Description
The present invention relates to a sheet forming apparatus that forms a sheet (film) with a roll.
In the field of liquid crystal display devices (LCD) and other display devices, optical function films or sheets having various optical functions are used (hereinafter simply referred to as optical function sheets). Examples of optical function sheets include, for example, a light guide plate for guiding illumination light to the screen using a fine V-groove structure formed on the surface as a light path, and improved screen brightness by using a V-groove structure and a prism structure. And a brightness enhancement film.
As a method for producing such an optical function sheet, a method of forming a fine structure at the same time as forming a sheet having a small area by injection molding has been used. And the thing of the large area has used the manufacturing method which mold-transfers a fine structure with a press etc., after pinching | interposing with two rolls and shape | molding a sheet | seat. However, from the viewpoint of manufacturing cost reduction, there has been a demand for transferring a fine structure in a large area at the same time as a sheet molding or in a series of steps. Therefore, as shown in
However, the optical function sheet is required to be a V-groove having a high aspect ratio with a groove pitch of 50 μm and a depth of about 70 μm, for example. In order to form such a V-groove into the optical function sheet, it is necessary that the molded body is sufficiently pushed into the fine structure on the main roll. However, as shown in FIG. 5, when the molded body 4 touches the
On the other hand, Patent Document 2 proposes that the main roll includes a heat insulating layer on the inner side where the fine structure is formed. According to Patent Document 2, it is suggested that the molded body is sufficiently pushed into the microstructure on the main roll because the heat insulating layer prevents a rapid temperature drop of the molten resin that is the molded body. Yes.
In general, a ceramic having a lower thermal conductivity than a metal is used in terms of a heat insulating effect. Therefore, also in patent document 2, ceramics, such as a silicon oxide and a zirconium oxide, are proposed as a heat insulation layer. However, the adhesion strength at the interface between ceramic and metal is generally weak. In addition, there are significant differences between ceramic and metal in other physical property values such as coefficient of thermal expansion and rigidity. Therefore, in a roll whose temperature and pressure constantly change, durability may be inferior when a ceramic heat insulating layer is combined with a metal rotating body body.
In addition, a metal film that is easy to form a fine structure is used on the outside of the heat insulating layer in view of forming the fine structure. That is, it is desirable to form a metal film (10 μm to 1 mm in Patent Document 2) having a thickness that does not impair the heat insulating effect of the heat insulating layer on the outside of the ceramic heat insulating layer. Here, for forming the metal film, it is conceivable to use a shrink-fitting method in which a metal plate is processed into a sleeve shape, heated and expanded, and mechanically fitted. . Alternatively, it is conceivable to form a metal film directly on the surface of the ceramic heat insulating layer by electroless plating or the like. However, it is considered difficult to obtain high adhesion strength at the interface between the ceramic layer and the metal film. That is, the possibility that the metal film peels from the heat insulating layer made of ceramic cannot be denied, and the durability may be inferior.
The present invention has been made in order to solve such problems, and in a sheet forming apparatus for a molded body using a roll, the durability is improved even when a microstructure is formed on the surface of the roll. An object of the present invention is to provide a sheet forming apparatus that is high and can transfer a fine structure of a surface shape of a roll with high accuracy and can easily peel off a molded body from the roll.
The present invention provides a sheet forming apparatus that includes two rolls (a main roll and a sub roll) and passes the object to be formed between the rolls (between the main roll and the sub roll) to form a sheet. At least one of the rolls (main roll and sub roll) (main roll) is a metal rotating body main body (main rotating body main body) whose temperature is lower than the glass transition temperature Tg of the molded body. The first metal film having a lower thermal conductivity than the rotating body main body (main rotating body main body) covering the outer periphery of the rotating body main body (main rotating body main body) solves the above problem. is there.
The present invention reviews the use of ceramic, which has absolutely low thermal conductivity, and is naturally considered to be used as a heat insulating material, and heat to the rotating body (main rotating body) to prevent the temperature of the molded body from decreasing. From the original physical point of view of preventing the diffusion of heat, it is generally necessary to have a thermal insulation effect by focusing on having a relative difference in thermal conductivity with the rotating body (main rotating body) A conceivable metal (first metal film) is employed to obtain a heat insulating effect. For this reason, since both the rotator main body (main rotator main body) and the first metal film are made of metal, the interface has a high affinity and a high adhesion strength can be obtained. Furthermore, since metal is used compared with the case where ceramic is used, high durability can be obtained.
Here, since the first metal film has lower thermal conductivity than the rotating body (main rotating body), heat insulation reduces the amount of heat transferred from the molded body to the rotating body (main rotating body). Has an effect. For this reason, the rapid temperature fall of the to-be-molded body surface can be prevented. The rotating body (main rotating body) has a temperature higher than the thermal conductivity of the first metal film and a temperature lower than the glass transition temperature Tg of the molded body (including the same temperature). Has been. For this reason, the heat of a to-be-molded body can be transmitted to a rotary body main body (main rotary body main body) and diffused after sheet molding. That is, when the molded body is formed into a sheet by two rolls (main roll and secondary roll), the temperature of the molded body is lowered to a temperature lower than the glass transition temperature Tg to stabilize the shape. Thus, it is possible to prevent troubles in peeling from the roll (main roll) of the molded body. Here, when the fine structure is formed on the first metal film, since the adhesion strength of the first metal film to the rotating body (main rotating body) is high, the risk of pattern peeling of the fine structure can be reduced, The durability of the microstructure is high. That is, the life of the fine structure is long, the molded object is sufficiently pushed into the fine structure, the fine structure is transferred with high accuracy, and the molded object can be peeled off from the roll (main roll). Note that the above series of effects has a corresponding effect on smooth sheet forming when the microstructure of the first metal film is not engraved.
In addition, because of the heat insulation effect of the first metal film, it is possible to prevent a rapid decrease in temperature of the molded body, so that the internal temperature of the roll (main roll) is lowered and the rotational speed is increased so that the molded body is in sheet form It can also be formed into. In this case, the sheet can be formed with higher productivity.
In the case where a second metal film is further provided on the outer periphery of the first metal film, the second metal film is more aimed while obtaining the above-described effects obtained only by the first metal film. An optimum microstructure (including the smoothness of the surfaces constituting the microstructure) can be formed. Such an effect has a corresponding effect even for smooth sheet forming in the case where the fine structure is not engraved on the surface of the second metal film.
When the first metal film is formed of a titanium alloy, since the titanium alloy has a thermal conductivity of about 7.5 W / m ° C. in a bulk state, the rotating body (main rotating body) has many Metal materials can be used. In particular, stainless steel (having a thermal conductivity of about 16 W / m ° C.) that is inexpensive and widely used can be used. When a titanium alloy is formed by thermal spraying, the sprayed titanium alloy causes strong mechanical engagement at the interface with the rotating body (main rotating body) due to the high collision energy during spraying. . For this reason, a large adhesion strength can be obtained between the rotating body (main rotating body) and the first metal film. At the same time, by thermal spraying, the titanium alloy becomes a porous state, the thermal conductivity of the first metal film is further reduced, and the heat insulation effect can be increased. In addition, by using thermal spraying, it is possible to uniformly form a large area in a lump, and in that case, there is no problem such as waste liquid.
When the second metal film is formed by electroplating, a large adhesion strength can be obtained at the interface between the first metal film and the second metal film by using the first metal film as an electrode. At the same time, the second metal film can be uniformly plated over a large area. Therefore, it is possible to smooth the surface of the obtained second metal film.
Even when the second metal film is formed by thermal spraying, a high adhesion strength can be obtained at the interface between the first metal film and the second metal film as described above. Further, the metal of the second metal film can be an optimum material that does not depend on the first metal film. At the same time, the second metal film can be uniformly formed in a large area.
According to the present invention, in a sheet forming apparatus for a molded body using a roll, the sheet molding is highly durable, can transfer the surface shape of the roll with high accuracy, and can easily peel the molded body from the roll. An apparatus can be provided.
Hereinafter, an example of an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

First, a schematic configuration of the sheet resin sealing device according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
The sheet forming apparatus 100 includes a
Each component will be described in detail below.
As shown in FIG. 1, the molded
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
Here, thermal spraying means melting or softening a film-forming material by heating, accelerating it into fine particles, causing it to collide with the surface of the film formation target, and solidifying and depositing the finely crushed fine particles by the collision energy. This is a kind of technique for forming a film on the surface of an object to be formed. For this reason, film formation by thermal spraying is much faster than other film formation methods. Further, since the mechanical contact with the surface of the film formation target is made by the collision energy, the adhesion strength is high. Furthermore, it is applicable to a large area. Since thermal spraying is a dry process, in principle there is no generation of waste liquid or toxic gas.
As described above, the titanium alloy of the
The
As the
The sub roll 120 is disposed opposite to the
Next, the operation of the sheet forming apparatus 100 will be described below with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a calculation example based on a fictitious molding condition that schematically represents the heat insulating effect of the

As described above, since the
And after the to-
As described above, since the
Here, since the main rotator
At the same time, since the
Furthermore, since the
Here, a fine structure is formed on the
In addition, if the thermal spray layer of a titanium alloy is used as the
As described above, in the sheet forming apparatus 100 of the molded
Next, a schematic configuration of the sheet forming apparatus according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
As shown in FIG. 4, the
As shown in FIG. 4, the
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the above embodiment, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. That is, it goes without saying that improvements and design changes can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
For example, in the above embodiment, the fine structure is formed on the
Moreover, in the said embodiment, although the
Moreover, in the said embodiment, although Ti-6Al-4V was used as a titanium alloy, this invention is not limited to this. For example, as another titanium alloy, Pd (palladium), Sn (tin), Cr (chromium), or the like may be added. In addition to forming the titanium alloy by thermal spraying, other metal films (such as stainless steel) may be formed by other methods. In short, it is only necessary that a metal film having a low thermal conductivity can be formed as the first metal film.
Moreover, in the said embodiment, although the
Moreover, in the said embodiment, although the main rotary body
Further, in the above embodiment, it has been described that the transferability can be improved by the heat insulating effect of the
