Description
The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing an image recording body such as a plastic sheet imaged by an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, and a method for producing an image recording body. Certificate, personal membership card, residence card, various driving licenses, non-contact or contact-type personal information image information-containing information media such as certifications, personal verification image sheets and image display boards used in medical settings, etc. The present invention relates to an image recording body manufacturing apparatus and an image recording body manufacturing method used for display labels and the like.
In recent years, along with the development of image forming technology, means for forming images of the same quality in large quantities and at low cost by various printing methods such as intaglio printing, relief printing, planographic printing, gravure printing, and screen printing are known. Yes. Such a printing method is used for surface printing of an information medium that can store predetermined information such as an IC card, a magnetic card, an optical card, or a combination of these, and can communicate with an external device in contact or non-contact. Are often used.
However, for example, the screen printing requires a large number of printing plates corresponding to the number of images to be printed, and in the case of color printing, printing plates corresponding to the number of colors are further required. Therefore, these printing methods are unsuitable for individually responding to individual identification information (face photo, name, address, date of birth, various licenses, etc.).
The most mainstream image forming means for the above problems is an image forming method using a printer or the like employing a sublimation type or melting type thermal transfer system using an ink ribbon or the like. However, these can easily print personal identification information, but still have the problem that the resolution decreases when the printing speed is increased and the printing speed decreases when the resolution is increased.
In contrast, in electrophotographic image formation (printing), the surface of the image carrier is uniformly charged, exposed in accordance with an image signal, and an electrostatic latent image due to a potential difference between an exposed portion and a non-exposed portion is generated. Then, a color powder (image forming material) called toner having a polarity opposite to (or the same as) the charge is electrostatically developed to form a visible image (toner image) on the surface of the image carrier. Done in the way. In the case of a color image, this process is repeated a plurality of times, or a plurality of image forming devices are arranged in parallel to form a visible color image, and these are transferred and fixed (fixed: mainly by heat) to the image recording medium. This is performed by a method of obtaining a color image by melting and solidifying the color powder by cooling.
As described above, in the electrophotographic method, the electrostatic latent image on the surface of the image carrier is electrically formed by the image signal, so that not only the same image can be formed many times, but also different images can be easily handled. Image formation is possible. Further, the toner image on the surface of the image carrier can be transferred almost completely to the surface of the image recording body, and the toner image slightly remaining on the surface of the image carrier can be easily removed with a resin blade or a brush. Therefore, it is possible to easily produce printed materials for multi-product small-volume production.
The toner is usually formed by melt-mixing a heat-meltable resin, a pigment, and optionally an additive such as a charge control agent, and pulverizing and finely pulverizing the kneaded product. Further, the electrostatic latent image in the electrophotographic method has a considerably higher resolution than the finely divided toner, and a sufficient resolution is expected even when compared with the resolution of the screen printing or thermal transfer method of the ink ribbon. it can.
For color images, the four primary colors of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black are used as color toners, and these can be mixed to theoretically reproduce the same color as in printing. In the above color toner, since the toner resin and the pigment can be blended relatively freely, it is easy to increase the image concealment by the toner.
In the devices disclosed in these, high-resolution plastic sheets can be produced with high productivity, but no specific crimping method is specified in the thermocompression bonding process, and the thermocompression rolls are simply opposed to each other. Therefore, it is not possible to obtain a versatile laminating apparatus. For example, only a specific card limited to a specific material can be produced.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a versatile laminate-capable image recording body manufacturing apparatus and an image recording body manufacturing method.
The apparatus for producing an image recording body of the present invention comprises an image forming means for forming an image on the surface of a sheet film by an electrophotographic method, the sheet film and a support, and at least the image of the sheet film is formed. And a pair of heating rolls supported so as to be capable of approaching and separating from each other, and a laminating means for laminating the image forming surface and the laminated surface of the support so as to face each other. The laminate is sandwiched by the laminating means for laminating the support with the sheet film, the adjusting means for adjusting the distance between the center axes of the pair of heating rolls, and the pair of heating rolls. Pressure detecting means for detecting pressure applied to the laminate, and pressure detected by the pressure detecting means is a predetermined pressure. The has a control means for controlling the adjusting means, a so.
The image forming means of the image recording material producing apparatus of the present invention forms an image on the surface of the sheet-like film by electrophotography. The laminating means laminates the sheet-like film imaged by the image-forming means and the support so that at least the image forming surface on which the image of the sheet-like film is formed and the surface to be laminated of the support face each other. A laminate is used. The laminated body laminated by the laminating means is sandwiched between a pair of heating rolls included in the laminating means, thereby laminating the support with a sheet-like film. By adjusting the distance between the center axes of the heating rolls by adjusting means for adjusting the distance between the center axes of the pair of heating rolls, the pair of heating rolls are adjusted so as to approach and separate from each other.
As described above, the pressure applied by the pair of heating rolls to the laminate sandwiched between the pair of heating rolls can be adjusted by the adjusting means, so that it is possible to deal with laminates having various thicknesses. Thus, it is possible to provide an image recording body manufacturing apparatus capable of performing versatile laminating.
The adjustment means includes an eccentric support member that rotatably supports at least one of the pair of heating rolls at a position eccentric from the center of the eccentric support member body, and a holding member that detachably holds the eccentric support member; Can be included.
In this way, the holding member of the adjusting means can detachably hold the eccentric support member at a plurality of different positions from each other in the rotation direction of the heating roll supported by the eccentric support member. For this reason, the position at which the central axis of the heating roll is held can be changed by attaching and detaching the eccentric supporting member and being held at different positions by the holding member, and the pair of heating rolls supported by the eccentric supporting member can be changed. The distance between the central axes can be changed.
For this reason, it is possible to adjust the pressure applied by the pair of heating rolls to the laminate sandwiched between the pair of heating rolls with a simple configuration, so that a versatile laminate can be performed. It is possible to provide a recording body manufacturing apparatus.
The adjusting means is provided to support at least one of the pair of heating rolls so as to be rotatable, and to be brought into contact with the support member. And an eccentric member that adjusts the inter-axis distance.
Along with the rotation or rotation of the eccentric member, the distance between the center axes of the pair of heating rolls can be adjusted via the support member, so that versatile lamination can be easily performed with a simple configuration. An apparatus for manufacturing an image recording body can be provided.
The image recording body manufacturing apparatus according to the present invention includes a pressure detection unit that detects a pressure applied to the stacked body sandwiched between the pair of heating rolls, and a pressure that is detected in advance by the pressure detection unit. Control means for controlling the adjusting means can be further included.
When the pressure applied to the stacked body sandwiched between the pair of heating rolls is detected by the pressure detection means, the control means can control the adjustment means so that the detected pressure becomes a predetermined pressure. For this reason, it is possible to provide an apparatus for producing an image recording body that can be adjusted so that an arbitrary pressure is applied to the laminate, and can perform versatile lamination.
The adjusting means can be constituted by an elastic member.
By configuring the adjusting means with an elastic member, the distance between the center axes of the pair of heating rolls can be adjusted according to the thickness of the laminated body by the biasing force of the elastic member. It is possible to provide an apparatus for producing an image recording body capable of performing certain laminating.
In addition, the said support body can be made into a sheet form.
Further, the laminating means can laminate the two sheet-like films via the support so that the image forming surfaces on which the images are formed face each other.
Moreover, the said lamination | stacking means can include the positioning means which aligns the edge part of the said sheet-like film, and the edge part of the said support body.
According to the image recording body manufacturing apparatus of the present invention, it is possible to provide a method for manufacturing an image recording body capable of performing versatile laminating. Specifically, an image forming step of forming an image on the surface of the sheet-like film by an electrophotographic method, the sheet-like film and the support, and at least an image-forming surface on which the image of the sheet-like film is formed A laminating step of laminating the laminate so that the surface to be laminated of the support faces each other, and a pair of heating rolls supported so as to be able to approach and separate from each other, and the laminate is sandwiched between the pair of heating rolls A laminating step for laminating the support with the sheet-like film, and in the laminating step, an adjusting means for adjusting a distance between central axes of the pair of heating rolls, and the pair of heating rolls. A pressure detecting means for detecting a pressure applied to the sandwiched laminate, and a pressure detected by the pressure detecting means And control means for controlling the adjusting means so that a defined pressure, said pair of heating so that pressure applied to the laminate which is sandwiched a predetermined pressure by the pair of heating rolls using An adjustment step of adjusting the distance between the center axes of the rolls is included.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
(First embodiment (reference example) )
First, an example of an image recording body manufactured by the image recording body manufacturing apparatus and the image recording body manufacturing method of the present invention will be described.
As shown in FIG. 2, the image recording body 30 of the present invention has a light-transmitting laminated film for electrophotography (hereinafter referred to as “hereinafter,“ a toner image is formed on at least one surface of a
The image recording body 30 includes a light transmissive film (hereinafter sometimes referred to as a front film) 22a on which an
Note that the configuration of the image recording body 30 is not limited to the example shown in FIG. 2, and for example, either the
Next, the support and the light transmissive film used in the present invention will be described. In the present invention, as described above, when the
-Core sheet-
The core sheet used in the present invention is preferably opaque so that an image formed on a light-transmitting film when it is a plastic sheet (image recording body) can be easily seen, and is more preferably colored in white. .
As the material of the core sheet, plastic is used. Specifically, there are acetate film, cellulose triacetate film, nylon film, polyester film, polycarbonate film, polystyrene film, polyphenylene sulfide film, polypropylene film, polyimide film, vinyl chloride and the like, among which polyester film, vinyl chloride and the like are preferable. Used.
The core sheet is colored by adding pigments or dyes thereto. In addition, the core sheet may be in the form of a film or plate, or may have a shape having a thickness that is not flexible or has a strength required for the core sheet. .
As the core sheet used in the present invention, a film made of a plastic having a thickness of 50 to 5000 μm is preferably used, and a PET film having a thickness of 100 to 1000 μm is more preferably used.
-Light transmissive film-
The light transmissive film in the present invention needs to have light transmissive properties, and a substrate usable for the light transmissive film needs to have transparency. Here, the term “transparency” means, for example, the property of transmitting a certain amount of light in the visible light region. In the present invention, at least the formed image passes through the substrate from the surface opposite to the surface on which the image is formed. It should just be transparent so that it can be visually observed.
As the substrate, a plastic film that can be used as a material for the core sheet can be used.
Among the above-mentioned various plastic films, polyester films, particularly PETG, those obtained by mixing polycarbonate with the PET, alloyed PET, non-biaxially stretched PET, amorphous polyester called A-PET, etc. Can be used more preferably.
The Vicat softening temperature of the substrate is preferably in the range of 70 to 130 ° C, more preferably in the range of 80 to 120 ° C.
If the Vicat softening temperature is less than 70 ° C., the light-transmitting film may not be sufficiently adhered and adhered to the core sheet (core) in the thermocompression bonding step. If the Vicat softening temperature exceeds 130 ° C., the image (image forming material) or the coating layer described later is too soft even if the above-mentioned adhesion / adhesion is sufficient, and the image has defects (image flow). May end up.
The Vicat softening temperature is measured from a method for evaluating the softening temperature of a thermoplastic resin, and the measurement method is a method for testing the heat resistance of a molded plastic material. Are defined in JIS K7206, ASTM D1525, and ISO306.
On the other hand, the surface resistivity of at least one surface of the substrate is preferably in the range of 1 × 10 8 to 1 × 10 13 Ω, and more preferably in the range of 1 × 10 9 to 1 × 10 11 Ω.
If the surface resistivity is less than 1 × 10 8 Ω, the resistance value of the image recording body becomes too low particularly at high temperature and high humidity, and for example, the transfer toner from the transfer member may be disturbed. When the value exceeds 1 × 10 13 Ω, the resistance value of the light-transmitting film used as an image recording body becomes too high, for example, the toner from the transfer member cannot be transferred to the film surface, and image defects due to transfer defects occur. There is a case.
The surface resistivity can be measured in accordance with JIS K6911 using a circular electrode (for example, “HR probe” of Hiresta IP manufactured by Mitsubishi Oil Chemical Co., Ltd.) in an environment of 23 ° C. and 55% RH. it can.

The

For example, a part of the end portion of the collating tray 36 is provided so that the
Further, the collating tray 36 has a

The pressure bonding method in the
In the present embodiment, first, in the
In the collating
Next, the collating tray 36 is moved up and down to the vicinity of the discharge portion of the
Next, in the
At this time, in the vicinity of the branch between the conveyance path 26 and the reversing
In the collating
As described above, the collating tray 36 is supplied with the first light-transmitting
Next, the end portions of the first
Finally, in the
The image recording body 30 formed by laminating the
Next, the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
Inside the
The
Note that the
As the material of the
Although not shown in the drawings as a method of returning to a predetermined position when the
As a pressure bonding method in the
The range in which the nip is formed by the heating and
Here, each of the
However, the undulation of the
In the present embodiment, the cooling
Further, in order to remove dirt and the like of the
Here, the thickness of the
As described above, when the light-transmitting film 22 and the
In the
Therefore, the

At both ends in the extending direction of the central axis of the heating and pressing roll 54B, the heating and pressing roll 54B is supported in a direction close to and away from the heating and
The
The
The bearing
As shown in FIG. 5A, the bearing
The
The
On the other hand, when the adjustment screw 69B is rotated in the anti-predetermined direction, the head 69E moves in a direction approaching the heating and
As described above, in the
Furthermore, as described above, the bearing
As described above, in the
As described above, according to the image recording
For this reason, the
Therefore, it is possible to provide a versatile laminate-capable image recording
Further, as described above, the distance between the central axes of the
Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the heating and

The bearing

Among these, it is preferable to use a metal compression coil spring from the viewpoint that it is easy to design and has characteristics that are not easily affected by environmental changes such as temperature.

As described above, the adjusting
As described above, according to the

(Third embodiment)
In the first embodiment, the distance between the central axes of the
Since the present embodiment has the same configuration as that of the above embodiment, the same portions are denoted by the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof is omitted.
As shown in FIG. 7, the heat and
At both ends in the central axis direction of the heating and pressing roll 54B, the heating and pressing roll 54B is supported in a direction close to and away from the heating and
In the present embodiment, the
The
The
The
The
The bearing
Note that the bearing
The bearing
Next, processing executed by the
In the
In the
In the
The adjustment pressure information is added at the time of lamination, for example, by providing the
In the
In
In the process of
Specifically, in
Then, rotation angle information corresponding to the distance corresponding to the adjustment pressure information indicating adjustment pressure equal to the subtraction result obtained by subtracting the pressure information calculated in
In the
The processing of
As described above, in the image recording
Further, by configuring the
In the present embodiment, the case where the
