Description
参照ピクチャは、ピクチャ・レベルまたはスライス・レベルでのフレーム単位で考慮することができ、フレーム単位の参照ピクチャ・インデックスが計算される。
参照ピクチャ・インデックスは、ピクチャ(またはスライス)・レベルで得られたフレーム単位の参照ピクチャ・インデックスに関してマクロブロック・ペアの単位でコード化を実施する間に、マクロブロックのコード化モードに従って修正される。このプロセスについては、以下で説明する。
フレーム・マクロブロックについては、参照フレームを用いて動き補償を実施することができるので、参照ピクチャ・インデックスをフレーム単位とすることができる。したがって、ピクチャ(または、スライス)・レベルで得られた、フレーム単位の参照ピクチャ・インデックスが使用される。
フィールド・マクロブロックについては、参照フィールドを用いて動き補償を実施することができるので、参照ピクチャ・インデックスはフィールド単位とすることができる。この場合、参照バッファには、互いに逆のパリティを有するフィールド・ペアが存在する。したがって、ピクチャ(またはスライス)・レベルで得られた、フレーム単位の参照ピクチャ・インデックスに従って参照フレームに順次アクセスする間に、各参照フレームを2つのフィールドに分割する。次に、参照ピクチャ・インデックスが、新しく各フィールドに割り振られる。各参照フレームの2つのフィールドに対する参照ピクチャ・インデックスは、様々な方法で割り振られる(ケース1から4)。
現在のフィールド・マクロブロックのトップ・フィールド・マクロブロックであるかボトム・フィールド・マクロブロックであるかとは無関係に、ピクチャ(またはスライス)・レベルで得られた参照ピクチャ・インデックスの順に参照フレームに順次アクセスする間に、下位インデックスをトップ参照フィールドに割り振り、上位インデックスをボトム参照フィールドに割り振る。

現在のフィールド・マクロブロックのトップ・フィールド・マクロブロックであるかボトム・フィールド・マクロブロックであるかとは無関係に、ピクチャ(またはスライス)・レベルで得られた参照ピクチャ・インデックスの順番に参照フレームに順次アクセスする間に、下位インデックスをボトム参照フィールドに割り振り、上位インデックスをトップ参照フィールドに割り振る。

ボトム参照フィールド・インデックス=2×参照フレームのピクチャ・インデックス
ピクチャ(またはスライス)・レベルでの参照ピクチャ・インデックスの順序に従って参照フレームに順次アクセスする間に、現在のフィールドと同じパリティを有する参照フィールドから始まり、現在のフィールドと異なるパリティを有する参照フィールドへの順で、1ずつ増やされたインデックスが各参照フィールドに交互に割り振られる。図10と11は、PフレームとBフレームのフィールド・マクロブロックに対する参照ピクチャ・インデックスを示す。
現在のフィールド・マクロブロックのトップ・フィールド・マクロブロックであるかボトム・フィールド・マクロブロックであるかとは無関係に、ピクチャ(またはスライス)・レベルの参照ピクチャ・インデックスの順に参照フレームに順次アクセスする間に、下位インデックスを、時間的に現在のフィールドに近い参照フィールドに割り振り、上位インデックスを、時間的に現在のフレームから遠い参照フィールドに割り振る。

Claims (1)
- フィールド・マクロブロックを処理するための参照フィールドピクチャインデックスを決定する方法であって、
参照ピクチャリスト0の場合は、参照フレームピクチャインデックスを、表示順に基づいて参照フレームピクチャに割り振ることを含み、表示順序が前記フィールド・マクロブロックより前になる参照フレームピクチャに対して、前記参照フレームピクチャインデックスが表示順序の逆の順序に割り振られ、表示順序が前記フィールド・マクロブロックより後になる参照フレームピクチャに対して、残りのインデックスが表示順で割り振られ、且つ、
参照ピクチャリスト1の場合は、参照フレームピクチャインデックスを、表示順に基づいて参照フレームピクチャに割り振ることを含み、表示順序が前記フィールド・マクロブロックより後になる参照フレームピクチャに対して、前記参照フレームピクチャインデックスが表示順に割り振られ、表示順序が前記フィールド・マクロブロックより前になる参照フレームピクチャに対して、残りのインデックスが表示順序の逆の順序で割り振られ、
