Description
本発明は、2007年12月21日に出願された米国特許出願第11/963,441号(441号出願)に基づく優先権を主張する。441号出願は、その全文が本願に記載されるものとして、参照によりここに組み込まれる。
本発明は、医療用カテーテルアセンブリに関し、特に、撓み可能なカテーテルシャフトを曲げて遠位先端を所望の方向に動かすために、カテーテルシャフトの遠位端で遠位先端に隣接する撓みプルリングを使用する医療用カテーテルアセンブリに関する。
Claims (15)
- 遠位端および中空内部を画定する撓み可能なカテーテルシャフトと、
前記カテーテルシャフトの前記遠位端にあり、先端部および前記カテーテルシャフトの前記中空内部内に延出する装着シャフトを備える遠位先端と、
プルリングおよびそれに取り付けられた1又は複数のプルワイヤを備えるプルリングアセンブリであって、前記プルリングは前記装着シャフトのまわりに配置されるプルリングアセンブリと、
を備え、
前記遠位先端は、前記プルワイヤがまず前記プルリングから前記先端部へと延出し、ループして前記カテーテルシャフトへ向けて戻り、且つ、前記カテーテルシャフトの中を通るように、それぞれの前記プルワイヤを案内するガイドチャネルを提供し、
前記プルワイヤを引くことで前記プルリングをして前記カテーテルシャフトを曲げさせ、且つ、前記プルリングを前記先端部へ向けて移動させる
医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記装着シャフトは、外向きに延出する環状フランジを備えており、前記環状フランジは、前記ガイドチャネルを備えるとともに、自身の内部で軸方向に延伸する通路を有する
請求項1に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記装着シャフトは、前記先端部に接続された遠位部分と、前記カテーテルシャフト内に延出する近位部分とを備え、
前記外向きに延出する環状フランジは、前記遠位部分と一体であり、
前記近位部分は、前記カテーテルシャフトを把持するために表面突起部を備える
請求項2に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記表面突起部は、鉤状部を備える
請求項3に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記軸方向通路と並んで前記鉤状部に設けられ、前記ガイドチャネルを備える軸方向溝を有する
請求項4に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記装着シャフトの外側表面に対して前記カテーテルシャフトの遠位端部分を圧迫する圧迫リングを備える
請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記装着シャフトの外側表面は、前記ガイドチャネルを備える軸方向溝を有する
請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記圧迫リングは、略矩形断面を有する
請求項6又は7に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記圧迫リングは、前記装着シャフトに対向する、略平坦な内側表面と、略凸状の外側表面を有する
請求項6〜8のいずれか一項に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記先端部は外側環状押縁を画定し、
前記プルリングは、前記カテーテルシャフトと前記外側環状押縁との間に位置する
請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記遠位先端は、その直径方向で対向する位置に2つのガイドチャネルを備える
請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記プルリングアセンブリは、前記プルリング上の直径方向で対向する位置に取り付けられた2つのプルワイヤを備える
請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記プルワイヤは、その長さ方向の少なくとも一部が平らである
請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の医療用カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記プルワイヤは、前記プルリングの内側表面に接続される
