Description
The present invention relates to a recording apparatus that records an image on a recording material using an ink ribbon by a thermal head based on image information.
A recording apparatus such as a printer, a copier, a facsimile, or a captured image forming apparatus is configured to record an image (including characters and symbols) on a recording material such as recording paper based on image information. There are various recording methods (printing methods) in the recording apparatus, such as a thermal transfer method, a thermal method, an ink jet method, a laser beam method, and a wire dot method. As the recording material, papers, cloths, plastic sheets, OHP sheets, envelopes and the like can be used as long as they can record images (including characters and symbols). Yes. The above-described thermal transfer type recording apparatus records an image by thermally transferring the ink of the ink ribbon onto a recording material by a heat generating portion of a thermal head.
FIG. 6 is a side view showing an outline of a recording section of a conventional thermal transfer recording apparatus. In FIG. 6, a recording material P such as recording paper is nipped together with the
The
On the other hand, increasing the rigidity of the thermal head and the platen roller has a practical limit. Therefore, Patent Document 1 and
The biggest reason for adopting the above-described adjustment method is that it is difficult to realize a high-precision convex amount that satisfies the uniformity of density only with the machining accuracy of the parts. Also, it is not impossible to stop the adjustment method and manage the convex amount only by the processing accuracy of the parts with the current processing technology. However, the management method based only on the processing accuracy has a serious negative effect in that the part stoppage of parts is reduced and the mass production quality is difficult to maintain. For this reason, it is common to employ the adjustment method as described above.
However, the adjustment method should also be avoided in practice because it requires many steps for manufacturing and assembly. Therefore, the most desirable configuration is a configuration in which the convex amount of the thermal head that satisfies the uniformity of the recording (printing) density can be secured with high accuracy only by combining parts that can be easily processed without going through an adjustment process. It will be.
The present invention has been made in view of such technical problems. It is an object of the present invention to accurately manage the convex shape in the main scanning direction of the thermal head to a convex amount that sufficiently ensures the uniformity of the recording density even by combining easily processable parts. It is to provide a recording device.

A spacer member interposed between the thermal head and the support member;
A screw member that fastens the thermal head to the support member via the spacer member, and the end surface of the spacer member that is pressed against the support member is a flat surface, and the end surface that is pressed against the thermal head is the thermal head The central portion of the main scanning direction is partially convex toward the thermal head side, and the thermal head is bent according to the convex shape by being pressed against the convex shape of the spacer member. It is manufactured in a convex shape by sheet metal pressing, and the stamping direction of pressing is parallel to the sub-scanning direction of the thermal head and perpendicular to the main scanning direction. A plurality of sheets are used in the sub-scanning direction.
According to the present invention, the convex shape in the main scanning direction of the thermal head can be accurately managed to a convex amount that sufficiently ensures the uniformity of the recording density even by combining easily processable components. A recording device is provided.
Embodiments of the present invention will be specifically described below with reference to the drawings. Note that the same reference numerals denote the same or corresponding parts throughout the drawings. FIG. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view showing an outline of an embodiment of a recording apparatus according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view in the sub-scanning direction showing the support structure of the thermal head in FIG. FIG. 3 is a front view of the thermal head support structure as viewed from line 3-3 in FIG. In FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, a recording material P such as recording paper is nipped together with the
The
2 and 3, the thermal head 1 is fastened to the
The
The convex amount (projection height) W of the convex
Here, each
2 and 3, the
As described above, according to the embodiment described above, recording that can easily and accurately realize the convex shape of the thermal head that can ensure the uniformity of the density of the recorded image by using components that can be processed easily with high precision. A device is obtained.
In the above-described embodiment, the rigidity of the
Further, the range of the length dimension C (FIG. 3) of the
Further, the shape of the
Further, in the present embodiment, an example in which the convex portion is one place has been shown. However, in order to obtain a more uniform pressure distribution, three convex portions may be formed as shown in FIG. More than that is fine. However, in consideration of the uniformity of the image, it is a premise that the image is symmetrical.
According to the embodiment described above, the flatness of the thermal head at the time of image recording can be managed easily and with high accuracy only by combining components that can be manufactured by easy processing. That is, the flatness of the thermal head can be managed easily and with high accuracy without increasing the number of manufacturing steps, without causing a decrease in yield and mass production quality, and without requiring an adjustment method. Thus, it is possible to easily and reliably ensure the accuracy of the convex amount that satisfies the uniformity of the density of the recorded image. In other words, according to the present invention, the convex shape in the main scanning direction of the thermal head can be accurately managed with a convex amount that can sufficiently ensure the uniformity of the recording density even by combining easily processable components. There is provided a recording apparatus capable of recording.
The recording apparatus according to the present invention is not limited to a single recording apparatus such as a printer, a copying machine, a facsimile machine, or a captured image forming apparatus. The present invention can be widely applied as a recording apparatus in a composite apparatus combining these or a composite apparatus such as a computer system. Further, the present invention can be similarly applied regardless of the number and arrangement of thermal heads.
