Description
The present invention relates to a method for dehydrochlorination of chloroalkanes.
Chloroalkene is important as a raw material or intermediate for producing various products such as agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and CFC substitute materials. For example, 1,1,2,3-tetrachloropropene is an important intermediate in the production of trichloroallyldiisopropylthiocarbamate useful as a herbicide.
As a typical method for producing a chloroalkene, a method is known in which carbon tetrachloride is added to an olefin or chloroolefin to form a chloroalkane, and then the chloroalkane is dehydrochlorinated.
As a dehydrochlorination method, a method is known in which the chloroalkane is treated in an alkaline aqueous solution in the presence of an intercalation catalyst. For example, in Patent Document 1, 1,1,1,3-tetrachloropropane is treated at a temperature of 40 to 80 ° C. in an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution in the presence of a quaternary ammonium salt or a quaternary phosphonium salt. Described is a method for obtaining trichloropropene by dehydrochlorination and separating the aqueous phase from the resulting reaction mixture. The aqueous phase separated here is discarded. However, according to the method described in Patent Document 1, a great deal of labor and cost are required for the treatment of the organic chlorine compound dissolved in the discarded aqueous phase, and sodium hydroxide consumed as an alkali source and intercalation transfer The cost of the catalyst is enormous, and hydrogen chloride, which is desired to be reused as an important resource, is consumed as a sodium hydroxide salt. Furthermore, by using an alkali, the chloroalkene obtained by the method of Patent Document 1 contains water having a normal saturation solubility or more, and the water is purified and separated from the chloroalkene or the target product subjected to further reaction. There is a problem that a process to be performed is required, and improvement is desired.
On the other hand, the chloroalkane dehydrochlorination reaction can also be carried out by heat-treating the chloroalkane in the presence of a catalyst.
For example, Patent Document 2 describes a dehydrochlorination method in which a chloroalkane is heated to 200 to 400 ° C. in the presence of a zeolite catalyst. However, the method described in Patent Document 2 is not practical because it has a low selectivity of the target product and a short catalyst life.
Patent Document 3 describes a dehydrochlorination method in which a chloroalkane is heated to 250 to 550 ° C. in the presence of an activated carbon catalyst. The method described in Patent Document 3 is a method having excellent initial activity and selectivity, but has a problem that the catalyst life is short and the regeneration of the catalyst is impossible. In addition, when dechlorinated water of 1,2-dichloroethane is used using an activated carbon catalyst, if the reaction conversion rate is increased, the catalyst coking occurs and the catalytic activity decreases very rapidly, so the reaction conversion rate must be kept low. Yes, it is inferior in productivity.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a chloroalkane dehydrochlorination method of high conversion, high selectivity, high efficiency, simple and low cost.
CiHjClk (1)
According to the present invention, the above problem of the present invention is as follows.
The following general formula (1)
C i H j Cl k (1 )
(In Formula (1), i is an integer of 2 to 4, j and k are each independently an integer of 1 to 2i + 1, provided that j + k is 2i + 2.)
It is achieved by a method for dehydrochlorinating a chloroalkane, which comprises contacting a compound represented by the formula (I) with a crystalline phosphate mainly composed of crystalline aluminum phosphate in a non-oxidizing atmosphere.
According to the present invention, the dehydrochlorination reaction of chloroalkane can be carried out easily and at low cost in the gas phase with high conversion, high selectivity and high efficiency.
<Crystalline phosphate>
The crystalline phosphate used in the present invention is a crystalline phosphate mainly composed of crystalline aluminum phosphate. In the present invention, the crystalline phosphate acts as a catalyst for the dehydrochlorination reaction of chloroalkane.
Crystalline phosphate as a main component the crystalline aluminum phosphate is one containing a crystalline phosphate salt of rare earth as a complex, by this, crystals having a further improved catalytic activity that Do and that can readily prepare sexual phosphate. In this case, the crystalline phosphate in salt, the ratio of the total number of aluminum ions and rare earth ions occupied by aluminum ions, Ru Oh at 80-95 mol%. The crystalline phosphate having such a composition can be represented by the following general formula (2).
αAlPO 4 · (100-α) Ln (PO 4 ) x (2)
(In Formula (2), Ln is a rare earth ion, x is y / 3 (where y is the valence of the rare earth ion), and α is a number from 80 to 95. )
Ln in the general formula (2) is a rare earth ion. All rare earth ions generally have a trivalent valence. In exceptional cases, Eu, Yb and Sm can have a trivalent valence, and Ce, Tb and Pr can have a trivalent valence. In addition to the above, a tetravalent valence can be taken. As the crystalline phosphate used in the present invention, Ln in the above general formula (2) may be any of these, but is preferably a rare earth trivalent ion, such as Ce or La. The trivalent ion is more preferable, and the trivalent ion of Ce is particularly preferable.
The α in the general formula (2), although the number of 80 to 95, preferably a number of 8 5-95.
The crystalline phosphate used in the present invention has crystallinity. This crystallinity can be confirmed by X-ray diffraction. That is, the crystalline phosphate used in the present invention shows sharp peaks at 2θ = 20.5 °, 21.6 ° and 23.2 ° in X-ray diffraction. Further, when the crystalline phosphate contains a rare earth crystalline phosphate, in addition to the above-mentioned peak in X-ray diffraction, it shows a peak derived from the rare earth crystalline phosphate. When the element is Ce, peaks at 2θ = 26.9 °, 28.8 °, and 31.1 ° are observed independently. From this, when the crystalline phosphate contains a rare earth crystalline phosphate, the crystalline phosphate has a portion of AlPO 4 and a portion of Ln (PO 4 ) x separately. It is inferred that they are mixed as crystals.
The crystalline phosphoric acid used in the present invention, BET specific surface area measured by (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) method as adsorbate nitrogen is preferably 10~400m 2 / g, 20~400m 2 / g It is more preferable that By using a crystalline phosphate having a specific surface area in such a range of the catalyst, higher catalytic activity can be obtained, which is preferable.
A method for preparing such a crystalline phosphate is not particularly limited. For example, an aqueous solution containing aluminum nitrate and optionally a rare earth nitrate and phosphoric acid is prepared, and an appropriate alkali such as aqueous ammonia is added thereto. It is possible to use a method in which the precipitate formed by dripping and adjusting the pH of the aqueous solution to about 4 to 9 is recovered and thoroughly washed, and preferably dried and then fired. As the phosphoric acid content in the aqueous solution, it is preferable to add reaction equivalents to the aluminum atoms and rare earth atoms in the aqueous solution.
In the aqueous solution, the ratio of the total weight of components other than water to the total weight of the aqueous solution is preferably about 5 to 40% by weight. The drying can be performed, for example, by a heat treatment at a temperature of 80 to 150 ° C., preferably 100 to 130 ° C., for example, for 1 to 48 hours, preferably 4 to 24 hours. The ambient atmosphere during drying may be in the air. The dried body obtained after drying is preferably pulverized, classified or molded and then subjected to firing. The firing conditions are, for example, 500 to 1,500 ° C., preferably 600 to 1,400 ° C., more preferably 700 to 1,200 ° C., for example, 1 to 50 hours, preferably 2 to 24 hours. Can do. The ambient atmosphere during firing is preferably in the air.
The shape of the crystalline phosphate used in the chloroalkane dehydrochlorination method of the present invention may be any shape, for example, any of powder, plate, column, cylinder, net, lump, etc. The shape can be
<Method for dehydrochlorination of chloroalkane>
The method for dehydrochlorinating a chloroalkane of the present invention is characterized in that the compound represented by the general formula (1) is brought into contact with the crystalline phosphate as described above in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. .
The chloroalkane dehydrochlorination method of the present invention is preferably carried out in the gas phase. This gas phase reaction can be carried out by any of a fixed bed flow method, a fluidized bed flow method, a fixed bed batch method, and a fluidized bed batch method. However, the method of the present invention is excellent in reaction rate and high in a short reaction time. Since a reaction conversion rate can be achieved, the fixed bed flow method or fluidized bed flow method is preferable from the viewpoint of the efficiency of the reaction, but the adoption of the fixed bed batch method or the fluidized bed batch method is also hindered. Absent. Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the method for dehydrochlorinating a chloroalkane of the present invention will be described in detail assuming the use of a fixed bed flow method or a fluidized bed flow method. Of course, the present invention can be applied to a fixed bed batch system or a fluidized bed batch system after making the above changes.
In the chloroalkane dehydrochlorination method of the present invention, as the feed gas supplied to the reactor, only the compound represented by the general formula (1) may be used, or the gas represented by the general formula (1) may be used. A dilution gas may be used with the compound to be prepared.
In the chloroalkane dehydrochlorination method of the present invention, the concentration of the compound represented by the general formula (1) in the supply gas supplied to the reactor is 10 mol% or more based on the total amount of the supply gas. Preferably, it is more preferable to set it as 20-100 mol%, and it is further preferable to set it as 50-100 mol%. If this ratio is less than 10 mol%, it is economically disadvantageous. In general gas phase reactions, if the concentration of reactants in the supply gas is too high, the amount of unreacted substances will increase and the reaction efficiency will deteriorate, or the catalyst will deteriorate prematurely. Since the method of the present invention is excellent in reaction efficiency and the lifetime of the crystalline phosphate as a catalyst is extremely long, the concentration of the compound represented by the general formula (1) in the supply gas is increased. For example, it is possible to use no dilution gas at all.
As the dilution gas contained in the supply gas, it is preferable to use an inert gas, for example, nitrogen, argon, helium, etc. can be preferably used, but nitrogen is particularly used from the viewpoint of the economical efficiency of the dilution gas. Is preferred. Since the method of the present invention is performed in a non-oxidizing atmosphere, the oxygen concentration in the dilution gas is preferably adjusted to 1% or less. Also, if the alkene or chloroalkene obtained by the method of the present invention contains water, an extra purification step needs to be taken into account for its removal. In order to avoid this, it is preferable to adjust the water concentration in the dilution gas to 1,000 ppm or less.
Making the surrounding atmosphere in the contact of the compound represented by the general formula (1) and the crystalline phosphate non-oxidizing atmosphere does not use a dilution gas as a supply gas, or uses a dilution gas. Can be realized by using an inert gas having a low oxygen concentration as described above.
The feed gas is preferably preheated to a suitable temperature before being fed to the reactor. The preheating temperature is preferably 100 ° C. or higher, and more preferably 200 ° C. or higher. The upper limit of the preheating temperature is preferably (T + 100) ° C., more preferably (T + 50) ° C. when the reaction temperature described below is T ° C.
As reaction temperature of the dehydrochlorination method of the chloroalkane of this invention, it is preferable to set it as 200-500 degreeC, and it is more preferable to set it as 200-400 degreeC. The residence time is preferably 0.5 to 10 seconds, and more preferably 0.5 to 5 seconds.
The space velocity (SV value, space velocity) in the chloroalkane dehydrochlorination method of the present invention, that is, the amount of gas supplied per unit volume of the catalyst is preferably 300 to 10,000 hr −1 , preferably 700 to 10 More preferably, 000 hr −1 .
The reaction mixture thus obtained (exhaust gas from the reactor) contains, in addition to hydrogen chloride and a diluent gas (when used), an alkene or chloroalkene converted to the target product with high conversion and high selectivity. Therefore, the reaction mixture obtained by the method of the present invention can be used as a product as it is if the hydrogen chloride and diluent gas contained therein are separated. Further, if desired, purification can be performed thereafter.
Further, the hydrogen chloride separated as described above can be reused for other purposes after being purified by a conventional method. This is an example of the advantage over the prior art using alkali for dehydrochlorination.
<Life of crystalline phosphate and its regeneration>
The lifetime of the crystalline phosphate used in the chloroalkane dehydrochlorination process of the present invention is extremely long. When the dehydrochlorination method for chloroalkane of the present invention is carried out by a fixed bed flow method or a fluidized bed flow method, it is possible to carry out continuous operation for, for example, 100 hours or more, further 200 hours or more. Such a long lifetime of the crystalline phosphate in the present invention is one example of the advantages over the prior art using zeolite catalysts.
In the chloroalkane dehydrochlorination method of the present invention, when the activity of the crystalline phosphate decreases with time, and the activity becomes insufficient, it is regenerated and reused by refiring. can do. The reproducibility of the crystalline phosphate in the present invention is an example of an advantage over the prior art using activated carbon catalysts. The re-baking conditions for regenerating the crystalline phosphate can be performed at a temperature at which carbon on the surface can burn, preferably about 400 to 800 ° C., more preferably about 400 to 600 ° C. Can do.

The recovered liquid and gas were each analyzed by gas chromatography, and the conversion rate and selectivity of the dehydrochlorination reaction were calculated by the following mathematical formulas (i) and (ii).

Example 2
An EDC dehydrochlorination test was conducted in the same manner as in Example 1 except that 4 g of 90AlPO 4 · 10CePO 4 prepared in Preparation Example 2 was used instead of AlPO 4 as a catalyst. The results are shown in Table 1.
Comparative Example 1
A dehydrochlorination test of EDC was conducted in the same manner as in Example 1 using 4 g of commercially available activated carbon (manufactured by Norit Japan, product name “ROX0.8”). Table 1 shows the conversion and selectivity after 3 hours, 24 hours and 168 hours from the start of supply of the feed gas.
Although the activity decreased after 200 hours from the start of supply of the supply gas, the activated carbon was flammable, and thus the regeneration treatment could not be performed.
Comparative Example 2
EDC dehydrochlorination test was conducted in the same manner as in Example 1 using 4 g of commercially available Y-type zeolite (product name “HSZ-320HOA” manufactured by Tosoh Corporation). Since the reduction in the conversion rate after 24 hours from the start of the supply gas was remarkable, the test was stopped at that time.
Comparative Example 3
EDC dehydrochlorination test was conducted in the same manner as in Example 1 using 4 g of commercially available K 3 PO 4 (manufactured by Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.) burned in air at 800 ° C. for 5 hours. Since the conversion rate after 3 hours from the start of supply of the supply gas was extremely low, the test was stopped at that time.
