Description
実際には、各セグメントのピストン対向面と同様に、少なくとも各セグメントの表面に隣接する領域が圧縮状態に保たれる。通常、圧縮領域はピストン対向面からセグメント内へ延びており、接線方向の圧縮は好適には50を超えるMPa、100MPaまたは200MPaである。

前記作動室内の作動流体圧は、例えば、作動室と高圧マニホルドの間における流体の流れを調整する前記電子制御されたバルブの開閉タイミングを制御することにより、カム係合要素が不連続箇所を通過する(すなわち当接する)場合に作動室を高圧マニホルドから密閉することにより制限されるものであってよい。
流体作動機械は、各カム係合要素が前記先行または追従面(すなわち不連続箇所が存在しないもの)の他方に当接するとき(且つ通常はその場合だけ)各作動室内の圧力が閾値を上回り、

Claims (15)
- 少なくとも1個のピストンを有する流体作動機械用リングカムであり、前記リングカムが少なくとも2個のセグメントを含み、前記セグメントがピストン対向面を有していて、前記ピストン対向面が共に、前記少なくとも1個のピストンの往復運動を前記少なくとも1個のピストンに相対的な前記リングカムの回転に結合すべく少なくとも1個のピストンと動作可能に係合するカム作動面を画定するリングカムであって、各セグメントの前記ピストン対向面が圧縮状態に保たれることを特徴とするリングカム。
- 各セグメントが、1個以上の固定具により少なくともピストン対向面が圧縮状態に保たれるように保持されている、請求項1に記載のリングカム。

- 請求項4に記載のリングカムを形成すべくリングカムセグメントを嵌合させる方法であって、前記リングカムセグメントを弾性的に変形させて前記セグメントのピストン対向面を圧縮しながら、リングカムセグメントのピストン対向面が前記作動面の一部を形成するようにリングカムセグメントを取り付けるステップを含む方法。
- 前記セグメントが、前記セグメントを前記カムセグメント支持部に接続するボルトに張力が作用した場合に弾性的に変形する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- ラジアルピストンと動作可能に係合する作動面部を有するリングカムセグメントであって、前記作動面部が割合xの反復波を有し、前記セグメントが湾曲しており、前記セグメントが、360°の比率y相当湾曲して前記作動面部の下地をなし、xがyの整数倍ではないリングカムセグメント。
- 前記リングカムセグメントがリングカム内に嵌合したときに、前記リングカムセグメントの曲率半径が少なくとも0.05%程度増加することが必要である、請求項12に記載のリングカムセグメント。
- 請求項12に記載のリングカムセグメントを含む部品のキットであって、リングカムを形成すべく組み立て可能な部品のキット。
- カムセグメント支持部および請求項12に記載の複数のカムセグメントを含む部品のキットであって、弾性的に変形されて前記カムセグメント支持部に嵌合された際に、前記複数のカムセグメントの前記ピストン対向面が共に整数個の波を有するリングカム作動面を形成する、部品のキット。
