Description
The present invention relates to an improvement of a shock absorber.
For example, this type of shock absorber is interposed between a vehicle body and an axle of a motorcycle or between a steering wheel and a vehicle body of a motorcycle to dampen vibrations in a vibration control target. In such a shock absorber, it may be desired that the damping force generated during expansion and compression can be made variable independently.
In order to satisfy these requirements, for example, there are provided an expansion side damping valve that exhibits a damping force when the shock absorber is extended and a compression side damping valve that exhibits a damping force when compressed, and these are driven by a solenoid. The generated damping force can be made variable.
However, when each of the expansion side and compression side damping valves is driven by separate solenoids, two solenoids are required for one shock absorber, which increases the size of the shock absorber and increases its weight and cost.
In order to avoid this, there is a proposal that controls the valve body of both the expansion side damping valve and the pressure side damping valve in series and controls them with a single solenoid. The damping force can be adjusted, and the increase in size, weight and cost of the shock absorber can be reduced (for example, see Patent Documents 1 and 2).
In the above proposal, it is possible to control the damping valve on the expansion side and the compression side with one solenoid, but it is necessary to take a large stroke of the solenoid to control the two damping valves. Although it is lighter, smaller, and less expensive than a shock absorber that must be provided, the solenoid itself is increased in size, so further reduction in size, weight, and cost reduction are desired.
In addition, when generation of a greater damping force is desired, the thrust of the solenoid must inevitably be increased, and the number of windings of the coil constituting the solenoid must be increased. The solenoid becomes larger, resulting in an increase in weight and cost.
Therefore, the present invention was devised in order to improve the above-described problems, and the object of the present invention is to make variable the damping force on the extension side and the compression side, making it compact and lightweight, and reducing the cost. Another object is to provide a shock absorber capable of generating a high damping force.
In order to achieve the above-described object, the problem-solving means of the present invention is a shock absorber provided with a cylinder, a piston that divides the cylinder into one chamber and the other chamber, and a valve. A first valve body, a second valve seat, a first valve body disposed between the first valve seat and the second valve seat, and a first valve body seated on the second valve seat; And a biasing means for biasing the second valve body toward the second valve seat and biasing the first valve body toward the first valve seat via the second valve body; A first flow path communicating between the valve seat and the second valve seat and the one chamber; a second flow path communicating between the back side of the first valve seat and the other chamber as viewed from the second valve seat; A one-way passage that allows only the flow of fluid from the back side of the second valve seat to the other chamber when viewed from the valve seat, and the biasing means selects the pressure on the high pressure side of the one chamber and the other chamber do it Selection means for the pilot pressure energizing the second valve seat, characterized in that an electromagnetic relief valve for controlling the pilot pressure.
According to the valve and the shock absorber of the present invention, the first valve body and the second valve body in the valve are urged by a single urging means, and the one chamber and the other selected by the selection means The second valve seat is energized with a pilot pressure that introduces a high-pressure side pressure in the chamber, and the pilot pressure is controlled by an electromagnetic relief valve. In addition to being variable, there is no need to output the urging force directly with a solenoid, and even an electromagnetic relief valve is used for the purpose of controlling the pilot pressure. Thus, the shock absorber can be made smaller and lighter, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
In addition, even when a high damping force is generated in the shock absorber, the solenoid is not directly used for urging the first valve body and the second valve body, and the pressure in one chamber and the other chamber is not directly controlled by the solenoid. Therefore, since the differential pressure between the one chamber and the other chamber can be increased without increasing the thrust of the solenoid, there is no increase in the size of the solenoid. There is no worsening.
That is, according to this shock absorber, the damping force on the extension side and the compression side can be varied, and the size and weight can be reduced, thereby reducing the cost.
The present invention will be described below based on the illustrated embodiment. As shown in FIG. 1, the basic structure of the shock absorber in one embodiment includes a cylinder 1, a piston 2 that is a partition member that divides the inside of the cylinder 1 into one chamber R <b> 1 and the other chamber R <b> 2, a valve V, and an
Hereinafter, in detail, as described above, the piston 2 is slidably inserted into the cylinder 1, and the one chamber R1 and the other chamber R2 are partitioned by the piston 2, and the one chamber R1 and the other chamber are separated from each other. The chamber R2 is filled with fluid. The fluid may be water, an aqueous solution or a gas in addition to the hydraulic oil.

On the other hand, the valve V is accommodated in a
Hereinafter, the valve V will be described in detail. The diameter of the
The
This

Further, a cylindrical sliding

The head 16c of the
Further, a
Further, the
Further, the rear end of the
That is, the
Strictly speaking, there is no problem even if the
After assembling the
Further, when the annular valve body 12 that is energized by the
In this case, the
In the valve V configured in this way, when the piston 2 moves to the left in FIG. 1 with respect to the cylinder 1 and the other chamber R2 is compressed, the pressure in the other chamber R2 through the
On the contrary, when the piston 2 moves to the right in FIG. 1 with respect to the cylinder 1 and the one chamber R1 is compressed, the pressure in the one chamber R1 through the one
As described above, the valve V automatically generates a damping force between the
Therefore, in the valve V in the shock absorber according to this embodiment, the selection means for selecting the pressure on the high pressure side of the one chamber R1 and the other chamber R2 and setting it as the pilot pressure for energizing the
The selection means 31 communicates the

As described above, the

In the biasing means S configured as described above, when the shock absorber is extended, the pressure on the other chamber R2 side to be compressed is larger than the pressure on the one chamber R1 side to be expanded, and the check in the other side
That is, the selection means 31 always selects the high pressure side of the one chamber R1 and the other chamber R2, and introduces the high pressure side pressure into the
Subsequently, the pressure introduced into the
As described above, the space C is always in communication with the low pressure side of the one chamber R1 and the other chamber R2 regardless of the direction of operation of the shock absorber, so that the
Further, in the middle of the
In the shock absorber configured as described above, the
Further, even when a high damping force is generated in the shock absorber, a solenoid is not directly used for urging the
Furthermore, since the shock absorber is small and light, the inertial force is reduced when this shock absorber is used as a steering damper, and a good steering feeling can be obtained. Ideal for.
In addition to the valve V described above, a passage that communicates the one chamber R1 and the other chamber R2 may be provided in the piston 2, and a damping valve may be provided in the middle of the passage.
This is the end of the description of the embodiment of the present invention, but the scope of the present invention is of course not limited to the details shown or described.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The present invention can be used for a shock absorber that attenuates vibration of a vibration-controlled object, in addition to a vehicle steering damper.
