BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a gas sensor connection state determination method and a constant potential electrolytic gas measuring instrument. More specifically, the present invention relates to a gas sensor connection state determination method and a constant potential electrolysis gas measuring device that can instantaneously determine and notify an abnormality of a connection state of a gas sensor and a gas sensor.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The constant potential electrolysis gas sensor in the prior art applies a constant potential to the working electrode and the counter electrode of the gas sensor to detect the electrolytic current generated by the inflow of the target gas. However, in the absence of the target gas, the impedance is extremely high. The sensor is not connected or disconnected.if it occursThe gas concentration value does not change or shows an abnormally high value or an abnormally low value.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-mentioned constant potential electrolysis gas sensor, the gas concentration value does not change even if connection failure or disconnection of each electrode of the sensor occurs in the state where there is no one target gas between the working electrode and the counter electrode. Therefore, there is a problem that it is difficult to determine whether the value indicated by the sensor indicates the gas concentration or is due to disconnection or the like.
[0004]
In addition, in the prior art, since the potential change pulse of only the counter electrode and the reference electrode is applied via the potentiostat circuit, a potential difference is generated between the working electrode, the counter electrode and the reference electrode, and the forced current is passed through the electrolyte. When the pulse potential and the pulse width are increased, the gas concentration zero point stability deteriorates.
[0005]
Therefore, in the constant potential electrolytic gas sensor, it is possible to determine and notify a connection abnormality such as a failure or disconnection of the gas sensor (counter electrode, reference electrode, working electrode), prevent deterioration of the gas concentration zero point stability, There are problems that must be solved.
[0006]

[0009]
In such a gas sensor connection state determination method and constant potential electrolytic gas measuring instrument, the output voltage of the potentiostat circuit to which a steady potential is applied is measured according to a predetermined period programmed by the microprocessor, and then A potential change pulse for changing the operating potential to a preset gas sensor is applied to the potentiostat circuit, and the output voltage of the potentiostat circuit being applied is measured. The microprocessor calculates the potential difference between the measured output voltages, and compares it with a predetermined reference potential (standard value) to instantly determine any abnormality or connection abnormality in the sensor unit (counter electrode or reference electrode of the gas sensor). Based on this determination, an abnormality display and alarm can be generated in the case of an abnormality.
[0010]
As described above, in accordance with a predetermined period programmed by the microprocessor, the output voltage of the gas concentration amplifier circuit to which a steady potential is applied is measured, and then a potential change pulse for changing the operating potential to a preset gas sensor is applied to the gas concentration. Applied to the amplifier circuit, the output voltage of the gas concentration amplifier circuit being applied is measured. The microprocessor calculates the potential difference between the measured output voltages and compares it with a predetermined reference potential (standard value) to instantly detect any abnormality or connection abnormality in the sensor unit (gas sensor working electrode, amplification resistor circuit). If there is an abnormality based on this determination, an abnormality display and alarm are generated. If the determination result is normal, the gas concentration is calculated based on the output voltage of the gas concentration amplifier circuit when a steady potential is applied. And display.
[0011]
In addition, by applying the steady potential and potential change pulse (pulse width) applied to the potentiostat circuit and the gas concentration amplifier circuit at the same timing, no potential difference occurs between the electrodes of the gas sensor. Since there are no restrictions on the potential and pulse width, it is possible to prevent the deterioration of the gas concentration zero point stability.
[0012]
Furthermore, it is possible to measure the gas concentration at a distant position by constant potential electrolytic gas measurement in which the sensor unit is separated from the gas measuring device. In this case as well, the sensor unit (gas sensor) and the sensor can be measured in the same manner as described above. As well as being able to detect abnormalities such as disconnection of the connection cord (each connection line) that connects the gas meter to the gas meter, the connection cord (for example, shielded cable of shielded cable) ), It is possible to detect when the sensor unit, the connection cord (each connection line), and the gas measuring device are short-circuited.

【The invention's effect】
The potentiostat circuit and the gas sensor concentration amplifying circuit when a steady potential is applied at a predetermined cycle programmed by the microprocessor by the constant potential electrolytic gas measuring instrument using the gas sensor connection state determination method as described above. Measure the output voltage and the output voltage of the potentiostat circuit and gas concentration amplifying circuit when applying a potential change pulse that changes the operating potential of the preset sensor, find the potential difference between the measured output voltages and the standard value By comparing, abnormalities or connection abnormalities of the sensor unit (gas sensor, amplification resistor circuit) can be instantaneously detected. If abnormal, an abnormal display and alarm are generated. If the determination result is normal, a steady potential is applied. Since the gas concentration calculated based on the output voltage of the gas concentration amplification circuit at the time is displayed, the gas sensor and its Or such connection state that is abnormal, (no change before and after the measurement, the measurement range of the measured value) Normal measurement whether it is can be clearly identified.
[0083]
In addition, since the potential, pulse width, and timing of the potential change pulse applied to the potentiostat circuit and the gas concentration amplifier circuit are the same, there is no potential difference between the electrodes (counter electrode, reference electrode, working electrode) of the gas sensor. The restriction conditions of the pulse potential and the pulse width are eliminated, and the gas concentration zero point stability can be prevented from deteriorating.
[0084]
Furthermore, when measuring the gas concentration at a distant position, use a constant potential electrolytic gas measuring instrument in which the gas measuring instrument provided with the sensor unit and the sensor control unit is a separate unit, and a cord provided in the gas measuring instrument. By applying a predetermined voltage (reference voltage) to the connection cord (for example, the shield wire of the seal cord) with the potential setting device, it is possible to detect abnormalities such as disconnection of the sensor unit and the connection cord. There is an advantage that it is possible to detect when each connection line is short-circuited.
