Description
この太陽光収集装置の最外表面は、薄いポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)層である。この層は、3〜100ミクロンの厚さであり、フィルム又は押出成形層として形成できる場合には好ましくは15〜50ミクロンの厚さである。一つのコーティングにより形成されたPVDF層は、3〜20ミクロンの範囲であってよい。
薄いPVDF層は、最終用途に必要とされる強度を有しないので、それは、直接又は間接に硬い透明な熱可塑性構造支持層に付着される。この熱可塑性グレージングは、最終用途においてその重量を支持するだけ十分に厚くなければならず、熱可塑性樹脂の種類及びこのグレージングの寸法及び最終応用の用途によって変化しうる。この透明な熱可塑性樹脂は、太陽光収集装置の内側で観測される一層高い温度まで耐えることのできる任意の熱可塑性樹脂であってよい。本発明で有用な透明な熱可塑性樹脂には、ポリカーボネート、ポリエステル、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリスチレン、スチレン/アクリロニトリルコポリマー、ポリオレフィン、ポリ(塩化ビニル)、塩素化ポリ(塩化ビニル)、イミド化アクリル酸ポリマー、アクリル酸ポリマー、及びそれらのコポリマーが含まれるが、これらに限られない。
PVDFは、卓越した耐薬品性及び汚れの落ちる特性を有している。残念ながら、それは、殆どの物質に容易に付着しない。選択された少数の構造において、PVDF層は、熱可塑性層に直接付着するが、殆どの場合には、一層以上の他の材料(つなぎ層、粘着層など)がPVDF層と熱可塑性グレージング層との間で必要とされる。これら中間層は、合計で、一般に15〜125ミクロンの、好ましくは15〜30ミクロンの厚みを有している。
この複合されたPVDF外層を有する熱可塑性グレージング材料は、次いで、当分野で公知の手段によって、光起電性モジュール、太陽光収集器、及び他の光起電性デバイスのためのグレージングとして利用することができる。これらの熱可塑性樹脂材料は、一層軽量であること、一層優れた耐衝撃性、及びそれらを種々の寸法及び形状に形成することのできる容易さによって、ガラスを超える利点を有している。
約50ミクロンの全厚の薄いフィルムを、商品名Kynar710(PVDF、Arkema Inc.社製)と、PVDF/PMMA(商品名Kynar710/Altuglas V920、共にArkema Inc.社製)の30/70重量%ブレンドにより形成された第二の押出し流れとの共押出しにより形成する。この複合フィルムを、次いで、PMMAシート(Altuglas V046L)上に、溶融押出し中に、PVDF層とPMMA層の間のPVDF/PMMAブレンド中間層を用いて、ホットラミネート加工によって積層する。このPVDFフィルムを、幅11インチ(27.94cm)で押し出したPMMAシート上に積層し、これは、最大93.5%の卓越した透明度を示した。このPVDFフィルムを積層したPMMAシートは、クロスハッチ接着試験を、5Bにランクされる離層なし(100%)でパスした。このPVDFフィルムを積層したPMMAシートは、押出成形PMMA(V046L)におけるものと比較して一層優れたUVブロッキング性能を有した。濁り(haze)度は、PMMAシート上の厚さ50μmの二層化フィルムにおいて、このフィルムにおける〜20%と比較して、〜10%まで減少した。
Claims (8)
- 主たる表面上の太陽露出を最大にするための透明なグレージング(glazing)材料を含む、光起電性モジュールであって、該モジュールは:
a)硬質透明熱可塑性支持層;
b)環境にさらされるポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)外層であって;該硬質透明熱可塑性支持層に直接又は間接に付着された当該外層;及び
c)一種以上の中間層であって、前記硬質透明熱可塑性支持層a)とPVDF外層b)との間の中間層であり、ポリフッ化ビニリデンとポリメチルメタクリレート(PMMA)とのブレンドである中間層であり、各層が隣の層と直接付着される当該中間層
を備え、
前記の硬質透明熱可塑性支持層を、50〜100%のメチルメタクリレートモノマーユニットを含むアクリル酸ポリマー、及びそれらのコポリマーよりなる群から選択される該モジュール。 - 外層が、ポリフッ化ビニリデンのホモポリマーである、請求項1に記載の光起電性モジュール。
- 外層が、ポリフッ化ビニリデンのコポリマー又はターポリマーである、請求項1に記載の光起電性モジュール。
- 外層が、ポリフッ化ビニリデンとポリメチルメタクリレートのブレンドである、請求項1に記載の光起電性モジュール。
- 外層が、アクリル系誘導体で改質されたフルオロポリマーである、請求項1に記載の光起電性モジュール。
- 外層のポリフッ化ビニリデン層が、3〜100ミクロンの厚みを有する、請求項1に記載の光起電性モジュール。
- 一以上の中間層、及び/又は硬質透明熱可塑性支持層が、該層の全重量の1〜60重量%の耐衝撃性改良剤を含み、該耐衝撃性改良剤が、それらが存在する層のマトリックスにマッチした屈折率を有する、請求項1に記載の光起電性モジュール。
- PVDFのPMMAに対する体積比が、30/70〜70/30である、請求項1に記載の光起電性モジュール。
