Description
The present invention relates to a tool changing method and a tool changing device for cleaning, lubricating, and rust-proofing a tool when, for example, a tool stored in a tool magazine is attached to and detached from a spindle of a machine tool such as a machining center. .
Conventionally, in a machine tool such as a machining center, for example, a large number of exchange tools held in a chain-shaped tool magazine are automatically attached to and detached from a main spindle in a machine tool body to cut a work material. . In such a machine tool, if foreign matter such as dust or chips adheres to the tool when changing the tool, the tool will not be mounted accurately due to misalignment when the taper shank of the tool is mounted on the spindle. There is a risk of deteriorating accuracy.
Further, as shown in FIG. 10, in a state where cutting is possible with the
Further, if the cutting fluid adhering to the
As an invention for improving such a problem, for example, a cleaning / cleaning device for a replacement tool described in Patent Documents 1 to 4 below has been proposed.
In the automatic tool cleaning apparatus described in Patent Document 1, one pot among a large number of tool storage pots storing tools in a chain magazine in the automatic tool changer is used as a cleaning pot. By indexing the magazine, the cleaning pot containing the tool to be cleaned is brought to the cleaning position and connected to a separate cleaning device. In this state, the cleaning medium is discharged into the cleaning pot, and cleaning is performed while the tool is inserted into and removed from the cleaning pot using the ATC exchange arm.
Further, in the tool magazine described in
Further, in the machine tool described in Patent Document 4, the tool held by the rotary arm is held at the cleaning position before the used tool is taken out from the main shaft by the rotary arm and stored in the tool magazine. In this state, the tool is sandwiched between two rotating brushes, and the used tool is quickly cleaned by moving the rotating brush while turning.
However, the tool cleaning device and the tool changer as described above have the following problems.
That is, in the automatic tool cleaning apparatus described in Patent Document 1, one of the pots for storing tools in the tool magazine is a cleaning pot. Therefore, each time cleaning is performed, the tool to be cleaned is indexed and extracted from the pot. Further, since it is necessary to determine the cleaning pot and clean the tool, it takes time to determine the tool to be cleaned and the cleaning pot, and there is a drawback that the tool cannot be cleaned efficiently and quickly.
Moreover, the cleaning pot only needs to be cleaned with air, and if the lubricating oil adhering to the taper shank portion of the tool is washed away by the coolant during cutting, there is also a drawback that the tool rusts. .
Further, in
In patent document 4, since the foreign material adhering to a tool is removed with a rotating brush, the foreign material adhering to a rotating brush may adhere to the next tool, and there exists a fault which cannot perform sufficient washing | cleaning. In addition, as in the above-described Patent Documents 1 to 3, this cleaning device does not consider lubrication and rust prevention of the tapered shank portion of the tool.
The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and when replacing a tool, not only removes foreign matter adhering to the tool, but also a tool changing method capable of exhibiting lubrication and rust prevention of the tool, and An object is to provide a tool changer.
In the tool changing method according to the present invention, a tool is taken out from any storage pot of a tool magazine provided with a plurality of storage pots storing tools, transferred to a standby pot, attached to the main spindle from the standby pot, and the tool is connected to the main spindle. In the tool changing method in which the tool is taken out from the standby pot and inserted into the standby pot, and the tool is taken out from the standby pot and stored in the storage pot of the tool magazine, when the tool is taken out from the storage pot in the tool magazine delivery position, Injecting air into the shank part of the tool by the nozzle, attaching the tool to the standby pot after injecting air, and injecting oil into the shank part of the tool by the second nozzle when removing the tool from the standby pot The process, the process of mounting the tool on the spindle after oil is injected, and the tool is transferred from the spindle to the standby pot. Injecting air into the shank part of the tool by the second nozzle when changing, Injecting oil into the shank part of the tool by the first nozzle when storing the tool from the standby pot in the storage pot, and injecting oil Attaching the tool to the storage pot after the first nozzle is provided with a plurality of injection ports for injecting air or oil at an angle inclined with respect to the center line of the inner surface of the storage pot. The standby nozzle is provided with a plurality of injection ports for injecting air or oil at an angle inclined with respect to the center line of the inner surface of the standby pot. It is characterized by spraying the shank part of the tool through the inside of the pot .
According to the present invention, when removing the tool from the storage pot at the delivery position of the tool magazine, cleaning is performed such as removing foreign matter adhering to the shank portion of the tool by injecting air with the first nozzle. It is possible to prevent the mounting accuracy due to foreign matter from deteriorating when the tool is mounted on the spindle. In addition, after air blowing, oil is injected into the tool by the second nozzle to improve lubricity, so that the shank part of the tool can be smoothly attached and detached from the spindle, and the tool adheres to the spindle due to rust etc. Can be prevented.
And after cutting the work material with the tool attached to the main shaft, by spraying air when moving the tool to the standby pot, foreign matter such as cutting fluid and chips adhering to the tool during processing is removed, etc. This prevents foreign matter from sticking to the tool or making it sticky to deteriorate the accuracy of mounting to the spindle during the next cutting or preventing the tool from coming off the spindle. . When air is blown, when the tool is stored in the storage pot, oil is sprayed onto the tool to improve lubricity and prevent rust and the like from being generated in the shank portion of the tool.
In addition, since the air and oil can be injected into the tool in each of the changing steps of mounting the tool on the spindle and storing it in the tool magazine, it is possible to prevent the tool change cycle time from becoming long.
The first nozzle is provided with a plurality of injection ports for injecting air or oil at an angle inclined with respect to the center line of the inner surface of the storage pot, and is injected into the shank portion of the tool through the inside of the storage pot. The nozzle is provided with a plurality of injection ports for injecting air or oil at an angle inclined with respect to the center line of the inner surface of the standby pot, and injects it into the shank portion of the tool through the inside of the standby pot. Therefore, when injecting air or oil through the inner surface of the storage pot or standby pot, it is possible to prevent the air from swirling from the center side to the outside and generating a swirling flow returning to the nozzle side to prevent foreign matter from being caught inside, A radial air flow can flow along the shank portion to reliably blow out foreign matter, and oil can adhere to the entire shank portion.
Moreover, it is preferable that the first nozzle is provided facing the storage pot at the delivery position of the tool magazine, and the second nozzle is preferably provided facing the standby pot. It is economical that air and oil can be sequentially injected to the subsequent tool.
A tool changer according to the present invention attaches a tool stored in a storage pot of a tool magazine to a main shaft through a standby pot, and stores a tool taken out from the main shaft in a storage pot of the tool magazine through the standby pot. In the tool changer, a plurality of storage pots for storing tools are arranged, and a tool magazine that can be transferred to any delivery pot, a tool between the storage pot at the delivery position, the standby pot, and the spindle Is provided at a position corresponding to the storage pot at the delivery position, a first nozzle for selectively injecting one of air and oil to the tool, and a position corresponding to the standby pot. and a second nozzle for injecting the selectively tool one of the air and oil Te, first nozzle, the centerline of the inner surface of the storage pot A plurality of injection ports for injecting air or oil at an inclined angle are provided and injected into the shank portion of the tool through the inside of the storage pot, and the second nozzle is inclined with respect to the center line of the inner surface of the standby pot A plurality of injection ports for injecting air or oil at an angle are provided and injected into the shank portion of the tool through the inside of the standby pot .
According to the present invention, when the tool is mounted on the spindle from the tool magazine or stored in the tool magazine from the spindle, first, air is sprayed onto the tool to remove foreign matter adhering to the shank portion, Thereafter, oil is sprayed onto the shank portion of the tool, so that lubricity and rust prevention can be imparted to the tool without including foreign matter. And since it is performed in a tool change process, the cycle time of a tool change does not become long in connection with the injection process of air and oil.
In addition, the first nozzle is provided with a plurality of injection ports for injecting air or oil at an angle inclined with respect to the center line of the inner surface of the storage pot, and the second nozzle is provided at the center line of the inner surface of the standby pot. Since there are a plurality of injection ports for injecting air or oil at an angle inclined with respect to the inside, when air or oil is injected through the inner surface of the storage pot or standby pot, the air swirls from the center side to the outside. A swirling flow returning to the nozzle side can be prevented and foreign matter can be prevented from getting inside, and a radial air flow can flow along the shank part to reliably blow out the foreign matter. Can adhere.
The first nozzle is disposed on the opposite side of the storage pot with respect to the direction of attaching / detaching the tool, and the second nozzle is disposed on the opposite side of the standby pot with respect to the direction of attaching / detaching the tool. Air or oil was sprayed on the tool.
As a result, when air or oil is sprayed onto the tool, it can be sprayed evenly over the entire shank part of the tool by spraying from the shank part side of the tool. In this way, rust and adhesives from cutting fluid do not adhere.
According to the tool changing method and the tool changing device of the present invention, when changing tools, the tool is exchanged between the spindle through the storage pot of the tool magazine and the standby pot, and air is injected into the shank portion of the tool to the tool. The adhering foreign matter can be removed by air, and oil can be attached to the tool to perform lubricity and rust prevention of the tool. In addition, by selectively injecting air and oil to the tool in conjunction with the tool change process, the tool can be cleaned efficiently without extending the cycle time required for tool change, and lubricity and rust prevention. Can be granted.

FIG. 7 is a diagram of an air circuit for supplying air or oil mist to the storage pot and standby pot, FIG. 8 is a time chart showing tool change and cleaning, lubrication, and rust prevention processes for the tool, and FIG. 9 is a flowchart of the tool change method. It is.
In the XYZ axis coordinate system shown in the figure, the Y axis indicates the vertical direction, and the X axis and the Z axis indicate directions orthogonal to each other in the horizontal plane.

Further, as shown in FIG. 7, the
Next, the tool
The
Further, in the
The

Next, the

At this time, the air blows ejected from the

First, the
Next, the
By repeating such operations, an
In the above description, after the
As described above, according to the
Further, when the
In addition, in the process of mounting the
Furthermore, in the

The oil ejected by the first and
