以下、図5の簡易浄化装置17を用いて、本発明に係る包括固定化担体14を用いた場合(実施例1)と従来の担体を用いた場合(比較例1)について、水質浄化実験を行った。
(1)水槽
水槽サイズ:30cm×20cm×20cm(約15L)
(2)簡易浄化装置
バクターセルシステムローター(GEX製) ※本例では、ろ材は不使用
(実施例1)回転ドラム24内に本発明の包括固定化担体14を15mL封入
(比較例1)回転ドラム24内に従来の付着型担体を15mL封入
(3)その他設備
散気装置(エアストーン)
砂利不使用
温度調節装置(自動温度調節機付きセラミックヒータ)
上部フィルタ、底面フィルタにウールマットを設置
<飼育条件>
エサ :市販観賞魚用エサ(ひかりクレストカラシン:キョーリン製)
給餌方法 :1回/日、0.1g/回(窒素負荷0.527mg-N/L/日)
水温 :25℃
観賞魚 :ネオンテトラ30匹(死亡した魚は水槽から取り出し、補充しない)
その他 :水換えなし、殺藻剤無添加
<評価対象>
(1)本発明の包括固定化担体14(実施例)
前述した包括固定化担体の製造方法により、以下の着色包括固定化担体を用いた。
・汚泥 :浄水汚泥(脱水ケーキ)
・汚泥濃度 :2質量%/担体
・着色剤 :樹脂染色用染料 0.02質量%
・固定化材料:ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレート 5質量%
・重合促進剤:NNN’N’テトラメチルエチレンジアミン 0.0500質量%
・重合開始剤:過硫酸カリウム 0.0025質量%
(2)従来の付着型担体(比較例)
市販観賞魚用スポンジ担体
<評価方法>
・ 飼育水の水質変化
NH4-N(アンモニア性窒素) :NH4計(頻度:1回/日)
NOx−N(硝酸性窒素、亜硝酸性窒素):NOx計(頻度:1回/日)
<評価結果>
(1)飼育水の水質変化
図14は、飼育水質の経時変化の結果を示すグラフ図である。このうち、図14(a)は、飼育水中のアンモニア性窒素の濃度変化を示すグラフ図であり、図14(b)は、飼育水中の亜硝酸性窒素の濃度変化を示すグラフ図であり、図14(c)は、飼育水中の硝酸性窒素の濃度変化を示すグラフ図である。
次に、本発明に係る包括固定化担体として活性汚泥を用いた場合(実施例2)、浄水汚泥を用いた場合(実施例3)、比較例として担体を使用しなかった場合(比較例2)について水質浄化実験を行った。
藻の発生状況については、本発明の包括固定化担体14を用いた実施例2及び実施例3では、飼育開始から約16日経過後には少量の藻が発生し、約28日後には更に藻が増加した。そのうち、実施例2では水槽12内がぎりぎり観賞できる程度であったが、実施例3ではほとんど支障なく水槽12内のネオンテトラを観賞することができた。
Claims (9)
- 水生動物を飼育する水槽内の飼育水を浄化するための包括固定化担体であって、
高分子含水ゲル中に微生物が包括固定化されると共に、該包括固定化担体が着色されており、
前記包括固定化担体に含まれるリン含有量が0.05質量%以下であり、
前記包括固定化担体には殺藻剤が含まれること、
を特徴とする飼育水浄化用の包括固定化担体。 - 水生動物を飼育する水槽内の飼育水を浄化するための包括固定化担体であって、
高分子含水ゲル中に微生物が包括固定化されると共に、該包括固定化担体が着色されており、
前記包括固定化担体に含まれるリン含有量が0.05質量%以下であり、
前記包括固定化担体にはpH指示薬が含まれること、
を特徴とする飼育水浄化用の包括固定化担体。 - 前記包括固定化担体に含まれる微生物は硝化細菌であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の飼育水浄化用の包括固定化担体。
- 水生動物を飼育する水槽内の飼育水を浄化する方法であって、
水生動物を飼育するための飼育水を、請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載の包括固定化担体と接触させることにより前記飼育水を浄化することを特徴とする飼育水の浄化方法。 - 水生動物を飼育する水槽内の飼育水を浄化するための飼育水の浄化装置であって、
前記水槽内の飼育水を取り込むための取込口と、前記浄化した飼育水を前記水槽内に戻すための戻し口とを備えた透明な浄化槽と、
該浄化槽内に備えられた請求項1から3のいずれか一つに記載の包括固定化担体と、
前記浄化槽内にエアを送るための送気手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とする飼育水の浄化装置。 - 前記浄化槽内に水槽照明が設けられたことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の飼育水の浄化装置。
- 水生動物を飼育するための水槽の内部に、請求項5又は6に記載の浄化装置が設置されたことを特徴とする水槽セット。
- 水生動物を飼育するための水槽と、
前記水槽の外部に設置される請求項5又は6に記載の浄化装置と、
前記水槽内と前記浄化装置の取込口とを連通し、前記水槽内の飼育水を前記浄化装置へ取り込むための取込配管と、
前記浄化装置の戻し口と前記水槽内とを連通し、前記浄化装置内で浄化した飼育水を前記水槽内へ戻すための戻し配管と、
前記飼育水を前記水槽と前記浄化装置との間で循環させるため循環手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とする水槽セット。 - 水生動物を飼育するための水槽の内部に、請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載の包括固定化担体が備えられたことを特徴とする水槽セット。
