Description
本発明は、上記実施の形態に限定されず、以下の形態等であっても良い。
(1)例えば、上記実施の形態では、回転規制と同時にモータ(サーボモータ)5aを制御して第二のワークW2側を回転可能なフリー状態にする形態であった。しかし回転規制と同時にモータ5aを制御して第二のワークW2側に第一のワークW1と同じ方向に回転力を加え、これによって第二のワークW2を強制的に回転させる形態であっても良い。その結果、第一のワークW1が減速し始め、第二のワークW2が第一のワークW1に対して積極的に回転し始め、その後、ワークW1,W2間の相対回転がゼロになる。そのため短時間でワークW1,W2間の相対回転がゼロになる。かくして一対のワークW1,W2間に発生する捩れが少なくなり、捩れによって生じるバリが小さくなる。

Claims (4)
- 一対のワークを相対回転させつつ押し当てることで前記一対のワークを摩擦圧接する摩擦圧接方法であって、
前記一対のワークを相対回転させつつ押し当てて摩擦熱を発生させる摩擦工程と、
前記摩擦工程において前記一対のワークに寄り代が発生する前でかつ前記一対のワーク間に最大摩擦トルクが発生する前に開始し、前記一対のワークの相対回転を規制し、かつ前記一対のワークの間にアプセット圧を加えるアプセット工程とを有し、
前記摩擦工程は、少なくともワーク外周部に焼付きが生じない相対回転数で行われ、
一方の前記ワークを回転させ、他方の前記ワークを固定し、
前記アプセット工程において、前記回転させたワーク側にブレーキをかけ、かつこの時に固定したワーク側を回転可能なフリー状態にし、
前記一対のワークが鋼材であり、
前記摩擦工程における前記一対のワークの相対回転速度を3300〜10000rpmに設定し、かつ前記摩擦工程における前記一対のワーク間を押す圧力を5〜10MPaに設定し、
前記アプセット工程において、前記アプセット圧を10〜30MPaに設定することを特徴とする摩擦圧接方法。 - 請求項1に記載の摩擦圧接方法であって、
制御手段によって一対のワークが固着する固着時の前後における前記一対のワークの寄り代が所定値よりも大きいか否かを判断し、これによって前記ワーク間の接合の良否を判定する品質管理工程を有していることを特徴とする摩擦圧接方法。 - 請求項2に記載の摩擦圧接方法であって、
一方のワークを回転させ、他方のワークを固定し、
アプセット工程において、前記回転させたワーク側を回転規制し、かつこの時に固定したワーク側を回転可能なフリー状態にし、
前記フリー状態のワークの回転速度を測定するセンサからの検知信号に基づいて、前記ワークが加速から減速になった時点を固着時と制御手段が特定することを特徴とする摩擦圧接方法。 - 請求項2に記載の摩擦圧接方法であって、
一方のワークを回転させ、他方のワークを固定し、
アプセット工程において、前記他方のワークを固定しつつ前記回転させたワーク側を回転規制し、
回転規制を開始した時点と前記回転させたワークの回転が停止した時点に基づいて、制御手段が固着時を算出し特定することを特徴とする摩擦圧接方法。
