Description
The present invention relates to a projector.
2. Description of the Related Art Today, data projectors are widely used as image projection apparatuses that project a screen of a personal computer, a video image, an image based on image data stored in a memory card or the like onto a screen. This projector focuses light emitted from a light source on a micromirror display element called DMD (digital micromirror device) to display a color image on a screen.
This DMD reflects light incident from an incident direction inclined in one direction with respect to the front direction, by switching the direction of inclination of the plurality of micromirrors in the front direction, that is, the direction in which the projection-side optical system is located. The image is generated by dividing into on-light to be transmitted and off-light to be reflected in an oblique direction.
The surface of this DMD is generally protected by a cover glass or the like. Thus, in a projector having a DMD whose surface is protected by a cover glass or the like, a part of light irradiated to the display element is reflected on a flat surface such as a cover glass to become flat light, and a part of the flat light is There is a possibility that the quality of the image is deteriorated by being incident on the projection side optical system as stray light and being projected on the projection surface as it is. Conventionally, in order to prevent the quality of an image from being deteriorated by stray light in this way, it is common to provide a diaphragm on the projection side optical system (for example, Patent Document 1).
However, when stray light is cut using a stop in the projection-side optical system, stray light is slightly generated due to reflection at the light-shielding part of the stop, and when reflected by a single lens of the projection-side optical system, it is projected. Therefore, a part of the projected image may become unclear, and it is difficult to adjust the stray light completely while reducing the influence on the image.
The present invention has been made in view of such problems of the prior art, and stray light generated due to flat light reflected by a cover glass of a display element is generated before an image is generated by the display element.
The
The
The
The projection-
Such a
The stray light is reflected by a surface parallel to the
Therefore, in the
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the light guide
The
The
The
Then, by disposing the
According to the
Further, in the
In the
In other words, the
Further, since the flat light non-reflecting part is formed by the
Since the
Further, since the
7A and 7B, the
Further, as shown in FIG. 8B, a
Further, in the above-described embodiment, a proposal has been made to put a
Further, in an optical system other than the
In addition, this invention is not limited to the above Example, A change and improvement are freely possible in the range which does not deviate from the summary of invention.
