Description
The present invention relates to an electric double layer capacitor used for various electronic devices, electric devices, portable devices and the like.
An electric double layer capacitor uses electric energy accumulated in an electric double layer formed at the interface between a polarizable electrode and a driving electrolyte, and such an electric double layer capacitor can be reduced in size. Moreover, as a capacitor capable of charging a large capacity, it is widely used for microcomputers, memories, timer backups, various power supply assists, and the like.

Since the conventional electric double layer capacitor configured in this way can form a large capacity capacitor by connecting a plurality of cells in parallel, it is square and excellent in volumetric efficiency and has an electric resistance at each connection portion. The small ones could be realized.
However, although the conventional electric double layer capacitor has the characteristics of excellent volume efficiency and low electric resistance, it is difficult to assemble because of the complicated structure, and it is difficult to realize high dimensional accuracy. However, there is a problem that the cost cannot be reduced.
In addition, there is a problem that further reduction in resistance and height are required due to a request from the equipment used.
The present invention solves such a conventional problem, and improves the workability and dimensional accuracy with a simple structure, thereby realizing cost reduction and further reduction in resistance and height. An object of the present invention is to provide an electric double layer capacitor.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention comprises an anode electrode and a cathode electrode in which a polarizable electrode layer is partially formed, and an element in which a plurality of layers are stacked with a separator interposed between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode , the opposite to the end surface respectively exposed was the anode electrode and the cathode electrode on which is parallel to the laminating direction of the element, the anode terminal and the cathode terminal at least part of which is joined,
With at least partially exposed in the anode terminal and the cathode terminal, in the electric double layer capacitor comprising an exterior resin that seals the element, and the polarizable electrode layer of the anode electrode and the cathode electrode, the The element is provided so as to overlap in the stacking direction via a separator, and the element is provided with the cathode electrode on which the polarization electrode layer is not formed on the uppermost surface and the lowermost surface, and the cathode terminal is disposed outward. The U-shaped inner surface is formed with a protruding connecting portion, and the inner surface of the U-shape is bonded to the cathode electrode exposed on the end face of the element and sandwiches the stacked polarizable electrodes. The uppermost and lowermost cathode electrodes are joined to each other.
As described above, the electric double layer capacitor according to the present invention has a structure in which an anode terminal and a cathode terminal are joined to each electrode exposed on opposite end faces of an element in which a plurality of layers of an anode electrode and a cathode electrode are laminated via a separator. The simple structure improves the workability and the dimensional accuracy, thereby realizing a reduction in cost, as well as an effect that a reduction in resistance and a reduction in height can be achieved.
Furthermore, since the cathode electrode area is larger than the anode electrode area due to the configuration in which the cathode electrodes are arranged at the uppermost and lowermost stages of the device, the corrosion reaction occurring at the local part of the anode electrode is suppressed and stabilized. The effect that it becomes possible to exhibit the performance which it did is obtained.
(Embodiment 1)
Hereinafter, the inventions described in the first to fifth and seventh aspects of the present invention will be described using the first embodiment.
1 is a cross-sectional view showing the structure of an electric double layer capacitor according to
1 to 3,
In addition, as a method of manufacturing the
The
The
When the anode current collecting
Further, the anode current collecting
In addition, the above cold spray is, for example, a system technology development research study 16-R-17 “Survey research report on innovative member creation using high-speed particle collision” issued by the Japan Mechanical Systems Promotion Association in March 2005. -Summary- "of 3. Summary of research results,
In addition, since the cold spray preferably uses zinc or brass which is a material having a corrosion potential close to that of aluminum which is a material constituting the

8 is a cathode terminal joined to the cathode

Moreover, as said drive electrolyte solution, propylene carbonate, (gamma) -butyrolactone, ethylene carbonate, a sulfolane, acetonitrile, a dimethyl carbonate, diethyl carbonate, or a methyl ethyl carbonate, 1 type, or a mixture of 2 or more types is used. be able to. As the electrolyte cation, quaternary ammonium, quaternary phosphonium, imidazolium salt can be used, and as the electrolyte anion, BF 4 − , PF 6 − , ClO 4 − , CF 3 SO 3 − or N (CF 3 SO 2) 2 - in which can be used.

The electric double layer capacitor according to the present embodiment configured as described above has an anode current collector on each electrode exposed on the opposite end face of the
