Description
Claims (6)
- チャンネル変更遅延を削減する方法であって:
チャンネル変更コマンドを受信する工程;
該チャンネル変更コマンドに応じて、新たに選択されたチャネルに関連付けられた着信データ・ストリームをキャッシュし始める工程であって、前記キャッシュされたデータ・ストリームは、番組特定情報、シーケンス・ヘッダ・データ、並びに、オーディオ・コンテンツ及びビデオ・コンテンツのうちの一方を含む工程;
該着信データ・ストリームの中に含まれる番組特定情報を探索し、前記番組特定情報に応じて、前記キャッシュされたデータ・ストリーム内のシーケンス・ヘッダ・データの第1のインスタンスを探索する工程;
該キャッシュされたデータ・ストリームを該番組特定情報及びシーケンス・ヘッダ・データの該探索に応じて復号化するよう転送する工程;及び
前記シーケンス・ヘッダ・データに応じて、新たなチャネルに関連付けられたデータを復号化する工程;
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、該番組特定情報が番組関連テーブルデータ及び番組マップ・テーブルデータを有することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、該番組特定情報を探索する工程群が:
該着信データ・ストリームの中で番組関連テーブルデータを探索する工程;
該番組関連テーブルデータを用いて番組マップ・テーブルデータを探索する工程;及び
該番組マップ・テーブルデータを用いてビデオ番組識別データとオーディオ番組識別データとのうちの少なくとも1つを探索する工程;
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 削減されたチャンネル変更遅延を有するディジタル通信装置であって:
データ・ストリームを受信する手段;
チャンネル変更コマンドを受信する手段;
前記チャンネル変更コマンドに応じて該データ・ストリームの一部分を格納し始めるよう動作するキャッシュ・メモリ;
該データ・ストリームを復号化するよう動作する復号器;及び
プロセッサ;
を有し;
該プロセッサが、該受信する手段、該キャッシュ・メモリ、及び該復号器に結合され、該チャンネル変更コマンドの受信に応じて、該受信に後続する、該データ・ストリームの該一部分を該キャッシュ・メモリの中に格納させ、前記一部分は、番組特定情報、シーケンス・ヘッダ・データ、並びに、オーディオ・コンテンツ及びビデオ・コンテンツのうちの一方を含み;
該チャンネル変更コマンドに応じて前記番組特定情報を探索し、前記番組特定情報に応じて、前記格納されたデータ・ストリーム内のシーケンス・ヘッダ・データの第1のインスタンスを探索し;かつ
前記シーケンス・ヘッダ・データに応じて該復号器によって該キャッシュ・メモリに格納された該データ・ストリームを処理させる;
ことを特徴とするディジタル通信装置。 - 請求項4記載のディジタル通信装置であって、該番組特定情報が番組関連テーブルデータ及び番組マップ・テーブルデータを有することを特徴とするディジタル通信装置。
- 請求項4記載のディジタル通信装置であって、該プロセッサが:
該着信データ・ストリームの中で番組関連テーブルデータを探索し;
該番組関連テーブルデータを用いて番組マップ・テーブルデータを探索し;かつ
該番組マップ・テーブルデータを用いてビデオ番組識別データとオーディオ番組識別データとのうちの少なくとも1つを探索する;
ことによって該番組特定情報を探索するよう動作することを特徴とするディジタル通信装置。
