BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an actuator and an injection device, and more particularly to an actuator and an injection device used for a precision positioning device such as an automobile fuel injection valve and an optical device, a drive element for preventing vibration, and the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a piezoelectric body has an inverse piezoelectric effect that expands and contracts when a voltage is applied. However, since the amount of expansion / contraction of each piezoelectric material is very small, a multilayer piezoelectric element formed by laminating a plurality of piezoelectric materials has been manufactured. This multilayer piezoelectric element is applied with a voltage to a piezoelectric body and stretched by several to several tens of μm to serve as a driving force source for the actuator.
[0003]
By the way, conventionally, in order to cut off from the outside air and improve moisture resistance and prevent the intrusion of foreign matters such as oil and fuel, an actuator is configured by housing a multilayer piezoelectric element in a metal case. The displacement of the piezoelectric element is transmitted to the metal case, and the metal case itself is displaced.
[0004]
As such an actuator, one disclosed in JP-A-6-283778 is known. In the actuator disclosed in this publication, the laminated piezoelectric element is sealed in a metal case to block out from the outside air, thereby improving moisture resistance and preventing intrusion of oil, fuel, or the like.
[0005]
FIG. 4 shows the actuator disclosed in this publication. One end of the laminated
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the actuator disclosed in the above Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-283778, when it is continuously driven for a long time under a high electric field and high pressure, the actuator is exposed to high temperature due to self-heating or a change in the external atmosphere. There is a problem that a difference in thermal expansion occurs between the
That is, when the multilayer piezoelectric element is driven, heat is generated and the ambient temperature rises. However, the multilayer piezoelectric element contracts and the metal case expands, resulting in a difference in thermal expansion and a small preload. Thus, there was a problem that the displacement fluctuated.
In addition, the load differs depending on the deformation of the bellows before and when the multilayer piezoelectric element is extended, and the preload applied to the multilayer piezoelectric element fluctuates in one cycle and tries to expand. When a sudden load is applied to the multilayer piezoelectric element, the impact due to this sudden load fluctuation repeatedly acts over a long period of time, causing the piezoelectric body constituting the multilayer piezoelectric element to deteriorate and break down. There was a problem that occurred.
[0007]
An object of the present invention is to provide an actuator and an injection device that can be driven for a long time in a state in which a constant preload is applied in the stacking direction of the stacked piezoelectric elements.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The actuator of the present invention includes a displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element in which piezoelectric bodies and internal electrodes are alternately stacked, a base member to which one end of the displacement generating multilayer piezoelectric element is fixed, and the base A preload application case in which one end is fixed to the member and the multilayer piezoelectric element for generating displacement is accommodated, and an inner surface of the preload application case and the other end in the expansion / contraction direction of the multilayer piezoelectric element for generating displacement An actuator having a preload application section provided on the other end, wherein the preload application section is provided at the other end of the displacement generating laminated piezoelectric element in the expansion / contraction direction, the spring member, It possesses a preload applying multilayer piezoelectric element disposed between the preload applied inner surface of the case, by controlling the voltage applied to the laminated piezoelectric element for該予load application, a constant preload It is characterized by doing.
[0009]
In general, the multilayer piezoelectric element has a negative coefficient of thermal expansion. On the other hand, a spring member for applying a preload and a preload application case for housing a multilayer piezoelectric element are generally made of metal and have a positive thermal expansion coefficient. Therefore, when the actuator is exposed to high temperature due to external factors or self-heating of the multilayer piezoelectric element, the total length of the multilayer piezoelectric element is shortened, and the spring member and the preload application case are elongated. As a result, the preload acting on the multilayer piezoelectric element decreases.
[0010]
In the present invention, the preload application section is provided with a spring member provided at the other end in the expansion / contraction direction of the multilayer piezoelectric element for generating displacement, and a preload application provided between the spring member and the inner surface of the preload application case. For example, if there is a difference in thermal expansion between the multilayer piezoelectric element and the preload application part or preload application case, or if the preload decreases with time By controlling the voltage applied to the preload application multilayer piezoelectric element, the preload can be made constant.
[0011]
In general, when the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element is driven, the spring member to which the preload is applied causes the applied load to the piezoelectric element to vary due to the reaction force of the spring member. This load variation is determined by the spring constant k of the spring member to be used. However, when a disc spring or the like considering miniaturization is used, the load variation inevitably increases because of the high spring constant k.
[0012]
That is, in the actuator according to the present invention, the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element is extended by driving the preload-applied multilayer piezoelectric element synchronously so as to contract when the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element expands. The preload applied to the displacement-generating layered piezoelectric element hardly fluctuates in one cycle even when fully extended, and the load fluctuation can be suppressed to ensure stable displacement characteristics. It is possible to provide a high actuator.
[0013]
Moreover, in this invention, it is desirable to have a sensor which measures a preload in a preload application part. By controlling the voltage applied to the preload application multilayer piezoelectric element based on the data from the sensor, the preload can be adjusted with higher accuracy.
[0014]
Furthermore, the deformation amount in the expansion / contraction direction of the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element due to the thermal expansion of the preload application unit is larger than the deformation amount in the expansion / contraction direction of the displacement generation multilayer piezoelectric element due to the thermal expansion of the preload application case. Is desirable. When the preload application part is thermally deformed more than the preload application case, the change in the deflection amount of the preload application part for applying the preload is reduced, and the adjustment range of the multilayer piezoelectric element for preload application is reduced. Since the voltage applied to the preload-applied multi-layer piezoelectric element can be reduced, the reliability can be improved.
[0015]
An injection device according to the present invention includes a storage container having an injection hole, the actuator stored in the storage container, and a valve that ejects liquid from the injection hole by driving the actuator. .

【Effect of the invention】
In the actuator according to the present invention, the preload application section includes a spring member provided at the other end in the expansion / contraction direction of the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element, and a preload provided between the spring member and the inner surface of the preload application case. For example, when there is a difference in thermal expansion between the multilayer piezoelectric element and the preload application part or preload application case, or when the preload decreases with time In other words, the preload can be made constant by controlling the voltage applied to the preload-applied multi-layer piezoelectric element.
[0035]
In addition, the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element is driven to synchronize so as to contract when the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element expands, so that the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element expands and contracts. The preload applied to the displacement-generating multilayer piezoelectric element hardly fluctuates in one cycle even when the displacement occurs, and the load fluctuation can be suppressed.
[0036]
Therefore, in the case of continuous operation for a long time at a high speed with a high applied electric field, it is possible to provide a highly reliable actuator that can ensure stable displacement characteristics even when there is a change in temperature or load due to an external factor.
