Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell system, and more particularly to a fuel cell system including a fuel cell case in which a fuel cell stack and a diluter are housed.
In recent years, fuel cell stacks have been mounted on automobiles or vehicles because they have little impact on the environment. In the fuel cell stack, for example, a fuel gas such as hydrogen is supplied to the anode side, an oxidizing gas containing oxygen such as air is supplied to the cathode side, and necessary electric power is taken out by an electrochemical reaction through the electrolyte membrane.
The cathode offgas when the oxidizing gas supplied to the cathode side is discharged from the fuel cell stack contains reaction product water generated by an electrochemical reaction. On the other hand, the anode off-gas when the fuel gas supplied to the anode side is discharged from the fuel cell stack also contains the reaction product water that has passed through the electrolyte membrane, although the amount is smaller than that of the cathode off-gas. .
The anode off gas is sent to the diluter by opening a purge valve provided in the middle of a pipe connecting the anode off gas outlet of the fuel cell stack and the diluter at a predetermined timing. Cathode off-gas is also sent from the fuel cell to the diluter via piping. In the diluter, the anode off-gas is mixed with the cathode off-gas and diluted, and then discharged to the outside. At this time, the reaction product water contained in each of the cathode offgas and the anode offgas is also discharged together.
For example, Patent Document 1 describes that a fuel cell system box in which components such as a fuel cell stack and a diluter are housed is mounted on the lower floor of a vehicle. By mounting the fuel cell system box containing the fuel cell stack, the diluter, and the like in this manner, there is an advantage that the degree of freedom in designing the vehicle exterior design is increased.
As described above, in a vehicle equipped with a fuel cell system box containing a fuel cell stack and a diluter, etc., in addition to taking electrical insulation between the inside and outside of the fuel cell system box, In order to ensure electrical insulation with respect to the fuel cell stack, it is desirable that electrical insulation be ensured also in the exhaust path from the fuel cell stack to the outside of the box.
Therefore, the anode off-gas pipe and the cathode off-gas pipe connected to the fuel cell stack are made of insulating pipes such as rubber hoses, and the diluter is made of an insulating resin or the inner surface of the diluter is coated with an insulating resin coating. It is possible to apply.
However, when the product water to be discharged outside the vehicle collects on the lower surface in the direction of gravity in the diluter, it flows down in a streak-like manner in the off-gas piping extending from the fuel cell stack to the diluter, particularly the anode off-gas piping. When the product water that has accumulated in the diluter is connected to the product water that comes, current can flow through the connected product water, and the insulation resistance between the fuel cell stack and the diluter decreases, and the fuel cell stack The insulation against is not guaranteed.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to prevent the generated water accumulated in the diluter disposed together with the fuel cell stack in the fuel cell case from being connected, and to further ensure electrical insulation with respect to the fuel cell stack. It is to provide a fuel cell system.
A fuel cell system according to the present invention includes a fuel cell that generates electricity by an electrochemical reaction between a fuel gas supplied to the anode side and an oxidizing gas supplied to the cathode side, and anode off-gas discharged from the fuel cell as cathode off-gas. A fuel cell comprising: a diluter that dilutes and exhausts; a fuel cell case that houses the fuel cell and the diluter; and an exhaust pipe that extends downstream in the exhaust direction of the diluter and penetrates the fuel cell case The diluter has a plurality of recesses on the lower surface in the gravity direction of one chamber , and the plurality of recesses are formed so that water accumulated in each recess does not connect to each other in the exhaust direction in the diluter. It is characterized by being.
According to this configuration, the plurality of recesses are formed so that the water accumulated on the lower surface in the gravity direction of one chamber in the diluter is not connected in the exhaust direction, so that the water accumulated in the diluter is connected and insulated. It is possible to prevent the resistance from decreasing and to secure the insulation of the diluter, thereby ensuring more reliable electrical insulation with respect to the fuel cell in the fuel cell case.
The fuel cell system according to the present invention further includes an air shut-off valve outside the fuel cell case, and an edge of the opening of the fuel cell case wall portion through which an exhaust pipe extending downstream in the exhaust direction of the diluter passes. A seal member that seals the gap between the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust pipe in a liquid-tight state may be sandwiched and fixed between the outer surface of the fuel cell case and the end surface of the air shutoff valve.
According to this configuration, since the seal member can be fixed using the air shutoff valve provided outside the case, it is not necessary to use a special part for fixing the seal member, and the number of parts can be reduced. .
In the fuel cell system according to the present invention, it is preferable that the air shutoff valve is fixed to the fuel cell case. In this case, the air shutoff valve may be fixed via a vibration absorbing member.
According to this configuration, it is not necessary to use a special part for fixing the air shutoff valve provided outside the case to the chassis or the like, and the number of parts can be reduced. Further, if the air shut-off valve is fixed to the fuel cell case via the vibration absorbing member, even if vibration occurs in the air shut-off valve due to the exhaust gas flow passing through the inside, the vibration is absorbed by the vibration absorbing member. Thus, propagation to the fuel cell case can be prevented, and NV (low noise / low vibration) performance can be ensured.
Furthermore, in the fuel cell system according to the present invention, it is preferable that the fuel gas supply pipe extending through the case wall surface from the outside of the fuel cell case is provided on the upper side in the gravity direction than the air shutoff valve.
According to this configuration, even when the fuel gas supply pipe is disposed at a short distance in the horizontal direction, the fuel gas supply pipe becomes an obstacle when performing maintenance such as replacement of the air shutoff valve from the lower side of the vehicle. Therefore, maintainability is improved.
Embodiments according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings. In this description, specific shapes, materials, and the like are examples for facilitating the understanding of the present invention, and can be appropriately changed according to the use, purpose, specification, and the like.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a
The
Hydrogen gas, which is fuel gas, is supplied to a gas inlet on the anode side of the

The
On the other hand, the
The cathode side outlet of the
FIG. 2 shows a cross section along the direction of gravity of the
The
A plurality of
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a specific example of the shape and arrangement of the
Referring back to FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the

Next, the operation and action of the
The
The cathode offgas discharged from the cathode side outlet of the
In the
However, a plurality of
Exhaust gas, which is a mixture of anode off-gas and cathode off-gas, is discharged out of the case through the
