Description
The present invention relates to an organic electronic device and a method for manufacturing the organic electronic device.
Among the organic electronic device manufacturing methods, the method of manufacturing a vapor-deposited organic electronic device in which an organic layer or the like of the organic electronic device is formed by a vacuum evaporation method is easy to form a laminated structure with high performance by functionally dispersing each layer. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture an organic electronic device with high efficiency and long life. However, the method for manufacturing a vapor deposition type organic electronic element has a drawback that a large apparatus in which a number of vacuum vapor deposition apparatuses (vacuum vapor deposition chambers) are connected is required, resulting in a very high cost.
On the other hand, in the manufacturing method of the coating type organic electronic element in which the organic layer or the like of the organic electronic element is formed by the coating method, the vacuum vapor deposition process is only the cathode forming process, so that it can be manufactured at low cost. Further, considering the mounting of organic electronic elements on a vehicle, high-temperature durability and high performance of the organic electronic elements are required. For example, in Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2, in the method of manufacturing a coating type organic electronic element, organic A technique for increasing a glass transition point by introducing a siloxane bond into a polymer material constituting a layer is disclosed. However, it is not easy for the coating type organic electronic device manufacturing method to have a laminated structure in which the functions are dispersed in each layer to achieve high performance. This is because when a plurality of organic layers are laminated by a coating method, the lower organic layer is dissolved in the solution for forming the upper organic layer.
For example, in Patent Document 1, a crosslinkable organic compound having a siloxane skeleton serving as a lower layer in a stacked structure of a lower layer having a hole transporting property formed by an evaporation method and an upper layer having a light emitting property formed by a coating method, A method is disclosed in which a crosslinkable organic compound such as a crosslinkable organic compound containing a silane coupling compound is vapor-deposited on a substrate, polymerized by thermal polymerization or the like after vapor deposition, and insolubilized. Thereby, it can prevent that a lower layer melt | dissolves in the polymer coating liquid which comprises an upper layer.
However, for example, when a crosslinking group is introduced into the light-emitting layer of an organic EL element or the photosensitive layer of an organic thin film solar cell, an unreacted crosslinking group may be present, and the unreacted crosslinking group becomes an exciton deactivation site. As a result, the efficiency is lowered, and an unstable cross-linking reaction of the unreacted cross-linking group proceeds after the formation of the device, thereby shortening the lifetime. As a result, the laminated structure makes the performance worse.

The surface of the first light emitting layer 16 (first organic layer) is subjected to a surface treatment to form a polymer material having an ester bond.

ホールブロック層は、TPBi(2,2’,2’’-(1,3,5-benzinetriyl)-tris(1-phenyl-1-H-benzimidazole))OXD7(1,3-bis(2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazo-5-yl)benzene)、BCP(2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline)等が挙げられる。

Next, PSSiBG3 represented by the following chemical formula (1) and TPTE represented by the following chemical formula (2) as materials constituting the first light emitting layer are respectively 1.5 wt% and 0.
(Comparative Example 2)
An ITO electrode having a thickness of 150 nm was formed on a glass substrate, and a 100 nm PEDOT / PSS layer (hole injection layer) was formed by spin coating. Next, PSiiloBG3 and TPTE as materials constituting the light-emitting layer were prepared by spin coating using a coating solution prepared so as to be 1.5% by weight and 0.5% by weight, respectively, with respect to the xylene solvent. A 120 nm light emitting layer was formed on the injection layer. The luminous efficiency per current density of 10 mA / cm 2 in Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 was evaluated, and the results are summarized in Table 1 below.
As can be seen from Table 1, in Examples 1 to 5, it was found that the luminous efficiency can be made higher than those of Comparative Examples 1 and 2. In particular, Examples 1 to 4, which were annealed at 150 ° C. or higher after immersion in the ether compound, showed very high luminous efficiency.
In Examples 1-5, since the surface of the first light emitting layer is insolubilized and the second light emitting layer is laminated, the concentration of the constituent material can be changed at the lamination interface, and an offset can be created in the hole transportability. It is considered that high luminous efficiency could be achieved. On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1, since the surface of the first light emitting layer was not insolubilized, the first light emitting layer was dissolved when the second light emitting layer was formed, and no offset was formed. It is thought that was not possible.

実施例6及び7の第1発光層表面をXPS(X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy)により分析した。 The surface of the first light emitting layer of Examples 6 and 7 was analyzed by XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy). For comparison, the surface of the first light emitting layer before insolubilization by surface treatment was also analyzed by XPS. FIG. 3 is a diagram showing peaks derived from C atoms on the surface of the first light emitting layer of Example 6 measured by XPS, and FIG. 4 is derived from O atoms on the surface of the first light emitting layer of Example 6 measured by XPS. 5 is a diagram showing a peak derived from Si atoms on the surface of the first light emitting layer of Example 6 measured by XPS, and FIG. 6 is a diagram of Example 6 measured by XPS. It is a figure which shows the linear analysis of the peak derived from the O atom of 1 light emitting layer surface, and FIG. 7 is a figure which shows the peak derived from the O atom of the 1st light emitting layer surface of Example 7 measured by XPS.
As shown in FIG. 3, the peak derived from the C atom attributed to the siloxane bond did not change before and after insolubilization by the surface treatment, but the peak derived from the O atom changed as shown in FIG. It was observed. Moreover, as shown in FIG. 5, the peak derived from the Si atom attributed to the siloxane bond was observed before the insolubilization by the surface treatment, but disappeared after the insolubilization and was not observed. Further, as shown in FIG. 6, as a result of linear analysis of the peak derived from the O atom in FIG. 4, the peak derived from the O atom before insolubilization is a peak attributed to the siloxane bond, whereas the peak derived from the O atom after insolubilization. This peak was found to be a peak attributed to an ester bond. As shown in FIG. 7, the first light emitting layer was insolubilized by immersing it in a 1,1′-dibutyl ether solution for 10 minutes (that is, annealing treatment was not performed). A peak derived from an O atom similar to 6 was observed. Based on these results, when the first light emitting layer is immersed in a solution containing an ether compound, the siloxane on the surface of the first light emitting layer is released and changed to an ester, thereby achieving insolubilization on the surface of the first light emitting layer. I understood it.
