Description
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an optical drop cable used for lead-in wiring from a wiring system cable to a subscriber's house such as a building or a general house.
FTTH(Fiber To The Home)が急速に拡大してきている。 With the spread of communication services such as the Internet, FTTH (Fiber To The Home), which connects all sections from a telecommunications carrier to a subscriber's home with optical fiber, is rapidly expanding. In such FTTH, the optical wiring network in the vicinity of the subscriber's house is generally an overhead wiring using a power pole, and the main method is to drop the wiring cable from the wiring pole to the subscriber's house using an optical drop cable. Has been adopted.
In general, this optical drop cable has a tensile body placed above and below an optical fiber core, a support wire is further placed thereon, and a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene is collectively coated on the outer periphery thereof. It has a structure with a jacket. A connecting portion (neck portion) is provided between the cable support wire and the tensile body to facilitate separation from the cable support wire portion, and on both side surfaces of the cable jacket, In order to easily take out the optical fiber core wire, a tearing notch having a V-shaped cross section is provided.
By the way, recently, there has been a problem that pests such as bearfish puncture the laying tube into the optical drop cable, damage the optical fiber, and hinder information transmission. It has been confirmed that this damage is particularly caused by the oviposition tube inserted in the tear notch portion. The tear notch has a V-shaped cross-section and is easy to insert. The reason is that the thickness of the outer cover of the notch forming portion is reduced.
Therefore, in order to prevent damage to the optical fiber due to the egg-laying tube such as bearfish, for example, (1) a protective member for protecting the optical fiber core wire is provided in the jacket (for example, see Patent Document 1), (2). The tip of the notch for tearing is shifted from the position of the optical fiber core so that the optical fiber core is not damaged even if a spawning tube such as a bearfish is pierced into the notch (see, for example, Patent Document 2). 3) The notch opening is closed with a releasable material (see, for example, Patent Document 3), and (4) A cut portion in which cut surfaces are bonded to each other after cutting is provided in the outer cover (see, for example, Patent Document 4). ), Etc., in which various measures are taken on the cable structure itself.
However, in the cable (1), there is a problem that the take-out property of the optical fiber core line is greatly deteriorated and the number of members is increased, resulting in an increase in cost. The cable of (2) does not necessarily have an effect of preventing damage caused by the oviduct such as burdock. The cable of (3) is difficult to manufacture and, like (1), the cost increases due to an increase in the number of members. Furthermore, in the cable (4), there is a problem that a sufficient protection effect for the optical fiber core cannot be obtained depending on the material and the take-out property of the core wire is deteriorated.
The present invention has been made to address the problems of the prior art, it is possible to reliably prevent damage to the optical fiber due cicadas and significantly excellent optical drop cable to extraction of the optical fiber It is an object of the present invention to provide a method capable of producing
The method of manufacturing an optical drop cable according to claim 1 of the present application includes: an optical fiber core; tensile strength members arranged in parallel at intervals on both sides of the optical fiber; A jacket made of a polyolefin resin having a Shore D hardness (JIS K 7215) of 55 or more and 63 or less, and a pair of semi-fused states in which the tip faces the surface of the jacket with the optical fiber core wire interposed therebetween A method of manufacturing an optical drop cable provided with slit-shaped tear notches, wherein the optical fiber core wire and the strength member are introduced into an extruder while being juxtaposed, and the polyolefin resin heated and melted on the outer periphery thereof is extruded. after coating, when the surface temperature of the coating becomes near the melting point of the polyolefin resin, an incision on the surface thereof, said pull cleft by it chill It is intended to and forming a use notch.
The invention according to claim 2 is the optical drop cable manufacturing method according to claim 1 , characterized in that, after the polyolefin resin is extrusion-coated, the coated surface is immediately forcedly cooled to make the cut. It is.

Although the description will be made based on the drawings, the drawings are provided for illustration only, and the present invention is not limited to the drawings. Moreover, in the following description, about the component which has the same or substantially the same function and structure, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected and the overlapping description is abbreviate | omitted.
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing an embodiment of the optical drop cable of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
The
On the other hand, the
The
The single-core
Further, as the material constituting the
Next, a method for manufacturing the
FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of an apparatus used for manufacturing the

After the slit-shaped

On the other hand, when the single-core
In addition, from the viewpoint of protecting the optical

Here, it describes about the experiment conducted in order to investigate the effect of this invention, and its result.

For comparison, the above optical drop cable except that a polyolefin resin having a Shore D hardness of less than 55 or more than 63 shown below was used instead of the polyolefin resin having a Shore D hardness of 55 or more and 63 or less. In the same manner, an optical drop cable was manufactured.
Furthermore, an optical drop cable was manufactured in the same manner as each of the optical drop cables described above except that the surface temperature of the resin (slit processing temperature) when passing through the slit processing device 47 was 90 ° C. or 200 ° C.

For each of the above optical drop cables, while measuring the tear strength starting from the slit-shaped notch and the repulsive force when the slit-shaped notch surface is pressed 0.5 mm with a needle having a diameter of 1.0 mm, the method shown below, The effect of preventing the invasion of the oviposition of the oat (the oat protection) was evaluated. The evaluation results are shown in Table 1 together with the type of the jacket material and its physical properties.
[Kumazemi protection]
An optical drop cable was laid out outdoors for 30 days during the period when the bearfish appeared, and the number of optical fiber breaks caused by the invasion of the bearfish oviposition tube was examined.
As shown in Table 1, while using a polyolefin resin having a Shore D hardness of 55 or more and 63 or less as the jacket material, an optical drop cable (No. 3-2, 4- 2, 5-2, and 6-2) were both excellent in the protection of bearfish and the ability to take out the core wire. On the other hand, light whose slit-shaped notch in a semi-fused state was not formed because the Shore D hardness of the jacket material was outside the range of 55 to 63 or the slit processing temperature was too low or too high. With the drop cable, at least one of the protection against beartail and the ability to take out the core wire was poor. From these results, in order to achieve both the protection of bearfish and the ability to take out the core wire, a polyolefin resin having a Shore D hardness of 55 or more and 63 or less is used as the jacket material, and a notch for tearing in a semi-fused state is used. It was confirmed that it was necessary to provide it.

Although not shown in the drawings, a plurality of
