従って、触媒Cは環ロスが最低で、触媒D〜Fはモルデナイト不純物レベルと共にモル%環ロスの増大を示した。そうした循環はコストが高くつくので、C8環ロスの低さはモルデナイト不純物をほとんど含まないMTWを用いた本発明の触媒の好ましい特徴である。
Claims (8)
- キシレンとエチルベンゼンの供給原料混合物の異性化のためのプロセスにおいて、異性化ゾーン内で水素の存在下、上記供給原料混合物を触媒と異性化条件下で接触させてC8環ロスを最低限に抑えつつエチルベンゼンをキシレンに安定的に異性化するステップを含み、上記触媒が元素ベースで計算して0.1−2重量%の白金族成分と、シリカ対アルミナ・モル比が45以下であり、モルデナイト含有量が最大でも20重量%である1−90重量%のMTW型のゼオライト成分と、そして無機酸化物結合材成分とを含んでおり、上記異性化条件が300℃−500℃の範囲の温度と、1−50気圧の圧力と、0.5−10毎時の範囲の液体時間空間速度と、そして水素:炭化水素モル比が0.5:1から25:1の範囲であり、供給原料混合物に対するC8環ロスを4モル%以下に抑えて上記供給原料混合物におけるよりもキシレンの割合を高めた異性化生成物を得ることを特徴とするプロセス。
- 上記触媒がさらに元素ベースで計算して、0.01−5重量%のIVA族(IUPAC14)成分を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 上記IVA族(IUPAC14)成分がスズであることを特徴とする請求項2記載のプロセス。
- 上記触媒がさらに0.05−1.0重量%の硫黄を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のプロセス。
- 上記MTW型ゼオライト成分の量が2−20重量%の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のプロセス。
- 上記MTW型ゼオライト成分が20−40の範囲のシリカ:アルミナ・モル比を有していることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のプロセス。
- 上記無機酸化物結合材成分がアルミナ及びシリカのうちの1つ、あるいは両方を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のプロセス。
- 上記MTW型ゼオライト成分が10重量%モルデナイトからなることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のプロセス。
