Claims (8)
- 燃焼室内に供給されたアンモニアを燃焼室に配置された点火装置によって点火するようにしたアンモニア燃焼内燃機関において、上記点火装置としてプラズマジェットを放出する少くとも一つのプラズマジェット点火栓又はスパークを発生する複数の点火栓を用い、該点火装置の点火エネルギは機関負荷が低下すると増大せしめられ、吸入空気中に液状アンモニアを供給するようにしたアンモニア燃焼内燃機関。
- 上記点火装置の点火エネルギは機関回転数が高くなると増大せしめられる請求項1に記載のアンモニア燃焼内燃機関。
- 機関排気通路内に排気ガス中に含まれるアンモニアを浄化しうるアンモニア浄化触媒を配置し、排気ガス中に含まれるアンモニアを吸着可能であって温度上昇すると吸着したアンモニアを放出するアンモニア吸着材を該アンモニア浄化触媒上流の機関排気通路内に配置した請求項1に記載のアンモニア燃焼内燃機関。
- 上記アンモニア浄化触媒がアンモニアを酸化しうる酸化触媒およびアンモニアの存在下で排気ガス中に含まれるNO X を選択的に還元可能なNO X 選択還元触媒のいずれか一方又は双方からなる請求項3に記載のアンモニア燃焼内燃機関。
- 吸入空気中に液状アンモニアを供給するための液状アンモニア噴射弁に加え、吸入空気中にガス状アンモニアを供給するためのガス状アンモニア供給装置を具備した請求項1に記載のアンモニア燃焼内燃機関。
- 上記ガス状アンモニア供給装置が液状アンモニアを気化させるためのアンモニア気化装置と、気化したガス状アンモニアを貯留しておくためのアンモニアガスタンクとを具備しており、アンモニアガスタンク内のガス状アンモニアが吸入空気中に供給される請求項5に記載のアンモニア燃焼内燃機関。
- 吸入空気中に供給される液状アンモニアの量と吸入空気中に供給されるガス状アンモニアの量との比率に応じて上記点火装置の点火エネルギが変更せしめられる請求項5に記載のアンモニア燃焼内燃機関。
- 吸入空気中に供給される全アンモニアの量に対する液状アンモニアの量の割合が増大するほど上記点火装置の点火エネルギが増大せしめられる請求項7に記載のアンモニア燃焼内燃機関。
