Description
The present invention relates to a lens driving device, and more particularly to a lens driving device capable of moving a lens holder (movable part) holding a lens assembly (lens barrel) in the optical axis direction of the lens.
A portable small camera is mounted on a camera-equipped mobile phone. This portable small camera uses an autofocus lens driving device. Conventionally, various autofocus lens driving devices have been proposed. As a driving source (driving method) used in such a lens driving device, a VCM system using a voice coil motor (VCM) is known. The VCM lens driving device includes a driving coil and a magnetic circuit including a yoke and a permanent magnet as a driving source. The lens driving device is also called an actuator.
The lens driving device (actuator) includes a lens holder having a cylindrical portion for holding the lens assembly. The drive coil is fixed to the lens holder so as to be positioned around the cylindrical portion. The permanent magnet is disposed to face the drive coil. The yoke holds a permanent magnet. The yoke includes a cylindrical shield yoke in which a permanent magnet is disposed on an inner wall surface, and a plurality of back yokes facing the permanent magnet with a drive coil interposed therebetween. A pair of leaf springs are provided on both sides in the optical axis direction of the cylindrical portion of the lens holder. The pair of leaf springs support the lens holder so that it can be displaced in the optical axis direction in a state where the lens holder is positioned in the radial direction. Therefore, the lens holder (movable part) is arranged to be displaceable in the optical axis direction with a clearance from the magnetic circuit (fixed part).
In a mobile phone with a camera, there is a possibility that a shock of dropping or vibration is applied. Therefore, it is necessary for the lens driving device (actuator) to take measures against this impact application. That is, it is necessary to take measures to regulate the movement of the lens holder of the lens driving device (actuator) when an impact is applied to the camera-equipped mobile phone.
Conventionally, measures for regulating the movement of the lens holder have been proposed. For example, in Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2009-204906), a stopper is disposed between the lens holder and the cover, and an actuator base is disposed below the lens holder. More specifically, the pair of leaf springs includes an upper leaf spring and a lower leaf spring. Each of the upper leaf spring and the lower leaf spring has an inner peripheral end attached to the lens holder and an outer peripheral end attached to the yoke. The stopper is fitted to the lens holder so that the inner peripheral side end of the upper leaf spring is held between the stopper and the lens holder. The outer peripheral side end of the upper leaf spring is sandwiched and fixed between the yoke and the cover. On the other hand, the actuator base has an opening in which the lower end of the lens holder is loosely fitted. In other words, the lower end of the lens holder faces the opening of the actuator base with a clearance.
Therefore, the restrictions on the movement of the lens holder when the impact is applied are mainly as follows.
For the movement of the lens holder in the optical axis direction (vertical direction) of the lens and the direction orthogonal to the optical axis direction (front-rear direction and left-right direction), between the stopper and the cover and between the lens holder and the actuator base Regulate with
The movement of the lens holder in the rotational direction around the optical axis of the lens is regulated between the stopper and the cover. That is, the movement of the lens holder in the rotational direction is regulated by setting a clearance between the cover and the stopper.
As described above, the movement of the lens holder in the rotational direction is restricted by setting a clearance between the cover and the stopper. For this reason, the effect is biased to the upper part of the lens driving device (actuator). In other words, there are few effects with respect to the lower part of a lens drive device (actuator). As a result, when a drop or vibration impact is applied to the camera-equipped mobile phone, the movement of the lower portion of the lens holder increases, which may cause problems such as deformation of the lower leaf spring and disconnection of the drive coil. .
Therefore, the subject of this invention is providing the lens drive device which can regulate and stabilize the motion of a lens holder at the time of an impact application.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a lens driving device capable of reducing the burden on the lower leaf spring and the driving coil when applying an impact and thereby improving the reliability by regulating the movement of the lens holder. It is to provide.
Other objects of the invention will become apparent as the description proceeds.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

Here, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, an orthogonal coordinate system (X, Y, Z) is used. In the state illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 6, in the orthogonal coordinate system (X, Y, Z), the X-axis direction is the front-rear direction (depth direction), the Y-axis direction is the left-right direction (width direction), and Z The axial direction is the vertical direction (height direction). In the examples shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, the vertical direction Z is the direction of the optical axis O of the lens.
However, in the actual use situation, the optical axis O direction, that is, the Z-axis direction is the front-rear direction. In other words, the upward direction of the Z axis is the forward direction, and the downward direction of the Z axis is the backward direction.
撮像素子は、例えば、CCD(charge coupled device)型イメージセンサ、CMOS(complementary metal oxide semiconductor)型イメージセンサ等により構成される。

The
Further, as described above, in an actual use situation, the upward direction in the Z-axis direction (optical axis O direction) is the forward direction, and the downward direction in the Z-axis direction (optical axis O direction) is the backward direction. Therefore, the
The upper leaf spring (front spring) 22 and the lower leaf spring (rear spring) 24 are made of a metal such as stainless steel or beryllium copper, for example. The upper leaf spring (front spring) 22 and the lower leaf spring (rear spring) 24 are manufactured by pressing a predetermined thin plate or etching using a photolithography technique. Note that the etching process is more preferable than the press process. This is because residual stress does not remain in the leaf spring in the etching process.

On the other hand, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the

これにより、VCM(ボイス・コイル・モータ)特性のバラツキを改善できる。

On the other hand, the

The
By energizing the
In the
As described above, in the conventional lens driving device, when the impact of dropping or vibration is applied to the camera-equipped mobile phone, the movement of the lower portion of the lens holder becomes large, and the lower leaf spring is deformed or the driving coil is disconnected. There is a risk that problems such as these may occur.
In contrast, the lens driving device according to the present embodiment can prevent these problems. Hereinafter, the malfunction prevention mechanism will be described in detail.
As described above, in the
According to the

More specifically, it is assumed that an impact of dropping or vibration is applied to the camera-equipped mobile phone. As a result, for example, it is assumed that the
On the other hand, it is assumed that the
Further, both the
