Description
The present invention relates to an X-ray tube and an X-ray CT apparatus, and more particularly to an X-ray tube capable of changing the optical path of an X-ray and an X-ray CT apparatus equipped with the X-ray tube.
X-ray CT (Computed Tomography) apparatuses are rapidly spreading as state-of-the-art medical equipment, and are playing an active role as diagnostic apparatuses that must be in the medical field. The X-ray CT apparatus is also commercialized as an industrial inspection apparatus. The principle of the X-ray CT apparatus utilizes the property that X-rays pass through the subject. The X-rays are emitted from various directions to the subject and transmitted through the subject with a detector disposed on the opposite side of the subject. Is detected, and a cross-sectional image is reconstructed based on the detection result.
A medical X-ray CT apparatus slides a patient, rotates an X-ray generator and a detector facing each other at high speed around the patient, projects a slice, and acquires X-ray projection data. Synthesize cross-sectional images. On the other hand, in an industrial X-ray CT apparatus, generally, an X-ray generation unit and a detector are fixed at positions sandwiching a subject, projection data is acquired while the subject is rotated, and a cross-sectional image is synthesized.
An X-ray tube is provided in the X-ray generation unit of the X-ray CT apparatus. An X-ray tube is provided with a coiled filament that emits thermoelectrons when energized, and an anode that emits X-rays when irradiated with electrons emitted from the filament. The filament and the anode are sealed in a vacuum vessel, and usually the optical path of X-rays is fixed.
On the other hand, in an X-ray CT apparatus, it is known that a high-resolution image with higher spatial resolution can be reconstructed by acquiring projection data while finely moving the X-ray irradiation position (for example, Patent Documents). 1). As a method for finely moving the X-ray irradiation position, there is a method for moving the position where the anode is irradiated with the electron beam.
However, when a coiled filament is used as the electron source, a large electron beam can be obtained. However, since the shape is coiled, it is difficult to control the trajectory of the electron beam. For this reason, in the X-ray tube, how to optimize the configuration of the electron gun and the configuration of the X-ray optical system is an important issue.
In the method using the deflection coil disclosed in
However, since the storage container also has a certain size, it is necessary to incline the potential of the storage container in order to match the potential of the storage container with the electric field potential potential. For example, when the storage container is installed near the center of an electron optical system that accelerates electrons at a voltage of 150 kV, the potential of the storage container needs to be a potential that is inclined in the range of about 50 to 100 kV. However, this is extremely difficult in practice. On the other hand, when the deflection coil is installed outside the vacuum container, it is not necessary to apply a potential to the storage container, but the inner diameter of the deflection coil becomes large and a necessary output cannot be secured. For this reason, it is necessary to squeeze the portion for attaching the deflection coil in the vacuum vessel as thin as a bottleneck, which complicates the structure.
In addition, a technique for forming two X-ray optical paths by providing two filaments in an X-ray tube is also disclosed (see, for example, Patent Document 2). However, in this technique, it is extremely difficult to control the trajectory of the electron beam, and there is a problem that the distance between the optical paths becomes too large for the purpose of improving the spatial resolution of the X-ray CT apparatus. .
Furthermore, a technique is also disclosed in which four electrodes are provided so as to surround the electron beam path, and the electric beam trajectory is displaced in two directions by controlling the potential of each electrode (see, for example, Patent Document 3). ). However, even in this technique, in order to prevent discharge from occurring between the electrode and the filament, the potential range that can be applied to the electrode is limited, so that the trajectory of the electron beam cannot be controlled effectively. .
An object of the present invention is to provide an X-ray tube and an X-ray CT apparatus capable of accurately controlling the X-ray irradiation position.

As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
The Wehnelt 14 is a disk-shaped member made of a nonmagnetic metal such as stainless steel, and a
The
Hereinafter, in the present specification, for convenience of explanation, the direction in which the
The insulating
As will be described later, an anode 22 (see FIG. 2) is provided at a position corresponding to the + Z direction when viewed from the
The X electrode 16 is made of a nonmagnetic metal such as stainless steel. The pair of X electrodes 16 have the same shape. The shape of each X electrode 16 is a part of a disc centered at one point on the path L, and its string extends in the Y direction. Further, the end face Tx facing the path L in the X electrode 16 is inclined with respect to the Z direction so that the + Z direction side opens. That is, the path L is inclined with respect to the extending direction so that the distance between the
The pair of
Thus, the configuration of the
Next, parts other than the
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the
The
A
Next, the operation of the
FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating the operation of the X-ray tube according to this embodiment.
Hereinafter, a description will be given with reference to FIGS.
First, the
In this state, the
Thereby, the portion corresponding to the actual focal point FB of the
At this time, in this embodiment, by applying a potential to each of the
Specifically, the reference potential of the
On the other hand, a potential of −2 kV with respect to the
Similarly, by controlling the potentials of the
Further, by superimposing the same positive potential on both
Next, the effect of this embodiment will be described.
In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, the Y electrode 17 is provided between the X electrode 16 and the
Furthermore, in this embodiment, since the end face Tx of the X electrode 16 is inclined with respect to the Z direction, when the electron beam EB is deflected in the X direction, the electron beam EB and the X electrode 16 The distance between them can be secured. Thereby, it is possible to avoid the influence of the electric field potential on the shape of the electron beam EB, and to prevent the electron beam EB from being deformed.
Furthermore, in this embodiment, since the configuration of the
Furthermore, in the present embodiment, since the thickness of the insulating
In the present embodiment, the end surface Ty of the Y electrode 17 is shown as being parallel to the Z direction. However, the end surface Ty is opened on the + Z direction side in the same manner as the end surface Tx of the X electrode 16. May be inclined with respect to the Z direction. Thereby, when the electron beam EB is deflected in the Y direction, the distance from the Y electrode 17 can be secured, so that the influence of the electric field potential can be avoided and the problem of deformation of the electron beam does not occur.

The results of this simulation are shown in FIGS.

Next, the fifth simulation result will be described.
In this simulation, the electric field distribution of the electron optical system is changed.
The results of this simulation are shown in FIGS. 10 (a) and 10 (b) and FIGS. 11 (a) and 11 (b).
As shown in FIGS. 10A and 10B, in this embodiment, the equipotential surface P is gentle along the end surface Tx at least in the X direction where the end surface Tx of the X electrode 16 is tapered. Formed.
On the other hand, when the end face of the X electrode 16 is not tapered, there is no problem when the acceleration voltage is low as shown in FIG. 11A, but as shown in FIG. When the acceleration voltage is increased, the shape of the equipotential plane P changes in a complicated manner, and it becomes somewhat difficult to control the actual focal point F EB of the electron beam EB.
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described.
FIG. 12 is a cross-sectional view illustrating an X-ray tube according to this embodiment.
FIG. 13 is a front view illustrating an electromagnetic deflector according to this embodiment.
As shown in FIG. 12, in the X-ray tube 2 according to the present embodiment, an
As shown in FIG. 13, for example, the
In the present embodiment, the
In addition, when providing the
Hereinafter, the effect of this embodiment is verified by simulation.
14 (a) and 14 (b) and FIGS. 15 (a) and 15 (b) are diagrams illustrating the simulation results of the trajectory of the electron beam. FIGS. 14 (a) and 14 (b) illustrate the electron beam as X. FIG. 15A and FIG. 15B show the result of deflecting the electron beam in the Y direction.
The simulation method is the same as the simulation method shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 in the first embodiment.
As shown in FIGS. 14 and 15, also in the present embodiment, the position of the actual focal point F EB of the electron beam EB could be effectively controlled.
Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described.
In the X-ray tube according to this embodiment, the potential of the
Next, a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described.
This embodiment is an embodiment of an X-ray CT apparatus equipped with the X-ray tube according to the first embodiment described above.
FIG. 16 is a diagram illustrating an X-ray CT apparatus according to this embodiment.
As shown in FIG. 16, the
Further, the
Further, the
Furthermore, the
Next, the operation of the
17A to 17C are diagrams illustrating the operation of the X-ray CT apparatus according to the present embodiment, FIG. 17A is a perspective view, and FIG. 17B is the radius of the circular orbit of the X-ray tube. It is the figure seen from the direction, (c) is the figure seen from the central-axis direction of this circular orbit.
As shown in FIGS. 16 and 17A to 17C, first, the holding means 62 holds the inspection target T. Next, the
At this time, the control means 65 controls the X and Y electrode potentials of the
Thus, according to the present embodiment, an X-ray CT apparatus with high spatial resolution can be realized by using the X-ray tube according to the first embodiment described above as an X-ray source. Moreover, pseudo defects can be reduced. As a result, the inspection accuracy of the inspection object T is improved. For example, when the
