Description
サンプルホルダの熱容量に対する電力の比率がより高いことによる、より高い温度ランプスピードと、
最も離れて位置するサンプル間の距離短縮によるより良好な温度均一性と、
最も離れて位置するサンプル間の距離短縮による、すべてのサンプルが目標温度に達するのに要する時間の短縮と、
サンプルホルダの質量低下により可能となる電力消費の低下と、が実現可能となる。
Claims (9)
- 複数のサンプルを温度サイクリング状態に置くように設計されたサーマルサイクラーであって、
第1上部表面と第2下部伝熱表面とを有するサンプルホルダであって、前記第1表面が、複数のサンプルを保持するように、9mm、4.5mm又は2.25mmのピッチを有する格子状に配列された複数の凹部を備えるサンプル受容表面を構成し、サンプルホルダの第1寸法におけるサンプルウェルの数は、9mmのピッチで8、4.5mmのピッチで16、2.25mmのピッチで32であるところのサンプルホルダと、
サンプルホルダの、自動化され制御された、加熱及び冷却のための手段であって、サンプルホルダの伝熱表面に熱的に連結された熱ポンプ要素を備える手段と、を備え、
熱ポンプ要素とサンプルホルダの伝熱表面との面積比が0.8〜1.2であり、
伝熱表面の面積がサンプル受容表面の面積よりも大きくなるような形状をサンプルホルダが有しており、
サンプルに関する集束した加熱及び冷却を実現するため、サンプルホルダの前記第1寸法と垂直な第2寸法におけるサンプルウェルの数は、9mmのピッチで12、4.5mmのピッチで24、2.25mmのピッチで48、の分数に相当していることを特徴とするサーマルサイクラー。 - サンプルホルダの、伝熱表面とサンプル受容表面との面積比が、前記分数の逆数に等しいかそれより小さいことを特徴とする、請求項1のサーマルサイクラー。
- サンプルホルダの、伝熱表面とサンプル受容表面との面積比が、1.2〜9であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2のサーマルサイクラー。
- 熱ポンプ要素がペルチェモジュールを備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか1つのサーマルサイクラー。
- 熱ポンプ要素がヒートシンクに熱的に連結されていることを特徴とする、請求項4のサーマルサイクラー。
- 電池又はホスト装置など独立型電源からサイクラーに電力を供給するためのコネクタを備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか1つのサーマルサイクラー。
- サンプルホルダのサンプル受容表面の大きさは、前記第1寸法において70〜100mmであり、前記第2寸法において25〜45mmであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか1つのサーマルサイクラー。
- 複数のサンプルを保持するように、9mm、4.5mm又は2.25mmのピッチを有する格子状に配列された複数の別個のサンプルウェルを備えているマイクロタイタープレートの使用方法であって、
マイクロタイタープレートの第1寸法におけるサンプルウェルの数は、9mmのピッチで8、4.5mmのピッチで16、2.25mmのピッチで32であり、
マイクロタイタープレートの前記第1寸法と垂直な第2寸法におけるサンプルウェルの数は、9mmのピッチで12、4.5mmのピッチで24、2.25mmのピッチで48、の分数に相当している、請求項1〜7のいずれか1つのサーマルサイクラーにおける、マイクロタイタープレートの使用方法。 - 前記分数が、1/2、1/3、1/4又は1/6であることを特徴とする、請求項8の使用方法。
