Description
1.発明の分野
本発明は修飾顔料生成物、これらの修飾顔料生成物の分散体組成物、ならびに電気泳動ディスプレイ(electrophoretic displays)、インク、コーティングおよびプラスチックを含む、いくつかの用途におけるこれらの修飾顔料生成物に関する。さらに本発明は基板および放射線吸収層を含む印刷版に関し、そこで放射線吸収層は少なくとも1つの修飾顔料生成物を含む。
2.関連技術の説明
顔料はインク、コ−ティング、トナー、プラスチック、ゴム、フィルム、ディスプレイ等のような種々の用途において使用されている。これらの用途のそれぞれにおける共通の目的は実質的に、そして均一に分散されることができ、そして、顔料により示される色および他の性質が、顔料を配合する組成物および材料中に均一になるように、組成物中に分散されたままであることができる顔料を提供することである。
発明の要約
本発明は、式−X−Sp−Alkで示される少なくとも1つの有機基を結合した顔料を含有する修飾顔料生成物に関し、ここでXは顔料に直接に結合し、アリーレン、ヘテロアリーレンもしくはアルキレン基を示し、Spはスペーサ基を示し、そしてAlkは50〜200の炭素原子を含むアルケニルもしくはアルキル基を示す。
発明の詳細な説明
本発明は、一般的に、修飾顔料生成物、該修飾顔料生成物を含む分散体組成物、ならびに基板および該修飾顔料生成物を含有する放射線吸収層を含む印刷版、に関する。種々の用途における修飾顔料生成物の使用も記載される。
例
例1 ポリマーの調製
無水マレイン酸17gおよびMW1330のポリイソブチレン(Amoco,Chicago、イリノイ州から入手しうる)230gが200℃で、18時間、窒素雰囲気下で機械的攪拌しながら加熱された。反応混合物は室温に冷却され、そしてp−フェニレンジアミン18.7gが添加された。ついで反応混合物は200℃で、4時間、加熱された。冷却後にヘキサンが添加され、いくらかの固体が遠心分離により除去され、残る溶液が真空下で濃縮された。ポリマーはN−(p−アミノフェニル)ポリイソブテニルサクシンイミドであった。
例2 ポリマーの調製
無水マレイン酸9.3gおよびMW940のポリイソブチレン(Amoco,Chicago、イリノイ州から入手しうる)80gが200℃で、18時間、窒素雰囲気下で機械的攪拌しながら加熱された。反応混合物は室温に冷却され、そしてp−フェニレンジアミン10.3gが添加された。ついで反応混合物は200℃で、3時間、加熱された。冷却後にヘキサンが添加され、いくらかの固体が遠心分離により除去され、残る溶液が真空下で濃縮された。ポリマーはN−(p−アミノフェニル)ポリイソブテニルサクシンイミドであった。
例3 修飾顔料生成物の調製

- a)基板および b)放射線吸収層を含む印刷版であり、放射線吸収層は式−X−Sp−Alkで示される少なくとも1つの有機基を結合した顔料を含む少なくとも1つの修飾顔料生成物を含有し、ここでXは顔料に直接に結合し、アリーレン、ヘテロアリーレンもしくはアルキレン基を示し、Spはスペーサ基を示し、Alkは60〜200の炭素原子を含むアルケニルもしくはアルキル基を示す。
- 放射線吸収層がさらにポリマーを含有する請求項3記載の印刷版。
- パターンを境界づける少なくとも放射線吸収層を選択的に除去もしくは化学的に修飾するべき画像を示すパターンで、印刷版をレーザー出力に選択的に露光させることを含む請求項3記載の印刷版の画像形成方法。
- パターンを境界づける画像形成層の部分を除去することのできる溶媒に印刷版をさらすことをさらに含む請求項6記載の方法。
- a)基板、b)UV硬化性層およびc)放射線吸収層を含むフレキソ印刷版であり、放射線吸収層は式−X−Sp−Alkで示される少なくとも1つの有機基を結合した顔料を含む少なくとも1つの修飾顔料生成物を含有し、ここでXは顔料に直接に結合し、アリーレン、ヘテロアリーレンもしくはアルキレン基を示し、Spはスペーサ基を示し、Alkは60〜200の炭素原子を含むアルケニルもしくはアルキル基を示す。
- 放射線吸収層がさらにポリマーを含有する請求項8記載のフレキソ印刷版。
- a)インク層、b)光熱層およびc)支持体を含む感熱転写記録材料であり、光熱層は式−X−Sp−Alkで示される少なくとも1つの有機基を結合した顔料を含む少なくとも1つの修飾顔料生成物を含有し、ここでXは顔料に直接に結合し、アリーレン、ヘテロアリーレンもしくはアルキレン基を示し、Spはスペーサ基を示し、Alkは60〜200の炭素原子を含むアルケニルもしくはアルキル基を示す。
- 光熱層がさらにポリマーを含有する請求項10記載の感熱転写記録材料。
- a)放射線透過支持体、b)放射線硬化性層およびc)受容層を含むプルーフィング材料であり、放射線硬化性層は式−X−Sp−Alkで示される少なくとも1つの有機基を結合した顔料を含む少なくとも1つの修飾顔料生成物を含有し、ここでXは顔料に直接に結合し、アリーレン、ヘテロアリーレンもしくはアルキレン基を示し、Spはスペーサ基を示し、Alkは60〜200の炭素原子を含むアルケニルもしくはアルキル基を示す。
- 放射線硬化性層がさらにポリマーを含有する請求項12記載のプルーフィング材料。
- 透明な基板上に感光性コーティングを付着させること、コーティングを画像態様に露光させ、そしてコーティングを現像および乾燥することにより形成されるブラックマトリックスであり、感光性コーティングは溶媒ならびに式−X−Sp−Alkで示される少なくとも1つの有機基を結合した顔料を含有する修飾顔料生成物を含有し、ここでXは顔料に直接に結合し、アリーレン、ヘテロアリーレンもしくはアルキレン基を示し、Spはスペーサ基を示し、そしてAlkは60〜200の炭素原子を含むアルケニルもしくはアルキル基を示す。
- さらに感光性樹脂を含有する請求項14記載のブラックマトリックス。
- マイクロカプセルの配列を含む電気泳動ディスプレイであり、マイクロカプセルは絶縁流体ならびに式−X−Sp−Alkで示される少なくとも1つの有機基を結合した顔料を含有する修飾顔料生成物を含有し、ここでXは顔料に直接に結合し、アリーレン、ヘテロアリーレンもしくはアルキレン基を示し、Spはスペーサ基を示し、そしてAlkは60〜200の炭素原子を含むアルケニルもしくはアルキル基を示す。
- 非水性ベヒクルならびに式−X−Sp−Alkで示される少なくとも1つの有機基を結合した顔料を含有する修飾顔料生成物を含有する非水性インクジェット用インク組成物であり、ここでXは顔料に直接に結合し、アリーレン、ヘテロアリーレンもしくはアルキレン基を示し、Spはスペーサ基を示し、そしてAlkは60〜200の炭素原子を含むアルケニルもしくはアルキル基を示す。
- 非水性コーティング組成物における請求項1記載の修飾顔料生成物の使用。
