Description
The present invention relates to a terminal accommodating apparatus for accommodating a PSTN terminal such as an analog telephone or a G3 facsimile in a VoIP class.
In recent years, VoIP technology for providing voice communication such as telephone and facsimile on an IP network has been developed.
Also in the conventional public circuit switched network (PSTN), it is predicted that in the future facility renewal, the facility will be renewed efficiently by using the VoIP technology.
However, many of the terminal devices such as analog telephones and G3 facsimiles connected to the conventional PSTN are user assets, and even when the PSTN is renewed using the VoIP technology, the conventional PSTN terminal device can be connected as it is. It is necessary to do so.
Conventionally, there are two methods for connecting a PSTN terminal to a VoIP network as shown in FIG.
One is a method in which a VoIP terminal adapter (VoIP-TA) is connected to an IP access network such as an ADSL line, a PSTN terminal is connected to a VoIP-TA PSTN terminal interface, and VoIP is used. (For example, see Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2)
The other is to leave the PSTN network such as a subscriber exchange or relay exchange accommodating the PSTN terminal as it is, and to control the call processing of the PSTN terminal using the PSTN exchange, and to connect the IP network as a relay connection through the PSTN gateway exchange. Is a method of connecting to a VoIP network via a media gateway (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 3)
In the above method using the first VoIP-TA, since the user / network interface (UNI) is IP, the PSTN terminal cannot directly connect to the network, and the user is aware that the connection is IP connection. In addition, it is necessary to newly prepare an ADSL modem and VoIP-TA as user-side equipment.
Further, in the method of connecting the second PSTN network to the VoIP network via the gateway exchange and the media gateway, the PSTN exchange will not be required in the future, and the communication carrier needs to maintain and manage the PSTN exchange continuously. As a result, the network configuration becomes large and the flexibility of the IP network cannot be utilized, and the original purpose of renewing the PSTN facility using the VoIP technology cannot be achieved.
The present invention provides a PSTN terminal accommodation apparatus that can eliminate the above-described drawbacks of the prior art and can accommodate a conventional PSTN terminal as it is when the PSTN is renewed using the VoIP technology. With the goal.
To achieve the above object, the terminal accommodating apparatus according to the present invention is a terminal accommodation apparatus for accommodating a PSTN terminal to the VoIP network, the subscriber line Intafu E over scan terminating subscriber line connected to the PSTN terminal a functional unit has an IP Intafu E over scan function part for connecting to the IP network, and a conversion function for converting both control protocol mutually, the conversion function includes a plurality of conventional PSTN switch A subscriber line signal scenario having a subscriber circuit control sequence stored therein, the VoIP control signal from a call agent connected to the IP interface function unit, and the subscriber line signal according to the outgoing and incoming states of the subscriber terminal controls the subscriber line interface feature by selecting the appropriate subscriber circuit control sequence from the scenario, check the normality of the call from the IP network side When receiving the test instruction to request, characterized in that as with the test function unit for implementing subscriber line testing the subscriber line interface part, establish communication of the converted VoIP protocol .
According to this PSTN terminal accommodating apparatus, the subscriber line interface function unit connected to the PSTN terminal is stored in the subscriber line signal scenario unit in response to the VoIP control signal from the call agent connected to the IP interface function unit. The PSTN terminal can be accommodated in the IP network as it is because it is controlled according to the subscriber circuit control sequence of the conventional PSTN switch.
In PSTN terminal accommodation apparatus of the present invention, Intafu E over scan between the subscriber line Intafu E over scan function unit the conversion function is speech current supply characteristic and the AC signal to the subscriber line of the traditional PSTN exchange What is designed to be equal to the electrical characteristics of the subscriber circuit control Intafu E over scan including impedance to is preferred.
According to this structure, the subscriber line Intafu E over scan portion can be utilized subscriber circuit of a conventional PSTN switch.

If comprised in this way, it will become possible to control a some subscriber line interface function part by one conversion function part, and it will become possible to accommodate a some PSTN terminal by one PSTN terminal accommodation apparatus.
According to the above-described PSTN terminal accommodation apparatus, even when the PSTN is renewed using the VoIP technology, the conventional PSTN terminal can be accommodated in the VoIP network as it is without any user awareness.
