Description
Claims (6)
- 複数(n個:ここで、nは正の整数)の電極シートの少なくとも一面に複数のキャパシタのための複数の活物質層を形成して、前記各電極シートに複数の分極性電極を設けるステップと、
前記電極シートのうち前記複数の活物質層のそれぞれの一面に隣接した部分を除去して、各分極性電極に対応する複数のオープン領域を形成するステップと、
隣接した電極シートの複数の活物質層がそれぞれ向い合いながら、その間に分離膜が位置するように、前記分離膜と前記複数の電極シートとを積層することによって、複数の電気二重層セルを有する積層体を形成するステップ(前記電極シートは、積層された手順に従って、2n番目の電極シートと、2n−1番目の電極シートとに区分され、前記2n番目の電極シートに形成された各オープン領域は前記電気二重層セルの第1の角部に連結されるように位置し、前記2n−1番目の電極シートに形成された各オープン領域は前記電気二重層セルの第2の角部に連結されるように位置する)と、
前記積層体を各複数の電気二重層セル単位に切断するステップと、
前記第1及び第2の角部にそれぞれ延長した前記切断された電気二重層セルの第1及び第2の側面に第1及び第2の外部電極を形成するステップとを含み、
前記2n−1番目の電極シートから得られた分極性電極は、前記第1の外部電極に連結され、前記2n番目の電極シートから得られた分極性電極は、前記第2の外部電極に連結されることを特徴とする電気二重層キャパシタの製造方法。 - 前記複数のオープン領域を形成するステップと、前記積層体を形成するステップとの間に、前記複数のオープン領域のそれぞれに絶縁物質を充填して絶縁部を形成するステップをさらに含み、
前記2n番目の電極シートに形成された各絶縁部は、前記電気二重層セルの第1の外部電極と、前記2n番目の電極シートから得られた分極性電極とを電気的に絶縁させ、前記2n−1番目の電極シートに形成された各絶縁部は、前記電気二重層セルの第2の外部電極と、前記2n−1番目の電極シートから得られた分極性電極とを電気的に絶縁させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気二重層キャパシタの製造方法。 - 前記分極性電極は、3個以上であり、
前記積層体の内部に位置した電極シートの活物質層は、その電極シートの両面にそれぞれ形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の電気二重層キャパシタの製造方法。 - 前記積層体の外部表面に位置した電極シートの活物質層は、その電極シートの一面のみに形成されたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電気二重層キャパシタの製造方法。
- 前記切断するステップは、前記各分極性電極と前記各分離膜とが前記電気二重層セルの側面のうち前記第1及び第2の側面を除いた他の側面に露出するように前記積層体を切断するステップであることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の電気二重層キャパシタの製造方法。
- 前記切断された電気二重層セルは、直方体構造であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の電気二重層キャパシタの製造方法。
