Description
The present invention relates to an electromagnetic relay.
Conventionally, as an electromagnetic relay, an electromagnetic block formed by winding a coil around an iron core via a spool is excited and demagnetized to rotate a movable iron piece that is rotatably supported by a yoke crimped to the iron core. It is known that a movable contact is opened and closed with a fixed contact of a fixed contact piece arranged opposite to the contact piece by driving the contact piece (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In this electromagnetic relay, a permanent magnet is arranged above the contact opening / closing part and a magnetic field is generated between the contacts, so that when an arc current is generated at the time of contact opening / closing, the arc current is extended to the side. The arc is extinguished early.
However, in the conventional electromagnetic relay, a magnetic field is generated by a single permanent magnet disposed above the contact switching part. The magnetic field generated downward from the N pole on the lower side of the permanent magnet is directed from the contact to the side, then upward along each contact piece, and reaches the S pole on the upper side. For this reason, there exists a problem that magnetic flux tends to leak to surrounding space and cannot concentrate on a contact opening-and-closing part. As a result, a permanent magnet that can exert a strong magnetic force is required, resulting in an increase in cost.
Then, this invention makes it a subject to provide the electromagnetic relay provided with the small and cheap arc arc extinguishing function which can extinguish the arc generated at the time of contact opening and closing at an early stage.
As a means for solving the above problems, the present invention provides:
Electromagnetic relay
A contact opening / closing section having a pair of movable contact pieces and a pair of fixed contact pieces each having a fixed contact facing the movable contact of each movable contact piece so as to be able to contact and separate ;
An electromagnet block that is wound around an iron core via a spool, energized and demagnetized by energizing the coil via a coil terminal, and driving the movable contact piece to open and close the contact;
Arc extinguishing composed of a connecting member formed by connecting opposing walls arranged in a direction perpendicular to the contact / separation direction of the contact via an intermediate portion, and a permanent magnet arranged in an opposing part of the opposing wall Members,
Wherein the said electromagnet block is placed between the contact switching portion, disposed the terminal portions of the contact pieces, a first base portion and the terminal portion of the coil terminals that protrude respectively, to so that is connected to the terminal portion A base block consisting of a connecting portion and a second base portion to which a tab terminal having a terminal portion whose position is changed in accordance with an electrical connection position to another component is attached ;
A case attached to the base block and covering the contact opening / closing part and the electromagnet block;
With
The case can be arranged with the opposing wall of the arc extinguishing member and a permanent magnet, and has a recess on the top surface that does not open in the internal space.
By disposing the arc extinguishing member in the recess of the case, the contact opening / closing part and the electromagnet block are electrically insulated,
It is possible to generate a force for displacing the polarity of the facing surface of each permanent magnet and the direction in which the arc current generated when the contact is opened and closed flows upward in which the intermediate portion of the connection member is disposed in the arc current. It is set as the structure determined as follows.
With this configuration, the magnetic field generated from the permanent magnet forms a closed loop through a connection member having a higher magnetic permeability than that of the surrounding atmosphere. Therefore, the magnetic flux can be concentrated at the contact opening / closing position. As a result, the influence of the magnetic field by the arc extinguishing member can be sufficiently applied to the arc current generated when the contact is opened and closed, and the arc current can be sufficiently extended upward to extinguish the arc early. it can. Further, the arc extinguishing member can be disposed completely insulated from the contact opening / closing portion and the electromagnet block which are internal components. Furthermore, the arc current can be deformed and extinguished to a position where the arc current is most unlikely to be adversely affected. Furthermore, the connection position can be freely set by the tab terminal even if the part composed of other parts is an existing one simply by adding the second base part.
The contact opening / closing section includes a pair of movable contact pieces and a pair of fixed contact pieces provided with fixed contacts that are opposed to each other so that the movable contacts of the movable contact pieces can be contacted and separated.
An intermediate portion of the connecting member is arranged such that the direction of the force acting on the arc current generated when the contact is opened / closed between one of the movable contact pieces and one of the fixed contact pieces by the arc extinguishing member. It is preferable to provide a connection terminal for electrical connection so as to be on the upper side .
With this configuration, the configuration of the electric circuit can be freely changed with a simple configuration simply by adding connection terminals.
Wherein the second base portion of the base block, one of the movable contact piece, preferably Ru fitted with a connection terminal for connecting one of the fixed contact piece.
According to the present invention, the connection member is arranged around the contact opening / closing position, and the permanent magnet is arranged at the opposite portion, so that the magnetic field generated from the permanent magnet is effectively concentrated on the contact opening / closing position. be able to. For this reason, even if an arc current is generated when the contact is opened and closed, the arc current can be deformed upward by a magnetic field and extinguished quickly.

As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the

(1-5. Case 5)
As shown in FIG. 2, the
An
The
The permanent magnets 104 a and 104 b have a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, and are arranged so that the opposing surfaces have different polarities when attached to the inner surfaces of the opposing
The connecting

(2. Assembly method)
Then, the assembly method of the electromagnetic relay which consists of the said structure is demonstrated.

In this state, the bottom surface of the protruding

When the contact opening /
Further, the terminal portion 78b of the fixed

The internal space may be sealed by thermally sealing the
In the electromagnetic relay assembled in this way, the other components except for the second base can be used as they are, with almost no change in the configuration used conventionally. And by providing the
(3. Operation)
Next, the operation of the electromagnetic relay having the above configuration will be described.
In a state where the
When the
When the energization to the
At this time, an arc may occur between the contacts, but since the
That is, as shown in FIG. 11, the magnetic flux generated from the N pole of one permanent magnet 104 a reaches the S pole of the other permanent magnet 104 b and returns to the S pole of one permanent magnet 104 a through the
