat from other than the inner surface of the windshield is not transmitted to the inner surface temperature detecting means. According to a first aspect of the present invention, a raindrop detection apparatus includes a raindrop detection board on which detection means having a large calorific value is mounted, and a humidity detection board on which inner surface temperature detection means is mounted. That is, the detection means having a large amount of heat generation and the inner surface temperature detection means having a great influence by heat transfer from the outside are mounted on different substrates. Thereby, the heat transfer amount to the inner surface temperature detection means of the heat generated by the detection means can be reduced. Therefore, the inner surface temperature detecting means can accurately detect the temperature of the windshield inner surface.
Further, it is desirable that the raindrop detection substrate is provided at a position away from the windshield in order to secure an irradiation area of the light emitting element to the windshield. On the other hand, in order to accurately detect the temperature of the inner surface of the windshield, it is desirable that the humidity detection substrate is provided so that the inner surface temperature detecting means is in contact with the windshield. In the raindrop detection apparatus according to the first aspect, the raindrop detection substrate and the humidity detection substrate are provided separately, so that each substrate can be provided at an optimum position for detection. Moreover, a printed circuit board can be used with respect to the prior art using a flexible substrate. Thereby, the manufacturing cost of a raindrop detection apparatus can be reduced.
In the raindrop detection apparatus according to the first aspect, the raindrop detection substrate and the humidity detection substrate are supported by one housing. The raindrop detection board and the humidity detection board have different functions. When each function is changed or improved, the function can be changed or improved by replacing one of the substrates. Thereby, the raindrop detection apparatus can have a different function by replacing the substrate.
In the raindrop detection apparatus according to the first aspect, the first opening is formed in the vicinity of the raindrop detection side terminal on the raindrop detection substrate. The heat generated by the detection means on the raindrop detection board is transmitted to the humidity detection board via the terminal. In the raindrop detection apparatus according to the first aspect, the first opening is formed in the vicinity of the raindrop detection side terminal where the raindrop detection substrate and the terminal are connected. This reduces the heat transfer area from the raindrop detection substrate to the raindrop detection side terminal. Therefore, the amount of heat transfer from the raindrop detection substrate to the humidity detection substrate can be reduced.
According to the invention described in
In the raindrop detection apparatus, the heat generated by the detection means on the raindrop detection board is transmitted to the humidity detection board mainly through the terminal. In the raindrop detection device according to the second aspect, the heat transfer path is lengthened by increasing the length of the terminal, and the amount of heat transfer from the raindrop detection substrate to the humidity detection substrate can be reduced. Therefore, the inner surface temperature detecting means can accurately detect the temperature of the windshield inner surface.
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the terminal is formed from white. Nickel brass, which is nickel brass, has a thermal conductivity of 33 W / (m · K) and is less likely to transfer heat than conventionally used brass. Therefore, the amount of heat transferred from the detection means on the raindrop detection board to the inner surface temperature detection means on the humidity detection board can be reduced by making the terminal white.
According to the invention described in claim 4 , the first opening is formed between the raindrop detection side terminal and the detection means . The first opening is formed between the raindrop detection side terminal and the detection means that generates a large amount of heat. Since the heat transfer path from the detection means to the raindrop detection side terminal bypasses the first opening, the heat transfer path becomes a curve. Thereby, the heat transfer path from the detection means to the raindrop detection side terminal becomes long, and the heat generated by the detection means becomes difficult to be transmitted to the raindrop detection side terminal. Therefore, the amount of heat transfer from the raindrop detection substrate to the humidity detection substrate can be reduced.
According to the invention described in claim 5 , the humidity detection board has the second opening formed in the vicinity of the humidity detection side terminal on the humidity detection board where the humidity detection board and the other end of the terminal are connected.
According to the invention described in claim 6 , the second opening is formed between the humidity detection side terminal and the inner surface temperature detection means.
A second opening is formed in the vicinity of the humidity detection side terminal on the humidity detection substrate. Heat generated on the raindrop detection substrate is transmitted to the humidity detection substrate mainly through the terminal. In the raindrop detection apparatus according to the fifth aspect , the second opening is formed in the vicinity of the humidity detection side terminal where the humidity detection substrate and the terminal are connected. Thereby, the amount of heat transfer from the humidity detection side terminal to the raindrop detection substrate can be reduced.
The second opening is formed between the humidity detection side terminal and the inner surface temperature detection means. Since the heat transfer path from the humidity detection side terminal to the inner surface temperature detecting means bypasses the second opening, the heat transfer path becomes a curve. As a result, the heat transfer path from the humidity detection side terminal to the inner surface temperature detecting means becomes longer, and the heat generated by the detecting means is hardly transmitted to the inner surface temperature detecting means. Therefore, the amount of heat transfer from the raindrop detection substrate to the humidity detection substrate can be reduced.
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, the housing forms a land portion that supports the humidity detection substrate.
According to the invention described in
The humidity detection substrate is supported by a land portion formed in the housing. Since the land portion protrudes from the wall forming the housing, when the humidity detection substrate is mounted on the land portion, the humidity detection substrate forms a gap with the wall of the housing. The heat generated on the raindrop detection board is mainly transmitted to the humidity detection board via the terminal, but part of the heat is transferred to the humidity detection board via the wall of the housing. Since the humidity detection board supported by the land portion forms a gap with the wall of the housing, heat is not transferred from the wall of the housing to the humidity detection board. Further, since the humidity detection substrate contacts only with the land portion, the contact area with the housing is reduced, and the amount of heat transfer from the housing can be reduced. Therefore, the inner surface temperature detecting means mounted on the humidity detection substrate can accurately detect the temperature of the windshield inner surface.

Next, the raindrop detection unit 20 will be described.
The raindrop detection unit 20 includes a
The first
The
The light receiving element 25 is mounted on the
The
The

The
As shown in FIG. 4, the

(Function)
Next, the operation of the raindrop detection apparatus 1 will be described.
In the raindrop detection unit 20, the first
The light receiving element 25 receives infrared rays reflected from the
On the other hand, in the

(effect)
Next, the effect of the raindrop detection apparatus 1 of one embodiment will be described.
(A) In the raindrop detection apparatus 1 of the present embodiment, the
(B) The
(C) The terminal 50 is made of a white having a thermal conductivity of 33 W / (m · K). By using a Western night smaller than brass having a thermal conductivity of 120 W / (m · K) for the terminal 50, the heat generated in the
(D) The
Further, the
(E) The
(F) In the raindrop detection apparatus 1 of the present embodiment, the raindrop detection unit 20 and the
(G) Conventionally, the element of the raindrop detection unit and the element of the humidity detection unit are mounted on one flexible substrate. In the raindrop detection apparatus 1 of the present embodiment, the elements of the raindrop detection unit and the elements of the humidity detection unit are mounted on different printed boards. Thereby, a board | substrate can be provided in the optimal position for the detection in each detection part.
(H) Moreover, in the raindrop detection apparatus 1 of this embodiment, the printed circuit board is used instead of the conventional flexible substrate. Thereby, the manufacturing cost of the raindrop detection apparatus 1 can be reduced.
(Other embodiments)
(A) In the above embodiment, the thermal conductivity of the material forming the terminal is 33 W / (m · K). However, the thermal conductivity of the material forming the terminal may not be limited to this. The present applicant conducted an experiment on the relationship between the thermal conductivity of the material forming the terminal and the temperature rise at the windshield temperature element. As a result, it has been confirmed that when the thermal conductivity of the material forming the terminal is 120 W / (m · K) or less, the temperature rise at the windshield temperature element can be suppressed low. Therefore, the thermal conductivity of the material forming the terminal may be 120 W / (m · K) or less.
(A) In the above-described embodiment, the cross-sectional area in the direction in which the terminal current flows is 0.205 mm 2 . However, the cross-sectional area in the direction in which the terminal current flows may not be limited to this. The applicant of the present application conducted an experiment on the relationship between the cross-sectional area in the direction in which the terminal current flows and the temperature rise at the windshield temperature element. As a result, it has been confirmed that when the cross-sectional area in the direction in which the terminal current flows is 0.41 mm 2 or less, the temperature rise at the windshield temperature element can be suppressed to a low level. Therefore, the cross-sectional area in the direction in which the terminal current flows may be 0.41 mm 2 or less.
