Description
The present invention relates to a winding device for obtaining a winding element built in, for example, a secondary battery.
For example, a battery element used as a secondary battery such as a lithium ion battery is configured by winding a belt-like body composed of a plus electrode foil, a minus electrode foil, and two separators.
Conventionally, as a winding device for winding a belt-like body, the electrode foil and the separator are wound around a rotatable core (rotating shaft), and the belt-like body wound after winding (winding body) There is known a method of detaching from the rotating shaft. In addition, in order to avoid the hindrance to removal of the wound body due to the winding pressure of the wound body, a cylindrical core core is attached to the rotating shaft, and the belt-like body is wound around the core core. In addition, after winding the belt-like body, a technique has been proposed in which the winding element is removed together with the core, that is, a winding element composed of the core and the belt-like body is used as a battery element.
However, aside from cutting a separator composed of a resin film, nonwoven fabric, etc., when cutting a metal electrode foil, when cutting with a predetermined tension as described above, Such a problem may occur. That is, as shown in FIG. 9, the cutter (cutting means) 91 includes a
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and the purpose thereof is a winding device that can suppress the occurrence of burrs and debris when cutting the electrode foil, and thus can prevent problems caused by these occurrences. Is to provide.
In the following, each means suitable for solving the above-described object will be described in terms of items. In addition, the effect specific to the means to respond | corresponds as needed is added.
Means 1. A rotating means configured to be rotatable around an axis and capable of winding at least a strip-shaped electrode foil based on its own rotation;
Tension applying means for applying tension to at least the electrode foil being wound;
A winding device comprising a cutting means for cutting the electrode foil,
When winding the electrode foil, a winding device is provided, which is provided with a relaxation means for weakening the tension applied to the electrode foil.
According to the means 1, at least the strip-shaped electrode foil is wound based on the rotation of the rotating means. Further, tension is applied to at least the wound electrode foil by the tension applying means. Further, at the end of winding, the electrode foil is cut by a cutting means. Now, in means 1, when cutting the electrode foil, the tension applied to the electrode foil until then is weakened by the relaxing means. Then, the electrode foil is cut in a state where the tension is weakened. For this reason, when the electrode foil is cut by a predetermined width, that is, when it is slightly connected before the completion of cutting, it is possible to suppress a situation in which the connected portion is torn off by tension. For this reason, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of burrs due to tearing or the occurrence of debris (metal powder), and hence the occurrence of defects. On the other hand, even if the tension is weakened, the electrode foil is made of metal and has a predetermined rigidity (shape retention), so that there is no particular difficulty in cutting.
Mean 2. A rotating means configured to be rotatable around an axis and capable of winding at least a strip-shaped electrode foil based on its own rotation;
A support means for supporting the raw material of the electrode foil wound in a roll shape;
An electrode having a gripping portion capable of gripping the electrode foil and capable of supplying the electrode foil extending from the support means toward the rotating means while the gripping portion grips the electrode foil when starting to wind the electrode foil Foil supply means;
A tension applying means that is provided between the support means and the electrode foil supply means, and applies tension to at least the electrode foil being wound;
A winding device provided between the electrode foil supply means and the rotating means and provided with a cutting means for cutting the electrode foil,
When cutting the electrode foil, the gripping part of the electrode foil supply means grips the electrode foil, and the gripping part moves toward the rotating means, so that the electrode foil supply means and the previous ones A winding device that reduces the tension of the electrode foil between rotating means.
According to the
Further, in the
Means 3. Even when the tension of the electrode foil between the electrode foil supply unit and the rotation unit is weakened by the movement of the grip unit toward the rotation unit, on the upstream side of the grip unit. The winding device according to
According to the
Even when the tension of the electrode foil between the electrode foil supply unit and the rotation unit is reduced by the movement of the grip unit toward the rotation unit, the tension control unit is 3. The winding device according to
Also in the
According to the
According to the
Mean 7 The electrode foil comprises a plus electrode foil and a minus electrode foil,
The positive electrode foil and the negative electrode foil are each configured to be wound in an insulated state through a strip-shaped separator made of an electrically insulating material,
Any of the
As in the above means 7, the positive electrode foil and the negative electrode foil are used as the electrode foils, and the positive electrode foil and the negative electrode foil are wound in an insulated state through a strip-shaped separator made of an electrically insulating material. You may comprise so that it may take. In this case, it is desirable that the supporting means, the electrode foil supply means, the tension applying means, and the cutting means described above are provided corresponding to the plus electrode foil and the minus electrode foil, respectively.
Means 8. The winding device according to any one of means 1 to 7, wherein the cutting means is configured to sandwich the strip-shaped electrode foil from one end side in the width direction toward the other end side.
When it is configured to cut the strip-shaped electrode foil at once (simultaneously) in the width direction, the structure is significantly complicated, and the feasibility is poor. In view of this point, like the means 8, as the cutting means, one configured to sandwich the strip-shaped electrode foil from one end in the width direction toward the other end is preferably used. On the other hand, as described above in the section of “Problem to be Solved by the Invention”, when the electrode is configured so as to be sandwiched from one end side to the other end side in the width direction, at a certain timing, the electrode A state where the foil is cut by a predetermined width, that is, a state where the foil is slightly connected before the completion of cutting, may actually occur. Therefore, in the case of being configured as the means 8, the electrode foil may be cut by a predetermined width at a certain timing, but it is still not torn, and the above-described means 1 to 7 are more effective. It can be said that it is surely successful.
Means 9. The cutting means is
By being provided with a pedestal part and a blade part, the band-shaped electrode foil is configured to be sandwiched from one end side in the width direction toward the other end side,
The means 8 according to claim 8, further comprising a pressing portion that is movable toward and away from the pedestal portion, wherein the electrode foil is clamped between the pedestal portion and the pressing portion when the pinching is performed. Winding device.
According to the means 9, the strip-shaped electrode foil is sandwiched between the pedestal portion and the blade portion from the one end side in the width direction toward the other end side. Further, the clipping is realized after the electrode foil is sandwiched between the pedestal part and the pressing part that is movable toward and away from the pedestal part. For this reason, even when the tension of the electrode foil is considerably reduced, more reliable cutting can be realized.
Means 10. The winding device according to any one of means 1 to 9, wherein when the electrode foil is cut, the tension of the cut electrode foil is made zero.
According to the means 10, when the electrode foil is cut, the tension of the electrode foil to be cut is made zero. For this reason, the situation where an electrode foil will be torn off can be prevented reliably. In addition, in relation to the
Hereinafter, an embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings.
First, the structure of the lithium ion battery element as a winding element obtained by the winding device of this embodiment will be described. As shown in FIG. 1, a lithium ion battery element (hereinafter referred to as “battery element”) 1 has two
In the present embodiment, the
The
The
In obtaining a lithium ion battery, the battery element 1 is placed in a cylindrical battery container (not shown) made of metal, and the positive electrode lead and the negative electrode lead are combined. Then, the combined positive lead is connected to a positive terminal component (not shown), the negative electrode lead is also connected to a negative terminal component (not shown), and both terminal components are opened at both ends of the electric container. By providing in, a lithium ion battery can be obtained.
Next, the winding

The winding

The receiving
The receiving
In the rotating means 20 configured as described above, the
The description returns to the winding
The winding position P2 is a position for winding the belt-
On the most upstream side of the plus electrode foil supply mechanism, an
In the middle of the supply path of the
Further, in the middle of the supply path of the
The above is the description of the plus electrode foil supply mechanism, but the minus electrode foil supply mechanism for supplying the
Next, a method for manufacturing the battery element 1 using the winding
First, by rotating the turret 12 half-clockwise, one rotating
In the rotating means 20 located at the winding position P2, the
Subsequently, at the winding position P2, the rotating means 20 (winding core 21) is rotated. When the predetermined timing arrives, the electrode foil supply means 47 of the plus electrode foil supply mechanism and the minus electrode foil supply mechanism are operated, and the electrode foils 5 and 6 are supplied toward the
When the winding of the
Here, the process of cutting the
Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the
Then, with this state maintained, the cutting
In this embodiment, even after the cutting by the cutting means 91, the gripping of the
As described above in detail, according to the present embodiment, when cutting, the plus electrode foil 5 (minus electrode foil 6) is cut by a predetermined width, that is, a state in which the
Further, in this embodiment, the tension is not weakened by the
In addition, in the present embodiment, tension can be continuously applied to the electrode foils 5 and 6 on the upstream side of the
In addition, it is not limited to the description content of the said embodiment, For example, you may implement as follows. Of course, other application examples and modification examples not illustrated below are also possible.
