Description
This invention manufactures (meth) acrylate which manufactures (meth) acrylate, for example by esterification reaction of acrylic acid and polyhydric alcohol under reduced pressure, neutralization reaction of the reaction product solution, and solvent removal treatment of the neutralization treatment solution It is about the method.
In general, (meth) acrylate is esterified with (meth) acrylic acid and alcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst and an organic solvent in a reactor, and the reaction solution is neutralized with an alkaline aqueous solution in a neutralization tank. And the neutralized solution is produced by removing the solvent in a solvent removal tank. At this time, in the solvent removal tank, the organic solvent is evaporated by heating and stirring in a reduced pressure state, and the evaporated organic solvent is condensed and recovered by the condenser at the upper part of the solvent removal tank. The solvent removal treatment liquid from which the organic solvent has been removed removes fine solid foreign matters and turbidity by filtration using filter paper, filter cloth, strainer, etc., and the desired (meth) acrylate is obtained.
However, in the conventional method for producing (meth) acrylate described in Patent Document 1 and the like, the liquid to be treated in the solvent removal tank is heated by the heat medium of the heat exchange section provided on the outer periphery of the solvent removal tank. Therefore, there is a problem that heat transfer efficiency is poor and it takes a long time to heat the liquid to be treated. In that case, since the liquid to be treated is exposed to a high temperature for a long time in the solvent removal tank, there is a problem that a colored component is generated from the liquid to be treated and the solvent removal liquid is colored.
The present invention has been made paying attention to such problems existing in the prior art, and the object of the present invention is to reduce the time required for the solvent removal treatment, It is providing the manufacturing method of (meth) acrylate which can suppress coloring of a solvent removal processing liquid.
In order to achieve the above object, the method for producing a (meth) acrylate according to claim 1 supplies (meth) acrylic acid, an alcohol, an acid catalyst and an organic solvent to a reactor, and (meth) acrylic. Acid and alcohol are esterified in the presence of an acid catalyst and an organic solvent, and the reaction solution is neutralized with an alkaline aqueous solution in a neutralization tank, and the organic solvent is removed from the neutralization liquid in a solvent removal tank. In the method for producing (meth) acrylate for producing (meth) acrylate, a circulation pipe for circulating the neutralizing liquid is connected to the solvent removal tank, and a flow-down type external heat exchanger is provided in the circulation pipe. In the external heat exchanger, the neutralization treatment liquid is configured to be heat exchanged in a film state, and the neutralization treatment liquid in the solvent removal tank is heated by circulating the neutralization treatment liquid. It is characterized by this.
The method for producing a (meth) acrylate according to a second aspect of the present invention is the method according to the first aspect, wherein the neutralization treatment liquid is returned to the desolvation tank from the circulation pipe by removing the solvent rather than the pressure in the circulation pipe. The pressure in the tank is set to be low, and the neutralized liquid is decompressed and flash-evaporated when returning from the circulation pipe to the solvent removal tank.
The method for producing a (meth) acrylate according to claim 3 is characterized in that, in the invention according to claim 1 or 2, the alcohol is a polyhydric alcohol.
In the present invention, acrylate or methacrylate is represented as (meth) acrylate, and acrylic acid or methacrylic acid is represented as (meth) acrylic acid.
According to the present invention, the following effects can be exhibited.
In the method for producing (meth) acrylate according to claim 1, the solvent removal tank is connected to a circulation pipe for circulating the neutralization treatment liquid, and the circulation pipe is provided with a flow-down external heat exchanger, In the external heat exchanger, heat is exchanged in a state where the neutralizing solution is in the form of a film. For this reason, when the neutralization treatment liquid is circulated through the circulation pipe and heat exchange is performed with an external heat exchanger, the heat exchange efficiency with respect to the neutralization treatment liquid is increased, and the neutralization treatment liquid in the solvent removal tank is quickly heated. Is done. As a result, the time during which the neutralizing solution is exposed to high temperatures is shortened. Therefore, the time required for the solvent removal treatment can be shortened, and coloring of the solvent removal treatment liquid after the solvent removal treatment can be suppressed.
In the method for producing a (meth) acrylate according to the second aspect of the invention, the pressure in the desolvation tank is lower than the pressure in the circulation pipe when returning the neutralizing solution from the circulation pipe to the solvent removal tank. It is configured so that when the neutralization treatment liquid returns from the circulation pipe to the solvent removal tank, it is decompressed and flash-evaporated. For this reason, when the neutralization processing liquid returns from the circulation pipe to the solvent removal tank, the pressure is rapidly reduced and flash evaporation is performed, and the evaporation of the organic solvent in the neutralization processing liquid is promoted. Therefore, the effect of the invention according to claim 1 can be further improved.
In the method for producing a (meth) acrylate according to the invention of claim 3, since the alcohol is a polyhydric alcohol, the effect of the invention according to claim 1 or claim 2 for the polyfunctional (meth) acrylate having a high boiling point. Can be demonstrated.

And polyalkylene glycols such as diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol and polypropylene glycol, bisphenols such as bisphenol A and bisphenol F, polyols such as trimethylolpropane, ditrimethylolpropane, pentaerythritol and dipentaerythritol.
(Meth) acrylic acid is acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, and is selected depending on whether the target ester is an acrylate or a methacrylate. The amount of (meth) acrylic acid used is adjusted with respect to 1 mol of all hydroxyl groups of the alcohol so that the resulting (meth) acrylate has the desired hydroxyl value.
Examples of the acidic catalyst include sulfuric acid and paratoluenesulfonic acid. Moreover, what is necessary is just to set reaction temperature suitably according to the raw material to be used and the objective, However, 65-140 degreeC is preferable from a viewpoint of shortening of reaction time and superposition | polymerization prevention, and 75-120 degreeC is more preferable. When the reaction temperature is less than 65 ° C., the esterification reaction is slowed or the yield is reduced. On the other hand, when the reaction temperature exceeds 140 ° C., (meth) acrylic acid or the produced (meth) acrylate There is a risk of thermal polymerization of.
In the esterification reaction, dehydration is promoted while water generated by the esterification reaction is azeotroped with an organic solvent. Preferred organic solvents include aromatic hydrocarbons such as toluene, benzene and xylene, aliphatic hydrocarbons such as hexane and heptane, and ketones such as methyl ethyl ketone. The amount of the organic solvent used is preferably 0.1 to 10 times, more preferably 1 to 5 times the mass of the total amount of the alcohol and (meth) acrylic acid.
The esterification reaction is preferably performed at a low temperature in a reduced pressure state for the purpose of preventing thermal polymerization of (meth) acrylic acid or the generated (meth) acrylate. Moreover, it is preferable to perform esterification reaction in presence of oxygen. For the same purpose, it is preferable to add a polymerization inhibitor to the reaction solution. Examples of such polymerization inhibitors include hydroquinone, hydroquinone monomethyl ether, 2,4-dimethyl-6-t-butylphenol, phenothiazine, and copper salts such as copper chloride and copper sulfate. The degree of progress of the esterification reaction is performed by monitoring the amount of water produced by the esterification reaction, that is, the amount of dehydration.
[Neutralization treatment]
The esterified reaction product solution is neutralized with an alkaline aqueous solution in a neutralization tank.
This neutralization treatment may be carried out according to a conventional method, and examples thereof include a method of adding an aqueous alkali solution such as aqueous sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide to the reaction solution as an alkali component, stirring and mixing.
In this case, the amount of the alkali component is usually 1 time or more, preferably 1.1 to 2.0 times in molar ratio to the acid content of the reaction solution. If this addition amount is less than 1 time in molar ratio with respect to the acid content of the reaction solution, neutralization of the acid content becomes insufficient, such being undesirable. Moreover, it is preferable that the density | concentration of aqueous alkali solution is 1-25 mass%, More preferably, it is 10-25 mass%. If this concentration is less than 1% by mass, the amount of waste water after neutralization will increase, which is not preferred. If it exceeds 25% by mass, (meth) acrylate may be polymerized. Further, the stirring and mixing time is preferably about 5 to 120 minutes.
If necessary, the reaction product solution or the organic layer after neutralization can be washed with water in the neutralization tank.
[Solvent removal]
The neutralization treatment liquid obtained by the neutralization treatment removes the organic solvent from the treatment liquid in a solvent removal tank to obtain a final product (meth) acrylate.
In the solvent removal treatment, the solvent removal tank is connected to a circulation pipe for circulating the neutralization treatment liquid, and the circulation pipe is provided with a flow-down type external heat exchanger, in the external heat exchanger. In the method for producing (meth) acrylate, the neutralization treatment liquid is heat exchanged in a film state, and the neutralization treatment liquid is heated by circulating the neutralization treatment liquid. is there.

As shown in FIG. 2, one end of the
In this case, the pressure in the

Now, the operation of the present embodiment will be described. In the

The effects exhibited by the above embodiment will be described collectively below.

As the solvent removal treatment progressed, the temperature was gradually changed to 80 ° C. and the pressure to 0.67 kPa. As a result, the time required for the solvent removal treatment was 14 hours, which was longer than that in Example 3. In this manner, ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate was obtained. As a result of continuously producing ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate for 18 months, the color tone (APHA) of ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate varied greatly from 30 to 200 and was insufficiently colored.
