Description
The present invention relates to a target detection device, a target detection method, and a program executed by a computer. Specifically, the target detection device detects a target using two detection means, a target detection method, And a program for a computer to execute.
Conventionally, one of the on-vehicle radars used in the inter-vehicle distance control device that detects the preceding vehicle and keeps the inter-vehicle distance appropriately, and the inter-vehicle distance alarm device that notifies the driver when the inter-vehicle distance approaches more than necessary. For example, an FMCW radar using a millimeter wave band (hereinafter referred to as “FMCW radar”) is known.
In this FMCW radar, a radar wave modulated so that the frequency linearly increases and decreases in a triangular shape with respect to time is used, and the radar wave transmission signal and the radar wave (reflected wave) reflected on the target are received. Based on the beat signal obtained by mixing the signal, information on the target reflecting the radar wave is obtained.
Specifically, the beat signal is subjected to frequency analysis processing represented by Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for each of the upstream section where the frequency of the radar wave increases and the downstream section where the frequency decreases. The power spectrum for each section is obtained. Then, the peak frequency components extracted from the power spectrum are appropriately combined between the two sections, and the frequency of the combined peak frequency components (hereinafter referred to as “peak pairs”) is applied to a well-known calculation formula in the FMCW radar, The distance and relative speed with the target specified by the peak pair is obtained.
By the way, in the FMCW radar, noise is generated in the low frequency region of the beat signal due to reflection from a close distance by a radome or the like attached to an opening for inputting and outputting radar waves, coupling between transmitting and receiving antennas, and the like. For this reason, if a peak occurs in the region where the low frequency noise occurs (hereinafter referred to as “low frequency region”) NA, it cannot be extracted, and the target that generated the peak cannot be detected. There was a problem.
On the other hand, prediction of information (relative speed, distance, direction) that should be possessed when the target (previous cycle target) is detected even in the current cycle from the recognized target detected in the previous cycle. If a peak that matches the predicted value is detected only in either the up or down section, the frequency of the undetected peak belongs to the low frequency area, or the previous cycle target If the parallel flag is set, it is assumed that the undetected peak is buried in the low frequency region or the peak of another target, and the radar device that sets the extrapolation permission flag for the previous cycle target is known. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).
However, in the above-described conventional technology, the case where the peak frequency component returns from the state where it is buried in the low frequency region is not sufficiently considered.
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and when the peak frequency component returns from a state where it is buried in the low frequency region, it is determined with high accuracy whether or not the peak frequency component is a folded peak frequency component. In addition, constituent elements in the following embodiments include those that can be easily assumed by those skilled in the art or that are substantially the same.

かかる演算部4は、CPU(Central Processing Unit)等を用いて実現される。また、記憶部5は、ROM(Read Only Memory)やRAM(Random Access Memory)等を用いて実現される。
The
このように、物標検出装置1および車両制御装置6は、全体としてACC(自動車間制御装)、PBA(プリクラッシュブレーキアシスト)、PSB(プリクラッシュシートベルト)等のシステムを構成する。
The target information detected by the
同図に示すレーダ2は、連続波に周波数変調を乗じた送信信号を用いるFMCW(Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave)レーダである。
Hereinafter, the two
The
The mixers 14-1 to 14-n obtain a beat signal by mixing a part of the transmission signal with the reception signal that has reached each antenna element. The transmission signal component as a local signal is given to the mixers 14-1 to 14-n. This transmission signal component is given from the voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) 15 to the mixers 14-1 to 14-n via the
The
The
On the other hand, the FM modulated wave output from the
Here, an outline of the detection principle of the FMCW radar will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4 are diagrams showing a change in transmission frequency by a solid line, and a change in the reception frequency reflected from a target at a distance R and having a relative speed of zero by a broken line. More specifically, FIG. 3 is a diagram showing temporal changes in the transmission signal and the reception signal when the relative speed of the target to the host vehicle is zero, and FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the relative speed of the target to the host vehicle being zero. It is the figure which showed the time change of the transmission signal in case it is not, and a received signal. In both figures, the horizontal axis t represents time, and the vertical axis f represents frequency. In these drawings, a modulation signal obtained by frequency-modulating a continuous wave by a triangular wave is used as a transmission signal.
The reception signal when the transmission signal is radiated is a time delay T (T = 2R) corresponding to the distance R from the vehicle to the target with respect to the transmission signal, regardless of the value of the relative speed of the target. / C, c is the speed of light). Thereafter, the center frequency or carrier frequency of the transmitted signal f 0, a frequency shift width [Delta] F, the frequency of the triangular wave and f m.
Further, the received signal causes a frequency shift due to the Doppler effect according to the relative speed of the target (in the case of FIG. 3, this frequency shift does not occur). In FIG. 4, the reception signal frequency is shifted upward in the vertical axis direction so that the reception signal frequency is higher than the transmission signal frequency. This indicates a case where the target approaches the host vehicle. .
fb1=fr−fd…(1)
fb2=fr+fd…(2)
Here, when the relative speed is “0”, the frequency (beat frequency) of the beat signal obtained by mixing the transmission signal and the reception signal is f r , the Doppler frequency indicating the frequency shift due to the Doppler effect is f d , and the frequency If the beat frequency of the section where the frequency increases (up section) is fb 1 and the beat frequency of the section where the frequency decreases (down section) is fb 2 ,
fb 1 = f r −f d (1)
fb 2 = f r + f d (2)
Holds. In the formula (1) and (2), when the relative velocity of the target is zero, the Doppler frequency f d is is "0", and fb 1 = fb 2 = f r ( see Figure 3).
Therefore, by separately measuring the beat frequencies fb 1 and fb 2 in the up and down periods of the modulation cycle, f r and f d are

The complex
The distance power spectrum is obtained separately for each of the up section and the down section for each channel. In each distance power spectrum, peaks appear at locations corresponding to beat frequencies fb 1 and fb 2 on the frequency axis. FIG. 7 is a diagram schematically showing an outline of the peak frequency component of the distance power spectrum obtained when the target approaches the host vehicle. Specifically, the peak P 1 having the smaller frequency is a peak due to the beat frequency fb 1 of the up component, and the peak P 2 having the larger frequency is a peak due to the beat frequency fb 2 of the down component. The two peak frequency components P 1 and P 2 obtained in this way are called “peak pairs”.
In the DBF
One of the advantages of the DBF method is that once the signals of all antenna elements (all receiving channels) are captured as digital signals, beam synthesis can be performed in any direction based on the signals. A plurality of beams can be formed (for details of the DBF method, see, for example, JP-A-11-133142).
By the way, in the FMCW system, noise is generated in a low frequency region of the beat frequency due to reflection from a target located at a close distance and coupling between transmitting and receiving antennas. FIG. 8 is a diagram showing the distance power spectrum Sp of the up component and the down component, and the peak P 1 due to the beat frequency fb 1 that should appear originally is buried in the noise in the low frequency region LA, and the peak is discriminated. It is a figure which shows typically the state which became impossible. As described above, when a peak corresponding to the beat frequency occurs in the low frequency region LA, the beat frequency of the up component is mixed with noise, and the peak cannot be extracted. As a result, the target can be detected. There are cases where it is not possible.
The situation as shown in FIG. 8 is, for example, when the target is approaching the host vehicle with a large value of the relative speed of the target even if spatially separated, that is, the distance to the target with respect to the host vehicle. This may occur when the predicted collision time (TTC) obtained by dividing the target by the relative speed with respect to the host vehicle is short. In other words, even if the distance to the target is short, the situation shown in FIG. 8 does not occur if the relative speed between the target and the host vehicle is “0”.
FIG. 9 is a flowchart for explaining the outline of the processing of the determination unit 41. In the determination unit 41, the situation as shown in FIG. 8, that is, one of the peak pairs (up component peak P 1 or down component peak P 2 ) is buried in the low frequency region LA. It is determined whether or not a situation that can only be extracted has occurred (step S1). If such a situation has occurred ("Yes" in step S1), the PCS extrapolation flag is set to "1" (step S2). ). Thereafter, the
Next, the configuration of the
The
The
In the first embodiment, since the
When comparing the two

In the following description, in view of the detection areas of the radars described above, the target detected by the
FIG. 12 is a diagram schematically showing the results detected by the
なお、より一般には、Tf:Tn=m:n(m<n;mおよびnは正の整数)となるように調整されていればよい。
FIG. 13 is a diagram showing an outline of target information update processing in the target detection method according to the first embodiment. Since the
Of the two types of update timings described above, at the timing when both the long-range millimeter wave target and the short-range millimeter wave target are updated, the fusion processing unit 42 detects the detection region R 2 of the radar 2 and the detection region of the
First, the millimeter wave fusion process will be described. In this millimeter wave fusion process, the contents of the process differ depending on the detection area where the target is detected. FIG. 14 is a diagram illustrating an example of setting such an area. In the figure, the detection area is divided into four areas D 1 to D 4 , and the distance from the own vehicle C 0 is short in the order of D 1 , D 2 , D 3 , D 4 . Needless to say, the overlapping region R 23 shown in FIG. 10 is covered by these four regions. The z coordinates z 1 , z 2 , z 3 , and z 4 of the boundary between adjacent regions are arbitrary, and may be determined according to various conditions, and the number of regions to be divided is not limited to four. .
FIGS. 15A to 15D are diagrams illustrating the rules of the millimeter wave fusion processing in the regions D 1 to D 4 . In these figures, “◯” indicates the case where the target is detected, and “X” indicates the case where the target is not detected. “Δ” indicates a case where a target is detected by the above-described PCS extrapolation. In addition, when detected by extrapolation other than PCS extrapolation, it shall be contained in (circle).
In the first embodiment, since both the
1.|zf−zn|<Δzmax
条件2.|xf−xn|<Δxmax
条件3.|vRf−vRn|<ΔvRmax
Hereinafter, specific contents of the millimeter wave fusion processing will be described. First, when the PCS extrapolation flag of the long-distance millimeter wave target and the PCS extrapolation flag of the short-distance millimeter wave target are both “0”, that is, the long-distance millimeter wave target and the short-distance millimeter wave target are PCS. When it is detected without extrapolation (◯), the determination unit 41 determines that the short-distance millimeter-wave target is the following three conditions for the long-distance millimeter-wave target: | Z f −z n | <Δz max
It is determined whether or not the above is satisfied. Here, Δz max is the maximum longitudinal distance difference evaluation value, Δx max is the maximum lateral distance difference value, and Δv Rmax is the maximum relative relative speed difference value. In Figure 12, contains the short-range millimeter wave object O n the other vehicle C 1 Fusion can region F that satisfies the
When the above three conditions are satisfied, the pattern a of the detection areas D 1 to D 4 is followed. In the first embodiment, the physical quantity (target distance, target lateral position, target relative speed, target relative acceleration) and various flags of a long-distance millimeter wave target are present in any detection region. Are registered as physical quantities and various flags of the fusion millimeter wave target. In this case, information on the short-range millimeter wave target itself is not included in the physical quantity or various flags, but information on the short-range millimeter wave target as a fusion target is registered in the storage unit 5.
H=αZZ+βXX+γVRVR ・・・(7)
By the way, it is assumed that there are a plurality of short-range millimeter wave targets that satisfy the above three conditions. In this case, the
Is defined. Here, Z is a longitudinal distance difference evaluation value, and Z = | z f −z n | / Δz max . X is a left-right distance difference evaluation value, and X = | x f −x n | / Δx max . Further, V R = front-rear relative speed difference evaluation value, and V R = | v Rf −v Rn | / Δv Rmax . alpha Z, beta X, and gamma VR is a constant giving the weights when the sum of Z, X, and V R, the ratio of the three weights are predefined. In addition, when the evaluation value H also agree | coincides, what is necessary is just to employ | adopt the one with the smaller target number (the larger one is possible) provided when registering the short distance millimeter wave target.
Next, at least one of the PCS extrapolation flag of the long-distance millimeter wave target and the PCS extrapolation flag of the short-distance millimeter wave target is “1”, and the short-distance millimeter wave is compared with the long-distance millimeter-wave target. A case where the wave target satisfies the above three conditions will be described (patterns d, e, and f in each region).
In the pattern d (the long-distance millimeter wave target is ◯ and the short-distance millimeter wave target is Δ), the fusion millimeter-wave target is composed of the long-distance millimeter wave target alone in all regions. At this time, the near-field millimeter wave target is not carried over to the subsequent processing and is deleted from the search target.
In case of pattern e (far-distance millimeter wave target is △, short-distance millimeter wave target is ◯) and pattern f (far-distance millimeter wave target is △, short-distance millimeter wave target is △) When the half peak returned from the area burial is not the folding frequency, in the area of D 1 to D 3 , the short distance millimeter wave target alone constitutes the fusion millimeter wave target, and the long distance millimeter wave target continues. while it erases the search target without carried over to the process, in the region of the D 4, the far millimeter wave target alone constitutes a fusion millimeter wave object, carried over to the subsequent processing towards the short-range millimeter wave target Delete it from the search target.
Next, a long-range millimeter wave target and a short-range millimeter wave target that do not satisfy the above three conditions regardless of the PCS extrapolation flag will be described (patterns b, c, g, h, i in each region). First, a long-distance millimeter wave target is detected regardless of the presence or absence of PCS extrapolation (◯ or Δ), and when a short-distance millimeter wave target is not detected (×) (patterns b and c), the long distance immediately before The millimeter wave target is used as a fusion millimeter wave target, and the physical quantities and various flags of the long-distance millimeter wave target are registered as they are.
If the pattern is i (both the long-range millimeter wave target and the short-range millimeter wave target are not detected (×)), it is registered as “no target”.
In the pattern h (a long-distance millimeter wave target is not detected (×) and a short-distance millimeter wave target is detected (◯)), processing differs depending on the region. In the region D1, a fusion millimeter wave target is composed of a short-range millimeter wave target alone. In region D 2, there is target object corresponding to the preceding vehicle, the preceding vehicle constitutes a fusion millimeter wave target at a short distance millimeter wave target alone only when starting, otherwise "no target object" Register as In the areas D 3 and D 4 , “no target” is registered.
Even in the case of the pattern g (a long-distance millimeter wave target is not detected (x) and a short-distance millimeter wave target is detected by PCS extrapolation (Δ)), the processing differs depending on the region. In this case, in the areas D 1 , D 2 , and D 3 , the short distance millimeter wave target alone constitutes a fusion millimeter wave target, while in the area D 4 , it is registered as “no target”.
Next, the short distance millimeter wave update process will be described with reference to FIG. As shown in the figure, short range millimeter wave update process, immediately before (one period T n of minute only before) to take place millimeter wave fusion processing contents and detection of short-range millimeter wave target to be updated this time Processing differs depending on the content.
First, the case where the fusion is performed immediately before, that is, the case where the immediately preceding millimeter-wave fusion process corresponds to one of the patterns a in FIGS. 15-1 to 15-4 will be described (patterns j, k, l). . In this case, since the fusion millimeter wave target inherits the physical quantities and various flags of the long-distance millimeter wave target, only the longitudinal distance z f is estimated according to the detected content of the short-distance millimeter wave target updated this time. ,Update. Various flags hold the previous value, but the new flag is updated to “0” if the value is “1”.
Subsequently, a case where the immediately preceding is not fused will be described. First, the short-distance millimeter wave target is composed of the short-distance millimeter wave target alone (for example, patterns e, f, g, h, etc. in the region D 1 ). When detected (◯ or Δ) (patterns m and n), a new short-range millimeter-wave target is registered in the storage unit 5 as a fusion millimeter-wave target alone. In addition, when the short distance millimeter wave target is configured immediately before and the short distance millimeter wave target is not detected (x) (pattern o), the physical quantity is not updated. In this case, the various flags hold the previous value, but the target lost flag is updated to “0” if the value is “1”.
On the other hand, when the immediately preceding is not fused and the fusion millimeter wave target at that time is composed of a long-distance millimeter wave target alone (patterns b, c, d and regions of the regions D 1 to D 3 ) D 4 of the pattern b, c, d, e, f) is no information to be updated this time in short range millimeter wave target. In this case, only the long-distance longitudinal distance z f is estimated and updated. As a rule, the previous values are held for various flags, but when the value of the new flag is “1”, it is updated to “0”.
Although not shown in FIG. 16, even if the immediately preceding millimeter-wave fusion process is not registered as a target, the “short distance only” condition may be satisfied in FIGS. 15-1 to 15-4. obtain. In this case, the physical quantity and various flags of the short-range millimeter wave target may be registered in the storage unit 5 as the output target.
As described above, when the peak frequency component on one side of the long-range millimeter-wave radar (radar 2) is buried in the low-frequency region in the short-range region that is important in the collision determination of the PSC, the PCS extrapolation flag is set to “1”. In this embodiment, a long-distance millimeter-wave radar buried in a low-frequency region is used to detect a target with high accuracy just before the collision. When one side of the peak frequency component has returned, it is determined whether or not this peak frequency component is a folded peak frequency component based on the detection result of the short-range millimeter wave radar, and based on this determination result, Select the long-range millimeter-wave target detection method (calculation method).
FIG. 17 is a diagram illustrating an example of transmission signals of the long-range millimeter wave radar and the short-range millimeter wave radar. In the figure, the horizontal axis indicates time, and the vertical axis indicates frequency, and shows modulation patterns of transmission signals of the long-distance millimeter-wave radar and the short-distance millimeter-wave radar, respectively.
FIG. 18 is a diagram illustrating a state in which the other vehicle C 1 approaches the host vehicle C 0 . FIG. 19 schematically shows the peak frequency components P 1 and P 2 of the up component and the down component in the distance power spectrum of the received signals of the long-range millimeter-wave radar and the short-range millimeter-wave radar in the situation shown in FIG. FIG. In the figure, (a), (b), and (c) are distance power spectra of received signals of a long-distance millimeter-wave radar, and (d), (e), and (f) are receptions of a short-range millimeter-wave radar. The distance power spectrum of the signal is shown, and (a) and (d), (b) and (e), and (c) and (f) are the same time.
As shown in FIG. 18, when the other vehicle C 1 approaches the own vehicle C 0 from the long distance area to the short distance area, the rules for the millimeter wave fusion processing (FIGS. 15-1 to 15-4) are the rules. b → rule a ((a) and (d) in FIG. 19) → rule e ((b) and (e) in FIG. 19). As shown in FIGS. 19A and 19D, from the state (rule a) in which the peak pair of the peak frequency components P 1 and P 2 of the long-range millimeter wave radar and the short-range millimeter wave radar can be detected. Further, when the other vehicle C 1 approaches the own vehicle C 0 , as shown in FIG. 19B, the peak frequency component P 1 of the up component of the long-range millimeter wave radar cannot be detected due to the low frequency noise. In this case, as described above, the PSC extrapolation flag is turned on for the long-distance millimeter-wave target and the PSC extrapolation is performed (rule e).
Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 19 (c), if the peak frequency components P 1 on one side buried in the low frequency region have been restored, the peak frequency components P 1 of the one side, folding the peak frequency has returned to wrap 0Hz It may be a component, or it may be a normal peak frequency component that has been restored without folding back 0 Hz.
Specifically, when the PCS control timing is just before the collision, the peak frequency component on one side turns back 0 Hz, and from the above formulas (3) to (6), the target that is originally directed toward the vehicle C 0 is It looks as if it has slowed down. The wavy line in FIG. 19C shows the actual peak frequency component P 1 on one side. This is for shifting from a lower frequency to a higher frequency when the peak frequency component is 0 Hz or less. In particular, the larger the relative speed, the more the tendency to shift. On the other hand, the peak frequency component P 1 on one side may return from being buried in the low frequency region without turning back 0 Hz due to sudden deceleration of the target object.
Therefore, the fusion processing portion 42, if the peak frequency components P 1 on one side of the long range millimeter wave radar is buried in the low frequency region, until one side of the peak frequency components P 1 is restored again, the short range millimeter wave radar peak pair Can be detected (see (e) and (f) of FIG. 19), the target information (distance information, relative velocity information, etc.) of the short-range millimeter wave radar is used to detect one side of the long-range millimeter-wave radar. The position of the peak frequency component P 1 is estimated, and the transition of the peak frequency component P 1 on one side of the long-range millimeter wave radar is predicted.
FIG. 20 is a flowchart for explaining an outline of the folding determination process of the fusion processing unit 42. In the figure, it is determined whether or not the peak frequency component P 1 on one side of the long-distance millimeter-wave radar has returned from the low frequency region (step S11). When the peak frequency component P 1 on one side of the long-range millimeter wave radar returns (“Yes” in step S11), the transition of the peak frequency component P 1 ′ on one side predicted from the target information of the short-range millimeter wave radar Based on the situation, it is determined whether or not the peak frequency component is a folded peak frequency component that has returned from the low frequency region burial by turning back 0 Hz (step S12). Specifically, the peak frequency component P 1 on one side that has recovered from the low-frequency region buried (the detection result of the long-range millimeter wave radar) and the long-range millimeter-wave radar predicted from the target information of the short-range millimeter-wave radar. When the peak frequency component P 1 ′ on one side substantially matches, it is determined that the low-frequency component has been recovered without turning back 0 Hz, and when it does not substantially match, it is determined that the peak frequency component is the turned-up peak frequency component.
In the case of the folded frequency component (“Yes” in step S12), target information is generated by performing peak pairing of the long-distance millimeter-wave radar in consideration of the frequency component folded back to 0 Hz (step S13). Specifically, the peak frequency component P 1 ′ on one side of the long-range millimeter wave radar predicted based on the target information of the short-range millimeter wave radar and the other peak frequency component P 2 of the long-range millimeter wave radar are used. Target information is generated by performing peak pairing. That is, the long-distance millimeter-wave target is left in the PCS extrapolation state and a long-distance millimeter-wave target is generated (Rule e).
On the other hand, when it is not the aliasing frequency component but the normal peak frequency component (“No” in step S12), the peak pair of the peak frequency components P 1 and P 2 of the up component and the down component of the long-range millimeter wave radar Ringing is performed to generate target information (step S14). That is, instead of extrapolation, peak pairing of the peak frequency components P 1 and P 2 of the long-range millimeter-wave radar is performed to generate a long-range millimeter-wave target (Rule a).
As described above, according to the present embodiment, a long-distance millimeter-wave radar that performs target detection using a pair of peak frequency components obtained by subjecting a signal detected using the FMCW method to frequency analysis processing. If one of the pair of the peak frequency component of the short-range millimeter-wave radar that detects the target using a method different from that of the long-range millimeter-wave radar and the long-range millimeter-wave radar buried in the low-frequency component returns, the short-range Fusion that determines whether or not the restored peak frequency component is a folded peak frequency component based on the detection result of the millimeter wave radar, and selects a target detection method of the long-range millimeter wave radar based on the determination result Since the processing unit 42 is provided, it is possible to determine with high accuracy whether or not the peak frequency component appearing from the low frequency region is a folded peak frequency component, Before 突寸 becomes possible to perform high-precision target object detection.
Further, according to the present embodiment, the fusion processing unit 42 detects the detection result of the short-range millimeter-wave radar until one of the peak frequency component pairs of the long-range millimeter-wave radar is buried in the low-frequency component and returned. Therefore, if one of the peak frequency component pairs is buried in a low frequency component, the transition of one of the peak frequency component pairs is increased. It is possible to predict with accuracy.
Further, according to the present embodiment, the fusion processing unit 42 does not substantially match the peak frequency component returned from the long-range millimeter-wave radar and the peak frequency component predicted based on the detection result of the short-range millimeter-wave radar. In this case, since it is determined that the restored peak frequency component is a folded peak frequency component, it is possible to improve the determination accuracy of whether or not the peak frequency component appearing from the low frequency region is a folded peak frequency component. Is possible.
In addition, according to the present embodiment, the fusion processing unit 42 is based on the detection result of the short-range millimeter wave radar when the peak frequency component on one side returned by the long-range millimeter-wave radar is the folded peak frequency component. While selecting the target detection method based on the peak frequency component on one side predicted in the above and the other peak frequency component of the long-range millimeter wave radar, if the restored peak frequency component is not a folded peak frequency component, Since the target detection method using a normal peak pair of a long-distance millimeter-wave radar is selected, a highly accurate target detection method depends on whether the restored peak frequency component is a folded peak frequency component or not. Can be selected.
(Embodiment 2)
The configuration of the target detection apparatus according to the second embodiment is the same as the configuration of the
Pfusion=wPf+(1−w)Pn ・・・(8)
Hereinafter, the physical quantity calculation process performed in the millimeter wave fusion process will be described. At this time, the fusion millimeter wave target corresponding to the pattern “a” of each region is determined based on the TTC of the long distance millimeter wave target and the physical quantity of the long distance millimeter wave target and the physical quantity of the short distance millimeter wave target. Fusion by weight. Specifically, when the physical quantity of the long-distance millimeter wave target is P f and the physical quantity of the short-distance millimeter wave target is P n , the physical quantity P fusion of the corresponding fusion millimeter-wave target is the long-distance millimeter wave object. The weight of the target physical quantity P f is w,
P fusion = wP f + (1-w) P n (8)
Is defined. The fusion processing unit 42 of the
FIG. 22 is a diagram illustrating the relationship between the physical quantity weight w of the long-distance millimeter wave target and the predicted collision time (TTC) to the target. The weight curve Lw shown in the figure is 1 when the value of TTC is large, but gradually decreases as TTC approaches 0, and when the TTC is smaller than a predetermined threshold t 0 (> 0), w = 0. In other words, the fusion processing is performed in which the physical quantity of the short-range millimeter wave target is more important as the TTC is smaller. Note that the value of the threshold t 0 may be set as appropriate according to various conditions.
In the second embodiment, regarding various flags, the setting of the flag is switched in accordance with a predetermined rule when configuring the fusion millimeter wave target. This rule may be stored in advance in the storage unit 5 and read as appropriate by the fusion processing unit 42.
Next, the short distance millimeter wave update process will be described. FIG. 23 is a diagram showing an overview of the short-distance millimeter-wave update process in the second embodiment, and corresponds to FIG. 16 described in the first embodiment. The short-distance millimeter-wave update process in the second embodiment is different from the short-distance millimeter-wave update process in the first embodiment in that the immediately preceding is fused and the current short-range millimeter-wave target is detected (◯ ) Or detection by PCS extrapolation (Δ), that is, patterns j and k. In this case, regarding the calculation of the physical quantity, only the long-distance longitudinal distance z f is estimated and updated by using the same weight w as the previous millimeter-wave fusion process update. The short-distance millimeter-wave update process excluding this point is the same as in the first embodiment.
(Embodiment 3)
In the third embodiment of the present invention, when calculating a physical quantity in millimeter wave fusion processing, in addition to a weight based on TTC, a weight corresponding to an extrapolation counter value to be interpolated when a target is temporarily lost is used. The physical quantity of the fusion millimeter wave target is calculated by adding
The target detection apparatus according to the third embodiment has the same configuration as the target detection apparatus according to the first and second embodiments. The target detection method according to the third embodiment is the same as the target detection method according to the second embodiment, except for the physical quantity calculation process of the fusion millimeter wave target described above.
FIG. 24 is a diagram illustrating the relationship between the physical quantity weight of the long-distance millimeter wave target / short-distance millimeter wave target and the number of extrapolations of the corresponding physical quantity. In the figure, there are four weight curves. This is because two types of weight curves corresponding to the TTC range are applied to each of the long-range millimeter wave target and the short-range millimeter wave target. It is. Specifically, the weight curves Lu f1 and Lu f2 are the relationship between the weight of the long-distance millimeter wave target and the number of extrapolations, and the weight curves Lu n1 and Lu n2 are the relationship between the weight of the short-range target and the number of extrapolations. Is shown. Among these, the weight curves Lu f1 and Lu n1 are weight curves in a region where the TTC is relatively large, and the weight curves Lu f2 and Lu n2 are weight curves in a region where the TTC is relatively small.
As is apparent from FIG. 19, the value of the weight u becomes constant when the weight curve exceeds a predetermined number of extrapolations. The magnitude relationship between the weight curves does not always change when compared with the same number of extrapolations, but may become equal when the number of extrapolations exceeds a certain setting.
