Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a motor unit for an electric vehicle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In an electric vehicle, a motor (electric motor) is used for driving an axle. As a method for cooling a motor for an electric vehicle, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 7-11758 and 7-11759 disclose cooling using a cylindrical cooling jacket and a spiral pipe, respectively. Japanese Patent No. -46972 discloses a cooling structure in which a cooling water channel of a motor drive control switching element and a stator cooling water channel of a motor are directly communicated with each other through a communication water channel.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above-described conventional technology, cooling of one motor including the periphery including the motor or switching element of the electric vehicle is considered.
[0004]
By the way, when various types of electric vehicles are developed, it may be more advantageous to install a plurality of small motors in a single motor unit in a vehicle than to install one large motor. For example, when the space on the vehicle chassis is limited, it may be possible to mount the motor directly on the axle or tire under the spring of the vehicle body, not on the vehicle chassis. In this case, the motor is directly subjected to vibration from the road surface. For this reason, it becomes stricter in terms of reliability than when mounted on a chassis. Therefore, it may be advantageous to use a drive source equivalent to one large motor as a single motor unit with a plurality of small motors that can effectively use the space on the chassis of the vehicle.
[0005]
As an example, there is a case where a low-floor property such as a non-step bus is required in a bus that operates by driving a motor by a fuel cell, such as a so-called fuel cell bus. In this case, the space for mounting the motor on the chassis of the vehicle body is limited, so that, for example, each output shaft from two small motors is driven by one power transmission mechanism rather than mounting one large motor. A low-floor fuel cell bus is designed by designing a low-profile drive source as an output, mounting the low-profile drive source on the chassis, and inputting the drive output to the rear axle via the propeller shaft. Can be realized. As described above, the use of the motor unit is advantageous not only in the fuel cell bus but also in a mounting space in a low floor vehicle or the like.
[0006]
In such a motor unit, it is necessary to cool all of the plurality of motors to a predetermined ambient temperature or lower, but the conventional technology does not consider this problem.
[0007]
For example, since there is a limit to the size of a cooling device that can be mounted on a vehicle, the flow rate of a coolant such as cooling water for cooling a plurality of motors is also limited. Therefore, in order to supply the refrigerant flow rate from the cooling device to each of the plurality of motors, for example, it is conceivable to connect the refrigerant discharge port of the first motor in series with the refrigerant supply port of the second motor. However, in this case, when comparing the first motor to which the refrigerant is first supplied from the cooling device and the second motor to which the refrigerant is supplied from the refrigerant discharge port of the first motor, the second motor side Is supplied with a higher temperature refrigerant even at the same refrigerant flow rate. Therefore, a difference in cooling temperature occurs between the first motor and the second motor, and the second motor is not sufficiently cooled compared to the first motor. In order to sufficiently cool the second motor as well, it is necessary to increase the cooling capacity of the cooling device, for example, by increasing the flow rate of the refrigerant. This causes a problem that the cooling device becomes large and expensive.
[0008]
The object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems and problems not considered by the prior art, efficiently cool the individual motors of the motor unit without making the cooling device large and expensive, and make the cooling temperature the same. An object of the present invention is to provide an electric vehicle motor unit.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a motor unit of an electric vehicle according to the present invention is a motor unit that is provided in an electric vehicle and has a plurality of electric motors, and is close and planar so as to have a low profile as a whole. arranged, each having a cooling jacket, possess a plurality of motors, the plurality of cooling jackets that are provided corresponding to the electric motor, and each coolant supply port and the coolant outlet are driven simultaneously, At least each of the refrigerant supply ports is arranged on the side where the plurality of electric motors are close to each other so as to be close to each other, and each of the refrigerant supply ports close to each other is connected to a branch portion provided at the tip. a coolant supply pipe which has a coolant discharge pipe for connecting each said coolant outlet to the branch portion provided on the tip, the, and supplying in parallel the coolant to the cooling jacket.
[0010]
In the motor unit of the electric vehicle according to the present invention, a plurality of electric motors are arranged close to each other, and the cooling paths of the plurality of electric motors are connected in parallel to the refrigerant supply pipe and the refrigerant discharge pipe connected to the cooling device. Accordingly, since the refrigerant is supplied to the individual motors in parallel and discharged in parallel, the individual motors are cooled in the same way, and when the plurality of motors are equivalent motors having the same performance and the same size, for example. Can make the cooling temperature the same.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014]
Due to the rotational movement of the individual motors 11, 21, the motors 11, 21 generate heat, for example, at the stator windings. Therefore, a coolant such as cooling water from a cooling device (not shown) passes through the coolant supply pipe 31 and branches into a bifurcated portion from the

Therefore, since the refrigerant for the motors 11 and 21 flows together to the branching
[0016]
In the above-described embodiment, two motors have been described. Even in a plurality of three or more motors, the plurality of motors are arranged close to each other and connected in parallel to the refrigerant supply pipe and the refrigerant discharge pipe connected to the cooling device. The present invention can be implemented by connecting the refrigerant supply port and the refrigerant discharge port of each motor.
[0017]
In the above embodiment, the structure of the cooling jacket has been described with a helical cooling pipe. However, the present invention can be implemented with other structures, such as a cooling channel structure with a cylindrical cavity.
[0018]
Furthermore, the present invention can be implemented not only with cooling water but also with other cooling gas, for example.
[0019]
【The invention's effect】
Without making the cooling device large and expensive, the individual motors in the motor unit of the electric vehicle can be efficiently cooled, and the cooling temperatures of the individual motors can be made the same.
