Description
The present invention relates to a roller chain for a high temperature environment used under a high temperature environment such as a roller chain for a belt conveyor of a continuous heat treatment furnace.
As one of apparatuses for heat-treating continuous workpieces, for example, fibrous workpieces, the workpieces are sequentially placed on a belt conveyor driven by a roller chain, and are 300 to 400. There is a continuous heat treatment furnace in which the object to be treated can be continuously heat-treated by being conveyed and passed through a furnace held in a high temperature environment of about 0C.
FIGS. 7A and 7B show a general structure of the
When the
When the
By the way, as one of the methods for improving the durability of a roller chain used in a high temperature environment such as a timing chain of an automobile engine, one or both of materials of pins and bushes are appropriately selected, It is possible to improve the wear resistance at the sliding portion between the pin and the bush and to suppress the elongation of the roller chain by applying a required curing treatment or surface treatment to one or both of the bush and the bush. (For example, refer to
However, when the
For this reason, the actual condition is that the wear of the sliding portion between the
Therefore, it is desired to suppress wear at the sliding portion between the
In the
Furthermore, the roller chains described in
Therefore, the method for improving the wear resistance at the sliding portion between the pin and the bush described in
Therefore, a method for improving the wear resistance of the sliding portion between the roller and the bush in the roller chain used in a high temperature environment of about 300 to 400 ° C. has not been proposed conventionally.
Therefore, the present invention is resistant to the sliding portion between the roller and the bush even under high temperature conditions such as the above-mentioned continuous heat treatment furnace at 300 to 400 ° C. and difficult to lubricate with lubricating oil such as grease or molybdenum disulfide. An object of the present invention is to provide a roller chain for a high temperature environment that can improve wear and can have a long life.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the present invention corresponds to claim 1 and includes an outer link formed by connecting both ends of a pair of outer link plates with pins, and both ends of a pair of inner link plates. The inner link formed by the bush is connected to the inner side of the bush in the longitudinal direction by rotatably inserting the pin, and the roller is rotatably provided on the outer periphery of the bush. In the roller chain, in a high temperature environment of 300 to 400 ° C., only a part of the outer peripheral surface of the bush located in the circumferential direction is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the roller while the roller is around the bush. A part of the sliding portion between the bush and the roller that rotates when the outer peripheral surface of the bush is positioned along the inner peripheral surface of the roller. The material of the bush is a quenching and tempering material of martensitic stainless steel, and the material of at least the inner diameter part of the roller is a carburizing and quenching material of martensitic stainless steel or a nitriding material , To do.
In the above configuration, the bush is made of SUS440C stainless steel quenching and tempering material, and the roller is made of SUS403 stainless steel carburizing and quenching material or nitriding material .
According to the roller chain for high temperature environment of the present invention, the following excellent effects are exhibited.
(1) An outer link formed by connecting both ends of a pair of outer link plates with pins, and an inner link formed by connecting both ends of a pair of inner link plates with a bush In a high temperature environment roller chain in which a pin is rotatably inserted and connected in the longitudinal direction, and a roller is rotatably provided on the outer periphery of the bush, the outer peripheral surface of the bush under a high temperature environment of 300 to 400 ° C. In the sliding portion between the bush and the roller when the roller rotates around the bush in a state where only a portion located in the circumferential direction of the load is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the roller, The material of the bush is changed so that a part of the outer peripheral surface of the bush located in the circumferential direction is worn so as to have a shape along the inner peripheral surface of the roller. Since it is a hardened and tempered material of rutensite stainless steel, and the material of at least the inner diameter portion of the roller is a carburized and hardened material of martensitic stainless steel or a nitride material, in the sliding portion of the bush and the roller, By making the bush more worn, the outer shape of the bush can be shaped along the inner peripheral surface of the roller. Therefore, as the wear of the bush progresses, the contact area at the sliding portion between the bush and the roller can be increased, and the contact surface pressure at the sliding portion between the bush and the roller can be reduced. It is possible to suppress the progress of wear in the sliding portion between the bush and the roller, and to improve wear resistance.
(2) Further, the wear powder generated when the bush is worn at the sliding portion between the bush and the roller is transferred to the sliding surface side of the roller, and a thin oxide film is formed on the sliding surface of the roller. Can be formed. For this reason, the friction coefficient in the sliding part of the said bush and roller can be reduced, and also by this, the abrasion resistance in the sliding part of a bush and a roller can be improved.
(3) According to the above (1) and (2), the life of the roller chain for high temperature environment can be extended.
The material of at least the inner diameter of (4) roller, and carburized material or nitride material of martensitic stainless steel, while the material of the bushing, so are the structure in which a quenched and tempered material of martensitic stainless steel The roller and the bush are easily formed with a hardness difference so that the bush is more easily worn than the roller at the sliding portion when the roller rotates around the bush. Can do.
The best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
Here, first, the process leading to the derivation of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
In order to improve the wear resistance at the sliding portion between the roller and the bush, the present inventors first set the shaft hardness to the bearing (bearing) positioned on the outer periphery of the shaft and the bearing. In view of the fact that the hardness is generally higher than that of (metal), a method of increasing the hardness of the
Further, as the test body b, the
Then, the test body a and the test body b are incorporated into a part of the
As a result, as shown in FIG. 2, both the test body a and the test body b in which the hardness of the
By the way, SUS403 stainless steel carburizing and quenching material (about Hv 720) used for manufacturing the
The reason why the above results were obtained was considered as follows. That is, in both the test body a and the test body b, since the hardness of the
Here, paying attention to the sliding portion between the
Therefore, when the inner peripheral surface of the
Furthermore, in this case, the higher the hardness of the
Therefore, the present inventors next set a bush model 9 having a cylindrical shape similar to the outer shape of the
As a result, as shown in FIG. 4, in the specimen c, since the hardness of the bush model 9 is higher than the hardness of the
The reason why the above results are obtained is that if the hardness of the
In view of the above, the present inventors have found that the wear resistance at the sliding portion between the bush and the roller can be improved if the hardness of the roller is higher than that of the bush in the roller chain.
FIGS. 1 (a) and 1 (b) show an embodiment of a roller chain for a high temperature environment according to the present invention, and bushes and rollers in the
Specifically, for example, the
More specifically, the
Other configurations are the same as those shown in FIGS. 7A and 7B, and the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals.
When the roller chain for high temperature environment of the present invention having the above-described configuration is adopted in a conveyor (not shown) and the roller chain for high temperature environment is circulated and driven to operate the conveyor, the roller 8a moves on a guide rail (not shown). Along with the travel, the lower end portion of the
Accordingly, as the contact surface pressure decreases, the progress of wear of the
Further, the abrasion powder generated when the
As described above, according to a high-temperature environment for the roller chain of the present invention, be performed using a solid lubricant such as lubricating oil or molybdenum disulfide grease called 300 to 400 ° C., such as a continuous heat treatment furnace lubricating Even in a high-temperature environment where it is difficult to achieve this, it is possible to improve the wear resistance of the sliding portion between the
Next, FIGS. 5A and 5B show another embodiment of the present invention. In the same configuration as shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, the rollers are carburized and quenched with SUS403 stainless steel. Instead of the material roller 8a, a
Other configurations are the same as those shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, and the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals.
Also in this embodiment, the hardness of the
Further, the
In each of the above embodiments, the roller 8a and the
The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. In the embodiment of FIGS. 1A and 1B, the
As long as it is a roller chain used under a high temperature environment of 300 to 400 ° C., it can be applied to any high temperature environment roller chain used in equipment other than a belt conveyor of a continuous heat treatment furnace. Of course, various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
