[合成例1]
撹拌機、温度計及び窒素置換装置を備えたフラスコ内に、4,4’−オキシジフタル酸二無水物77.5g(0.25モル)及びN−メチル−2−ピロリドン600gを仕込んだ。次いで、2,2−ビス(4−アミノ−3−ヒドロキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパン82.4g(0.225モル)及び1,3−ビス(3−アミノプロピル)テトラメチルジシロキサン3.1g(0.0125モル)を反応系の温度が50℃を越えないように調節しながら、上記フラスコ内に加え、1時間攪拌した。その後、p−アミノフェノール1.4g(0.013モル)を加え更に10時間撹拌した。次に、該フラスコに水分受容器付き還流冷却器を取り付けた後、キシレン100gを加え、170℃に昇温してその温度を6時間保持したところ、褐色の溶液が得られた。

反応終了後、室温まで冷却し、反応溶液を水−メタノール中に投入後、析出した沈殿を濾過し、乾燥後、下記式で示されるエポキシ基を有するポリイミド(Polymer−1)を得た。ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィー(GPC)分析の結果、このポリマーの数平均分子量は、35,000であった。
[合成例2]
撹拌機、温度計及び窒素置換装置を備えたフラスコ内に、4,4’−オキシジフタル酸二無水物38.8g(0.125モル)、平均構造が下記一般式(7)で示される酸無水物変性シロキサン132.5g(0.125モル)及びγ−ブチロラクトン1000gを仕込んだ。次いで、2,2−ビス(4−アミノ−3−ヒドロキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパン88.8g(0.243モル)を反応系の温度が50℃を越えないように調節しながら、上記フラスコ内に加えた。その後、p−アミノフェノール0.87g(0.008モル)を加え、更に室温で10時間撹拌した。次に、該フラスコに水分受容器付き還流冷却器を取り付けた後、キシレン200gを加え、170℃に昇温してその温度を6時間保持したところ、褐色の溶液が得られた。

[合成例3]
撹拌機、温度計及び窒素置換装置を備えたフラスコ内に、4,4’−オキシジフタル酸二無水物31.0g(0.1モル)、平均構造が下記一般式(8)で示される酸無水物変性シロキサン243.1g(0.15モル)及びγ−ブチロラクトン1200gを仕込んだ。次いで、2,2−ビス(4−アミノ−3−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロパン48.4g(0.188モル)及び1,4−ビス(4−アミノフェノキシ)ベンゼン14.6g(0.05モル)を反応系の温度が50℃を越えないように調節しながら、上記フラスコ内に加えた。その後、p−アミノフェノール1.4g(0.013モル)を加え、更に室温で10時間撹拌した。次に、該フラスコに水分受容器付き還流冷却器を取り付けた後、キシレン200gを加え、170℃に昇温してその温度を6時間保持したところ、褐色の溶液が得られた。

[参考例1〜3]
熱硬化性樹脂組成物の調製
上記合成したポリイミド樹脂、硬化剤及び溶剤を表1に示す配合比率で混合し、樹脂組成物を調製した。
尚、表1中、H−1は2−メチルイミダゾールを、S−1はシクロペンタノンを表す。

樹脂組成物の硬化皮膜の形成及びその性能評価
(1)耐溶剤性
得られた各熱硬化性樹脂組成物を、フッ素樹脂がコートされた板上に乾燥後の厚さが約0.1mmになるように塗布し、80℃で30分、更に180℃で1時間加熱し、ポリイミド樹脂硬化皮膜を形成した。得られた硬化皮膜を常温のN−メチル−2−ピロリドン(NMP)に10分浸漬した後、皮膜の膨潤の有無を目視観察した。結果を表2に示す。

各樹脂組成物を銅基板上に塗布し、80℃で30分、更に、表1に示す各最終硬化温度で1時間加熱し、硬化皮膜を形成した。得られた硬化皮膜付きの銅基板を、150℃の乾燥機に200時間放置した後の接着性(「耐熱接着性」とする)、又は、120℃、2気圧の飽和水蒸気中に168時間放置した後の接着性(「高温高湿接着性」とする)を、碁盤目剥離テスト(JISK5400)により評価した。結果を表2に示す。

表2から分かるように、本発明のポリイミドからなる樹脂組成物は、耐溶剤性、耐熱性、耐湿性に優れる硬化物を与えることが実証された。
即ち、このような本発明のポリイミドであれば、例えば、電気部品、半導体材料の保護膜、層間絶縁膜、接着テープ等として有用であり、特に、比較的耐熱性の低い基材や熱で変質する材料に施与するのに好適であるといえる。
また、本発明の方法により、本発明のポリイミドを、収率良く製造することができた。
