Description
− クラッド中に入る輻射線及びそれに続く輻射線の周囲材料中への、特にバッファー及びジャケットがファイバーに連結されている領域中への漏れによる損傷、及び
− ファイバーを保持するのに適合した機械的細部に当たる輻射線放射による損傷。

ここでnは棒6に対する屈折率を表す。輻射線の光学的ひずみを避けるために、円錐角の値は前記出口角を越えるべきである。もし
α=1,5*γ
とすれば、そのとき、出て行く輻射線ビームの品質への影響は殆どない。既述のように、円錐角は典型的には10°〜45°の範囲内にある。
Claims (7)
- 高い光出力、特に1kwを越える出力、を伝送するための光ファイバーコネクターであって、それが、透明材料から作られた本体(6)、例えば棒、バー等、と直接光学的に接触した端部の一つを持つ光ファイバー(1)を含み、この光ファイバー端部と連結した本体(6)が、光ファイバー(1)と、光ファイバーの接触端のまわりに配置された流動冷却剤のための空間(7)とに向かって面する端部表面(10)を有し、その端部表面(10)が透明本体(6)と光ファイバー(1)の接触表面積を越える面積を持つものにおいて、光ファイバー(1)と流動冷却剤のための空間(7)とに向かって面する透明本体(6)の前記端部表面(10)が実質的に円錐形のデザインを持つこと、及び円錐形表面(10)のベース部が流動冷却剤の可能な旋回または乱流効果を防ぐために棚または出張り(17)を与えられていることを特徴とする光ファイバーコネクター。
- 前記実質的に円錐形の表面(10)が、その先端部(10a)で光ファイバー端部に連結され、かつファイバー端部から離れるように円錐形に発散していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバーコネクター。
- 透明本体(6)が石英から作られていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバーコネクター。
- 円錐形表面(10)の円錐角(α)が10〜45度の範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の光ファイバーコネクター。
- 前記流動冷却剤が空気であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバーコネクター。
- 前記流動冷却剤が流体、好ましくは水であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバーコネクター。
- 光ファイバーのコアーの外側に入る入射輻射線が流動冷却剤に少なくとも部分的に吸収されるように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の光ファイバーコネクター。
