Description
The present invention relates to a battery connection monitoring device for monitoring, for example, whether or not a battery mounted on a vehicle has been removed.
On the other hand, with regard to vehicles, in recent years, electric and electronic devices such as ECUs (Electronic control units), power window motors, audio, navigation systems, seats with seated memory for memory, seat skid prevention devices, and security systems In addition to mounting various electrical components such as, etc., a backup battery that can always supply power even when the battery is removed is attached so that the setting information of these electrical components is not erased when the battery is replaced.
Further, in order to more accurately determine the state of the vehicle, the battery is provided with a battery state monitoring device. Unlike the conventional battery current detection device that detects only the current of the battery, the battery status monitoring device measures and stores the battery current, voltage, and impedance, and acquires the trend (history) of the battery status. And more accurate battery status.
And by installing a backup battery when replacing the battery, the power supply to each electrical component can be supplied to each electrical device via the connection terminal from the backup battery to the battery without instantaneously interrupting the power supply to each electrical component. Yes. As a result, when the battery is replaced, the power is supplied to the battery diagnosis device without being cut off via the connection terminal.
Therefore, the memory regarding the battery state trend stored in the battery state detection device remains as it is, and the battery state before replacement is stored even after battery replacement. As a result, the state of a new battery associated with the replacement of the battery cannot be correctly and continuously diagnosed by this battery diagnostic device.
The disadvantages of the prior art will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 15 is a block diagram of an electric system for explaining a conventional battery
Here, FIG. 16 is a block diagram of an electrical system for explaining the conventional battery
When this battery is replaced, as shown in FIG. 16, a

Battery,
A connection terminal detachably electrically connected to the battery;

The contact terminal is also in contact with the electrode of the battery when tightened, and the contact terminal is spaced apart from the electrode of the battery when the tightening portion of the connection terminal is loosened from the electrode of the battery,
The insulator is interposed between one contact portion of the connection terminal and the contact terminal,
The battery connection detection means electrically insulates between the contact terminal and the one tightening portion of the connection terminal via the insulator when the battery is replaced, and the other tightening portion of the connection terminal and the contact terminal The contact terminals are separated from each other by a predetermined distance, whereby the power supply to the battery state monitoring device is cut off from the backup battery that supplies power to the device equipped with the volatile memory .
According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the battery connection detecting means is provided, the battery state monitoring device electrically connected to the connection terminal when the battery is replaced is supplied with power from the backup battery via the connection terminal. Even when the battery is supplied, the battery state monitoring device can be notified via the battery connection detection means that the battery has been removed. As a result, the battery information stored by the battery state monitoring device can be initialized (erased) as necessary.
Further , since the battery connection detection means has such a configuration, it is possible to reliably detect that the connection terminal is not correctly connected to the electrode of the battery with a simple configuration, and when the battery is removed, the backup battery The power supply to the battery state monitoring device can be cut off via the connection detection means without supplying power from the power supply.
According to the battery connection monitoring apparatus of the present invention, information on battery replacement can be reliably transmitted to the battery state monitoring apparatus along with battery replacement.
Hereinafter, a battery connection monitoring device according to each embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. First, a battery connection monitoring apparatus according to a first reference embodiment of the present invention will be described. Figure 1 is a block diagram showing a
The battery
The
Further, the battery
Further, the power supply voltages of the
Here, the
When the
When the
By connecting the
As a modification of the first reference embodiment described above, a pressure-
Figure 8 is a view corresponding to FIG. 5 and FIG. 7 shows a first modification of the
Specifically, the pressure-
With such a configuration, when the
Next, a battery
Figure 9 is a perspective view showing the
As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the battery
Specifically, the
On the other hand, when the
The following describes the connection supervisor 3 battery according to implementation embodiments of the present invention. In addition, about the structure equivalent to the battery
11, the connection supervisor 3 battery according to implementation embodiments of the present invention, is a plan view showing a mechanical configuration of a case where the connection terminal 30 to the
In the present embodiment, the battery
When the connection terminal 30 is fastened to a predetermined position of the
When the connection terminal 30 is removed from the
By such a configuration, the power supply to the battery
According to the battery connection monitoring device 3 according to the present embodiment, the power supply voltage from the
When the battery replacement is completed and the state returns to the state of FIG. 11 again, the power supply to the battery
As described above, according to the present invention, the battery connection detection unit described above is used to back up the battery state monitoring device electrically connected to the connection terminal when the battery is replaced via the connection terminal. Even when power is supplied from the battery, it is possible to notify the battery state monitoring device via the battery connection detection unit that the battery has been removed. As a result, the battery information stored by the battery state monitoring device can be initialized (erased) as necessary.
In this case, the battery connection detection unit may be provided on the connection terminal side or may be provided on the battery side.
In addition, when the connection terminal is not correctly connected to the electrode of the battery, the battery connection detection unit transmits the detection signal to the battery state monitoring device instead of transmitting the detection signal to the battery state monitoring device. The power supply may be cut off.
