Description
Claims (15)
- 画素を持っているエレクトロウェッティングディスプレイ装置のための駆動手段において、
前記駆動手段はデータ書き込み信号より先に、電圧信号を前記画素に印加するように構成され、
前記電圧信号を印加する直前、印加している間、印加した直後において前記画素が同じ光学状態を有するように、前記電圧信号は、フレームの2%から15%である期間及び前記データ書き込み信号の電圧の6分の1よりも小さい電圧レベルを持ち、
前記電圧信号は、前記電圧信号を印加する前の画素の光学状態とは独立していることを特徴とする駆動手段。 - 前記駆動手段はさらに、複数のデータ書き込み信号をフレーム中に前記画素に印加するように構成される請求項1に記載の駆動手段。
- 前記駆動手段はさらに、前記画素が第1のフレームの直後の第2のフレームにおいて同じ光学状態を持つように、前記第1のフレームにおける光学状態を持つ画素に前記電圧信号を印加するように構成される請求項1又は2に記載の駆動手段。
- 前記電圧信号の前記電圧レベルは零ボルトに設定される請求項1に記載の駆動手段。
- 前記電圧信号は、フレームの10%である期間を持つ請求項1に記載の駆動手段。
- 前記駆動手段は、前記フレーム内の前記画素の各々に対し少なくとも1つの電圧信号を印加するように構成される請求項2乃至5の何れか一項に記載の駆動手段。
- 前記駆動手段は、前記画素に前記電圧信号を印加することにより前記フレームを開始させるように構成される請求項1に記載の駆動手段。
- 請求項1乃至7の何れか一項に記載の駆動手段を有するエレクトロウェッティングディスプレイ装置。
- 画素を持っているエレクトロウェッティングディスプレイ装置を駆動するための方法において、
データ書き込み信号より先に、電圧信号を前記画素に印加するステップを有し、
前記電圧信号を印加する直前、印加している間、印加した直後において前記画素が同じ光学状態を有するように、前記電圧信号は、フレームの2%から15%である期間及び前記データ書き込み信号の電圧の6分の1よりも小さい電圧レベルを持ち、
前記電圧信号は、前記電圧信号を印加する前の画素の光学状態とは独立していることを特徴とする方法。 - 複数のデータ書き込み信号をフレーム中に前記画素に印加するステップをさらに有する請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記電圧信号を印加するステップはさらに、前記電圧信号を画素に印加するステップを有し、前記画素は第1のフレームの直後の第2のフレームにおいて同じ光学状態を持つように、前記第1のフレームにおける光学状態を持っている請求項9又は10に記載の方法。
- 前記電圧信号の前記電圧レベルは零ボルトである請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記電圧信号は、フレームの10%である期間を持つ請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記電圧信号を印加するステップは、前記フレーム内の前記画素の各々に対し少なくとも1つの電圧信号を印加するステップを有する請求項9乃至13の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記電圧信号を印加するステップは、前記フレームの最初に前記電圧信号を印加することにより行われる請求項9乃至14の何れか一項に記載の方法。
