Description
The present invention relates to a non-contact identification device that performs non-contact communication with a counterpart device and a non-contact identification system using the non-contact identification device.
In recent years, by using a thin non-contact identification device that can be carried by a user, an automatic ticket checker by transmitting identification information from the non-contact identification device to a reader device (partner device) by non-contact communication (wireless communication) Non-contact identification systems that determine whether or not a gate can pass are widespread. In this non-contact identification system, it is common to adopt a passive RF tag (passive tag) system in which a non-contact identification device has a function of transmitting using the power of a carrier wave transmitted from a reader device. Therefore, the communicable distance is relatively short, and an act of holding the non-contact identification device over the reader device is required.
In contrast, the non-contact identification device itself has a battery as a power source, and the non-contact identification device has an active RF tag (active tag) system that receives data from the battery and transmits data. It has also been proposed to improve convenience. That is, in the non-contact identification device having its own power supply, the communication distance with the reader device can be increased (for example, 10 m) as compared with the passive RF tag method. This eliminates the need to hold the non-contact identification device over the reader device, and communication between the reader device and the non-contact identification device is possible only when the user who carries (carries) the non-contact identification device approaches the reader device. Become.
However, when the non-contact identification device is equipped with a primary battery, there is a disadvantage that maintenance such as battery replacement is required periodically. About this point, it is thought that it can improve by using the solar cell which converts light energy into electric energy as a power supply (for example, refer to patent documents 1).
However, it is difficult to cover the driving power of the non-contact identification device with only the solar cell in the use form of the non-contact identification device that is generally spread like the above-described non-contact identification system. The main reason is that the solar cell does not have a photoelectric conversion capability sufficient to generate sufficient power in the use environment of the contactless identification device.
That is, the above-described contactless identification device is often used indoors (indoors), and the light incident on the solar cell is not mainly sunlight but indoor light from fluorescent lamps and the like in many cases. As a solar cell, it is considered to use a general crystalline silicon solar cell, a polycrystalline silicon solar cell, or a compound semiconductor solar cell. These solar cells exhibit sufficient power generation capacity (that is, photoelectric conversion capacity) under sunlight, but may exhibit sufficient power generation capacity under room light that has lower illuminance than sunlight. As a result, there is a problem that sufficient power cannot be obtained simply to cover the driving power of the contactless identification device.
Although it is conceivable to increase the power generation amount of the solar cell by increasing the size of the solar cell, the size of the non-contact identification device is limited in consideration of having the user carry the non-contact identification device. The size of the battery is also limited, and it is difficult to increase the amount of power generation enough to cover the driving power of the non-contact identification device by increasing the size of the solar cell.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned reasons, and can use non-contact identification that can provide driving power only with a solar cell in a low-light environment such as indoors while using a limited-sized solar cell. An object is to provide a device and a contactless identification system using the device.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the information holding unit that carries the identification information, the communication function unit that transmits the identification information to the counterpart device by performing contactless communication with the counterpart device, and light is received. in a power supply unit for supplying drive power to at least the communication function unit includes a solar cell for generating electric power, solar cells using a dye as a material having a sensitizing action, electron transportation section the dye is supported Dye electrode sensitizing having a working electrode to which a semiconductor functioning as an electrode is attached, a counter electrode opposed to the semiconductor, and an electrolyte layer filled between the working electrode and the counter electrode and functioning as a hole transporting portion a solar cell, the electrolyte layer includes at least iodine using gamma-butyrolactone as a solvent, oxidant I 3 for transporting the charge in the electrolyte layer - the concentration is greater than 0mol / dm 3 0.02mo / Wherein the dm 3 is within the range.
According to this configuration, since the solar cell included in the power supply unit that supplies driving power to the communication function unit includes a substance having an sensitizing action, an electron transport unit, and a hole transport unit, the solar cell is generally used as a solar cell. Compared with the case of using a typical crystalline silicon solar cell, the amount of power generation in a low-light environment such as indoors increases. Therefore, even when there are many opportunities to use a non-contact identification device indoors, it is possible to cover the driving power with only a solar cell while using a limited size solar cell, and maintenance such as battery replacement becomes unnecessary. .
Further , according to this configuration, it is possible to keep the manufacturing cost of the solar cell low compared to the case where a general crystalline silicon solar cell is used as the solar cell.
Furthermore, according to this configuration, since the concentration of the oxidant I 3 − contained in the electrolyte layer is lowered, it is possible to prevent the electrolyte layer from absorbing light in the visible light region, resulting from light absorption by the electrolyte layer. The reduction in power generation efficiency of the solar cell can be suppressed. Accordingly, it is possible to further increase the power generation amount in a low illumination environment.
The invention of
According to this configuration, by displaying, for example, the user's name on the display plate, the non-contact identification device can also be used as a name tag. Moreover, compared with the case where a solar cell and a display plate are arranged side by side in the same plane orthogonal to the thickness direction, each surface area of a solar cell and a display plate can be ensured large. Therefore, there is an advantage that the visibility of the display plate can be enhanced while improving the power generation amount of the solar cell. The display plate is composed of a printed material on which information to be displayed is printed, or a display device such as a liquid crystal or an electrochromic display.

Furthermore, compared to the case where the solar cell is located behind the display plate, the light irradiation rate to the solar cell is increased by the amount of light loss when passing through the display plate, thereby further improving the power generation amount. Can be planned. The display plate is composed of a printed material on which information to be displayed is printed, or a display device such as a liquid crystal or an electrochromic display.
The invention of
According to this configuration, since the non-contact identification device includes the power supply unit, the communication distance between the non-contact identification device and the reader device is increased compared to the case where the non-contact identification device itself has no power source. be able to. Therefore, it is possible to read the identification information of the non-contact identification device by the reader device without the user holding the non-contact identification device over the reader device only by the user holding the non-contact identification device approaching the reader device. Will improve. Moreover, since solar cells that generate a large amount of electricity in low-light environments such as indoors are used, even when there are many opportunities to use non-contact identification devices indoors, solar cells of limited size can be used. Although it is used, the driving power can be covered only by the solar battery, and maintenance such as battery replacement becomes unnecessary.

The thin non-contact identification device described in the following embodiment communicates with a dedicated reader device (partner device), and receives a radio wave transmitted from the reader device. Returns information as data. This non-contact identification device is used in a non-contact identification system that performs personal authentication by non-contact communication with a reader device in an entrance door, an automatic door, an automatic ticket gate or the like of a building, for example. That is, the non-contact identification device is equipped with an information holding unit storing identification information (ID) for identifying each individual (owner of the non-contact identification device), and is installed at the entrance of the room. The identification information is transmitted to the reader device during communication with the reader device. Therefore, if the non-contact identification system is used, room entry / exit management and the like can be performed simply by having the user possess a non-contact identification device.
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
Further, in the
By the way, the
A substance with a sensitizing action has the function of distributing electrons (negative charge) and holes (positive charge) to different substances by absorbing light, which is the cause of the development of the photoelectric conversion effect. Become. Here, a material part that receives electrons from a substance having a sensitizing action is an electron transport part, and a material part that receives holes from a substance having a sensitizing action is a hole transport part.
Furthermore, the substance which has a sensitizing effect | action, an electron transport part, and a hole transport part is demonstrated in detail below by showing a specific example.

Moreover, as a positive hole transport part, a pair of oxidation-reduction type | system | group constituent material which consists of an oxidant and a reductant should just be contained in the solvent, and the kind is not specifically limited. The oxidation-reduction system constituent material in the present embodiment refers to a pair of substances that reversibly exist in the form of an oxidant and a reductant in an oxidation-reduction reaction. Here, an oxidant refers to an electrolyte in an oxidized state (for example, I 3 − ), and a reductant refers to an electrolyte in a reduced state (for example, I − ). In addition, examples of the hole transport portion include p-type semiconductors such as copper iodide, amine derivatives such as triphenylamine, conductive polymers such as polyacetylene, polyaniline, and polythiophene, and p-type organic materials.
Examples of the
As shown in FIG. 2, the dye-sensitized
According to this configuration, the light in the visible light region irradiated on the
In addition, the dye-sensitized
Here, it is preferable to employ a Ru complex as the dye. Further, it is more desirable to use a highly hydrophobic dye such as K19 shown in FIG. 3, K77 shown in FIG. 4, Z907 shown in FIG. In other words, if the hydrophobicity is high, the approach of water is prevented and the elimination of the pigment due to hydrolysis is suppressed, so that the durability can be improved.
The concentration of the oxidant I 3 − contained in the
The lower limit of the concentration of the oxidant I 3 − is not particularly limited as long as it exceeds 0 mol / dm 3 , but is usually preferably 10 × 10 −9 mol / dm 3 . 10 × 10 −9 mol / dm 3 does not add a source of oxidant I 3 − (for example, iodine I 2 ) to a solvent or the like, but only a source of reductant I − (for example, an iodide salt). This is the concentration of oxidant I 3 − detected when the

( Example 2 )
The
Since the
By the way, regarding the
That is, in the crystalline silicon solar battery of Comparative Example 1, the power consumption of 1.8 mWh of the
By the way, since the
Therefore, in the present embodiment, sufficient light irradiation to the
That is, the
Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the
Here, in the configuration in which the
Further, by using a dye-sensitized solar cell as the
The
Thus, the
In the
Below, the specific example of the non-contact identification system using the
That is, the
The
Next, an operation example of the above-described non-contact identification system is shown.
The
When the user who has the
The
When the RF transmission /
Thus, the
