- 主要設備(102)に結合され、前記主要設備からフィールド信号を受信するように構成された第1のブリック(104)と、前記主要設備(102)に冗長的に結合され、前記主要設備からフィールド信号を受信するように構成された第2のブリック(104)とを含む入出力インターフェース装置と、
前記第1及び第2のブリックからデジタル化された前記フィールド信号であるデジタルフィールドデータを受信するように構成されたインテリジェント電子装置(「IED」)(190)と、
前記第1及び第2のブリック及び前記IEDに結合され、前記第1及び第2のブリックからの前記デジタルフィールドデータを前記IEDの選択された1つにルーティングするように構成されたパッチパネル(130)と、
前記第1及び第2のブリックの各々を前記パッチパネルに独立して結合する第1の通信リンク(180)と、
前記パッチパネルを前記IEDに独立して結合する第2の通信リンク(170)と
